The Detox Box was supposed to feature RMS beauty for June but due to recent comments and behaviour by RMS’s founder they scrambled to change the brand last minute. I am guessing that’s why they featured a Canadian brand for Canada as they could receive the product quicker for the boxes since shipping across borders during COVID has been excessive. This is just my guess on it.
I was very unhappy with how the Detox Market handled the situation for their Canadian subscribers, the Graydon box was “sold out” even before it was revealed. I’ve been subscribed for 2 years and now I am considering leaving it.
The Detox Market should take note from Beauty Heroes, BH sold out of July’s box but immediately worked with the brand to make more boxes available for their customers.

I thought it was a “fill in”. The brand seemed to be an unusual choice for Detox and the collection of items were odd. They featured two Vitamin C serums back to back (One Love Organics and 100% Pure) and their was only one printed card with no brand founder interview. It felt rushed. What’s the deal with RMS? Where can I find the scoop on the behavior that changed the box?

This is such a disappointment for me, I already have 3-of these 5 products and I don’t wear makeup so this was kind of a throw-away for me, I’ll just have to gift it to someone I suppose, I was really hoping they were going to do a mixed brand box like they did last month

Their boxes have been so strong for months in a row, plus with the pandemic, they were due for a bad box and this is definitely it. I got the same vitamin c serum from BeautyFix and it was really disappointing. Unlike last months vitamin c serum from One Love Organics which was bomb! I hope they pick their game back up!

I am not excited about this box, but I actually don’t think it’s necessarily bad… it’s just really boring. I HATED April’s box, the one with all the sustainable stuff. It actually gave me more junk that I needed, defeating the purpose of sustainability IMHO. I couldn’t even give that box away on my FB group’s beauty exchange page.
While I think this month’s box is boring, I actually use almost all of these products now. So it’s not a complete dud to me and I will use these to replenish my stock. The mascara, eye cream, and eye masks are actually all great. However, I do agree with you that the OLO Vit C serum is better than 100% Pure’s, and the fact that Detox Box put two Vit C serums, in back-to-back boxes, makes me think that there were issues with supplies and shortages and this was the best box they could pull together.

I complained to them about that April box. I was furious about the curation. This is not a cheap sub box. We expect better and rightly so. This box is a snore too. May was great and hopefully, July will be too.

I was so disappointed to miss out on the May Box but this June Box is a mega disappointment! I wish Detox Box would keep up its consistency

To respond to others on See New Skincare Subscription Box from another thread. They will be restocking their May/June Kahina Beauty box on 6/20. Also, Meagan here on MSA will be reviewing it 😍

Oh interesting. I live in Canada and the detox box is actually different from the US this month. I’ve never seen them do that before. They’re always the same boxes…
We get two full sized products from Graydon Skincare which is exciting. If I was in the states I would honestly be disappointed in this box. Interesting how they switched it up, I wonder if they will continue to do that.

What products will be included? 🙂 I received an email recently from The Detox Market stating that they’re now carrying Graydon Skincare and the email pictured their Full Moon serum and Superfood serum. I actually was surprised by the email because I always thought Graydon was a brand they already carried, and for some reason I thought had already been featured in Detox Box, lol.

Nice! I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the Skin Stuff Ceramide Cream. It sounds lovely 🙂 Enjoy!
Alysha
Hey Luna! The Skin Stuff Ceramide cream and the Full Moon serum are included in the Canadian Detox Box for this month!
Linda
@ Alysha… that would be a great box, but considering Graydon is Canadian, in one way it makes sense and in another way, it doesn’t. It should be the same across the board. Otherwise, I sure would have jumped on it! 🙂

I totally agree! In a way it makes sense, but at the same time it doesn’t. We’ve been exposed to so many American brands over the last couple of years but maybe it had to do with the amount of stock? It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few months as well

My first time ordering the Detox box and wish I hadn’t. Just underwhelming.

I am impressed with all the shipping issues and other things that could strike a warehouse, they were still able to put a decent box together. I have the C as well but I can always gift this bottle and everything else I will gladly use. Good to hear positive comments on the eye cream. I am over the moon with lilfox eye oil but am up for another brand that has great reviews.

I find this box full too. I have to agree that at least every other month it is like getting. Beautyfix box that costs less than half. A couple of these boxes have been great. I’m not sure why they send out duds in between, but it’s disappointing for sure. It must be why they don’t put out any spoilers prior to charging us.

To me this is a let down as well! I’m always hoping for Trying new luxe brands and I already have the vitamin c as well from beautyfix. Now really interested in the other items either

I agree with Linda upthread. Detox Box is so hit or miss for me. This one is a letdown.
I do really like the mascara, eye cream, and the eye masks — all of which I already have now — but I don’t need another Vit C serum. I think I would’ve preferred body products from 100% Pure. Offer me a cleaner alternative to Bath and Body Works lol. It would’ve made a great gift too, if I decided not to keep the box.
I think this *could* be a good box if you are brand new to clean beauty? But 100% Pure is a really accessible clean beauty brand so I’m not sure these products belong in an upscale beauty box. I’d rather my subscription boxes force me outside of my comfort zone and give me products I wouldn’t normally buy on my own due to price per item or unfamiliarity with the brand. Since I already have almost all of these, and they are kind of “boring” makeup staples, I feel like this box isn’t that exciting for me. Oh well! Hopefully next month’s will knock it out of the park.

What a letdown. I find this box boring. To me Beauty Heroes is so much better value. Now I just need to decide whether just get June’s BH box or go in for 3 months. Leaning towards just June box as I wasn’t interested in the previous 2 months. Decisions, decisions.

Jenny! That free + true feeling! I have never felt anything so amazing! I cannot even begin to describe it!
Lydea
I wasn’t too excited about BH last month when it was announced, but once I received it…I am obsessed! I can’t wait to shower and use the oil every day! Often the BH items I am least excited about are the ones I end up ordering again.

It’s the same with me and Beauty Heroes! I was so underwhelmed when they announced free +true, and that’s probably my favorite box of the year! I’ve actually really loved everything from BH this year, the only product that didn’t work for me was the Mukti serum.

The vitamin C was in Beautyfix last month.

I LOVE the Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream and use it daily in the morning. The scent is fabulous. Love their eye masks, too. Not sure if I’ll splurge on the box, though.

I can’t help but think this box looks like a Beauty Fix box that costs $25. With that said, I got the Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream in a 1 oz size from Beauty Fix last year and it has really helped with my dark circles.

Alice
Agree. Me, too. It was full size in BeautyFix.

Lisa, thank you for the head’s up. I will try anything for dark circles so I am going to look for this cream. Also, this is a little off subject from sub boxes, but I was watching YouTube the other day and it suggested a video for me of Bebe Rexha showing her make-up routine for covering dark circles and it will BLOW YOUR MIND. Before she starts her under eyes are so dark it looks like she has 2 black eyes and when she is done it looks like pure porcelain. Just in case you want to check it out. 🙂

Hi Joy – NTOO,
Thanks for the Bebe Rexha recommendation. What a great tutorial! She’s very engaging and gives great directions. A must-see for anyone still grappling with dark circles. I don’t even watch makeup tutorials normally. Nor do I have dark circles! But your enthusiasm had me thinking ‘I gotta see this!’ Thanks! Time well-spent.

I thought the same thing! This is a great brand with great value but for some reason bc this brand is in other kinds of boxes I don’t want this box!
Anyone see June Petit Vour spoilers Or get their box yet?
