Allure Beauty Box June 2020 Review
A handy booklet has all the product info inside.
Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb Aloe Vera, 10 mL – Estimated Value $7.60 (Buy 50 mL for $38.00)
I tend to like these lightweight Belif creams and this one a summertime dream with an added aloe element to a cult fave! This does have denatured alcohol pretty early on into the ingredient list, so if you are avoiding alcohols, keep that in mind. More on this here! This formula has a lightweight scent and a lightweight texture to match, and, of course, it feels amazing if you keep it cold in the fridge.
Yensa Super 8 Lip Oil in 'Pink Shine', 0.23 oz - Full Size! Retail Value $28.00
I tried this lip oil a few months ago, and I am going through it pretty fast! It gives my lips just a bare wash of pink and SO much shine. It also has a sweet scent that reminds me of candy. Inside are nourishing oils from coconut and avocado seed, as well as vitamin E. Needless to say, this minimal lip boost fits right in line with my minimal routine these days, but it looks equally as great on top of a bold lip shade.
Glossy!
Dashing Diva Gloss Ultra Shine Gel Palette - Retail Value $8.00
My nails are just terrible. Professional gel polish doesn't even stick to them for more than a week and though an acrylic overlay did manage to add length without peeling, it is just too much $$$ and work for me right now. I usually just end up repolishing every 3 or 4 days with normal polish. These stickers were intriguing because they are like a gel polish sticker, and application was easy! First, wipe your nails down with alcohol or acetone. Then, simply pick out the correct size for your nail (in my case I used all the small ones pretty fast), apply, then buff the excess off with the included file. My nails are so small and short I can easily get double the use here if I cut the individual nail covers in half! These did end up lasting longer than regular nail polish normally would and the nail art aspect was adorable, so I enjoyed these a lot.
Especially loving that cute ring finger design.
Purlisse Watermelon + Charcoal Purifying Cleanser, 3.4 oz - Full Size! Retail Value $35.00
FYI: Subscribers will receive either this or a full-size Context Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream.
I know loads of people love this cleanser, but for me personally the watermelon scent was a lot and it was super sweet! It does feel like summer though, I will admit. I loved the formula itself a lot more than the scent. It is infused with charcoal to purify pores, vitamins A, B6, and C, oats to calm irritation, and white tea antioxidants. If you already have dry skin, reserve this for every few days, because it does such an effective job of cleansing that it can make your skin feel a little tight! It was pretty awesome to see such a popular product in this box, and in a full-size tube to boot!
La Roche-Posay Active C10, 5 mL - Estimated Value $8.33 (Buy a full-size 30 mL for $49.99)
FYI: Subscribers will receive either this or Shangpree Gold Black Pearl Eye Masks.
Our last item is a lightweight cream with loads of antioxidants, vitamins C and E, and hydrating and soothing elements. It also should have a brightening effect over time due to the vitamin C which should help fade dark spots! It does have a light fragrance that I kind of liked, and it also had wonderful absorption on my face, making it great as a daytime cream. This little tube should last quite some time since it takes just barely a little bit to cover my face.
Verdict: This Allure box has a total value of around $98.30, which is great for a $15 box. There were also two full-size items this month, one of which was worth over double the cost of the box, so this is automatically an awesome value. I was thrilled to see my fave sheet mask make an appearance, and I also thought the nail covers were a cool thing that I don't often see in boxes. The lip oil was a hit and I am happy to have a new tube. Both of the facial creams had textures and benefits I liked. All in all, I think June was a pretty wonderful month for Allure's beauty box.
