Allure really puts a lot of time and thought into their boxes… I receive thy Ipsy Plus bag as well as Boxycharm sub boxes besides Allure and it says a lot that most months, it’s my Allure box I look forward to most! It’s value is always crazy high for A $15 Sub and every month I get a great variety of products, unlike the Subs that send repeat items quite often. AND, most months there are 2 or 3 full sizes and just 1 of those items is 3X the cost of the box itself. The past 3 months have been focused mostly on skincare which I love. So excited for the Peach and Lily serum, and loved the full size glow serum I received 2 months ago. Can’t wait to see what they come out with for August!

I’m bummed about the purple liner. I got the blush and lip tint in an Ipsy last year and it doesn’t show up on my cheeks alot and it’s too light for my lips. I’ll have to donate it or find someone to mail it to. 🙁

Cancel through Allure and order through Amazon. You always know when it is coming and can skip months you don’t like what is in the box easily!

How disappointing!

I never got acne until I was an adult. Like another commenter said I dont have insurance and cant afford to pay to see a dermatologist. If it wasnt for the products I get from my beauty subscriptions and buy separately I’d be miserable. Adult acne can be a real confidence killer so finding products that help with it is important to me at least. I love that some beauty subs think to include products like this

Adult acne is actually pretty common! My moms in her 40s and still gets acne regularly. Not everyone can afford to see a dermatologist and my insurance doesn’t even cover the medical creams anyway. I’ve been able to control my acne thanks to “diy” products as has my mom. I love getting acne patches in boxes!

Believe it or not adult acne is allot more common than you would think. A dermatologist is NOT a cure all. As a matter of fact i have been to a few different ones whom prescribed me expensive acne prescriptions, given me skin care routines, all to not work, sometimes making my acne worse than it was before. My skin has finally gotten better due to my own trial and error and research. To some, acne skin care in subscription boxes can really help certain people find their holy grails for their acne. If anything, acne products are given so much more less and catered too far less in sub boxes, and allot of us are stuck with products we cant use due to sensitive skin. So i would say that this particular curation will be appreciated by us acne sufferers 🙂 .

What is “Refa” or “Refa Offer”?
Reply
Sherri
Refa is some sort of facial roller device (I didn’t really look into, it so I don’t have any details), and Allure sent subscribers an email with a link (i.e. the Refa offer) to purchase one at a discounted price.

What is refa anyway? I always enjoy my allure boxes

Is it just me or is this beauty box turning into an all-skincare, all-the-time box? They throw in the occasional lipstick or eyeliner, but what about other things?
Reply
Bonnie
I feel like this box is generally more skin care than makeup, with some hair care thrown in. Always masks. Then they have a collab with an influencer and we get some makeup.

I’ve been looking for the Refa offer but never received an email from Allure. Can anyone help? Thank you

Sherri
Try calling or emailing them (they’ve always been very responsive to me via email). As best as I can tell, the email subscribers got provides a link for purchase specific to the subscribers account.

The only things that are peaking my interest are the sunscreen, sheet mask, and the acne patches.

Does anyone know what the Refa discount is? I received an email from Allure to resubscribe to their box for the discount but I’m not sure what the discount is to see if I want to resub. Thanks in advance for any info!

I just found my email – $99 (a $290 value)

Is anyone buying the refa? Or has used and would recommend? I don’t know enough about it and the last hour I spent looking at reviews was unhelpful.
Otherwise very excited about this box. Had been gone for 10 mo but liked the April box well enough and love the may and k beauty boxes!

I don’t know if any of the subscription organizations read your site (I hope they do).
Maybe if they see how we’re bubbling over with joy at getting a not-black eyeliner, they’ll try to include colors in their offerings.

This box does look really good! I might bite on this one and deal with standing in line at the post office for a half an hour or more to pick it up… Idk… I have a stock pile of skincare… I still don’t like the variation factor. I can’t stand Sunday Riley.

If you order it thorough Amazon, they only sell one version of the box each month. You will be able to see exactly what you will get on Amazon. Like for this month, you will get the VDL primer for sure if you order it through Amazon.

Thank you. I appreciate it, but I really do not want to have anything to with Amazon if I can help it.

The Peach & Lily sold me on this one
