You can go make your choices now and pick your add ons. I liked that you could see all the choice options for all 3 categories at once as well as the 2 items Ipsy chose for you. I was a little disappointed with my selection of choices but overall I’m really happy with what I’m getting.
I chose:

Ciate Watermelon Pressed Translucent Powder- super excited for this! I was really hoping it would be one of my choices.

Goldfaden MD Scrub- really excited for this as well! I was hoping this would be one of my choices too

INN Beauty Lip Oil- I had hoped I’d have the eyeshadow palette as an option but I’ve wanted to try this for a while so I’m happy with it

Ipsys Choices for me:

Huda Demi Matte Liquid Lipstick in Feminist- this looks brown in Ipsys pic but when I looked up swatches online it’s actually a gorgeous nudge pink shade. I’m really excited to try it after seeing the swatches even though lipstick is pointless right now because of masks.

Beauty For Real Eyeshadow Stick Duo- the shades are both very neutral and very similar. I rarely use eyeshadow sticks and I have many from Ipsy and other beauty subs. I also tend to wear bold eyeshadow shades. Considering I’m happy with everything else in my Bag I’m not really upset about this one dud. I’ll see if I can use them as eyeliner

Add on:

$18 Sunday Riley Luna Oil- I skipped July and the Luna Oil was the one thing I had wanted so I had to grab it when I saw it in add ons! I already use it and it’s a HG product for me so I’m excited to get a full size bottle for so cheap!

I have to laugh when I read comments about people just having to try the ipsy plus just because they are “doing something new” I dont know what it is but I read these over and over and it makes me giggle for some reason….

No I think they said each tier has their own stock of choices and add ons so that even though plus members get first access to add ons they aren’t taking from others .

Ugh, glad I looked up the Huda lip cream, it’s got menthol which means I can’t use it 🙁 at least that helps my choice.

I skipped June and July, they just didn’t appeal to me and I thought I wld save the $25. I’m going to have August a try because I want to try a few of the spoilers, I have a feeling I will be spending more for add on’s then the actual bag lol

I skipped July but I’m definitely getting my GBP for August. I’m excited to try out the 3 choices thing and see if it ends up being as amazing as I’m hoping it will be. I really hope I can pick the Ciate Watermelon Translucent Powder, the Goldfaden MD Scrub and the Estate Cosmetics Palette. I’m sure I wont be able to pick all 3 though. I cant wait until the 1st to see how this all pans out

I really don’t understand why people complain so much about ipsy, it’s $25 a month which is the price of ONE product in the bag of 5 items. It’s such a good deal. Idk what you expect for that kind of price. I love the excitement of getting new stuff every month even if it’s “a bust”month. It’s fun and worth the money and I am broke! I haven’t had to buy makeup in over a year. That alone makes it worth it. I highly recommend it to all my friends. I’m excited to try the new personalization. The bags seem great for storage and travel. Excited to see how they decorate them each month. That’s Just my two cents. 💜

I agree. I have gotten some great products for a tiny fraction of their cost. I got my May bag at the end of the month. But it happens. It’s still my favorite box to get in the mail.

I contacted Ipsy over the weekend, asking where my bag is is. I just got notice my bag is finally on its way complete with tracking. IMO Twitter is the quickest way to contact them. I hope everyone gets their bags soon and has a great experience on August 1st. ❤❤❤

I want the add ons more than the choices lol welp looks like I will be anxiously waiting for it to hit tomorrow so I can be one of the first before they sell out.Aside from a lot of repeats I do see a couple things I wouldn’t mind getting plus I’m kind of anxious to see how this “ Ultra Personalization “ works. I read about it on the app but I’m still like huh? Lol I want the Ciate Watermelon Powder 😩 Any Murad, & Any Sunday Riley. Should be fun I’m going to keep a positive attitude about it until I actually see how it goes tomorrow. Hope everyone gets what they want. 🥰

I was a sucker and reactivated my account becuase I am curious about picking 3 products. Although this is probably a waste of $25+tax as I have not worn makeup since pandemic began.

There are some good skin care items and even a hair item so you never know. You may be able to choose products that aren’t makeup.

Yikes don’t use coffee as facial exfoliant you will just tear up your face

I received a sample of this cleanser at some point (can’t remember if it was in Ipsy or Birchbox), and it’s much gentler than you might expect–and there’s not enough coffee in it to make a mess. 🙂

Six more mail delivery days in July. Sure would be nice if Pitney Bowes ever got off their seats and handed my July box to the USPS. Or admit the truth (“we trashed it and blamed the pandemic”) and let me mourn the loss of that beautiful and last Plus bag I’ll never receive.

I’m glad that Ipsy just released these spoilers in time for me to skip next month. There will be no FOMO because these spoilers are weak.

In the picture at the top you can see quality products like Too Faced Mascara, Glossier and a nice highlighter pencil.

The spoilers are the same products that we’ve been getting every month: HUDA, Wander, Murad, Glam Glow.

In Ipsy ads, they show products from Sol Janeiro, Tarte, Too Faced, Glow Recipe, Nars, Smashbox, Violet Voss, etc.

Until Ipsy has some legit spoilers, I’m out. This ultra personalization doesn’t matter if the products we’re picking from are repeats, influencers brands like HUDA or brands I see at TJ Maxx.

The header photo is just an old photo. Ipsy did send out the Too Faced mascara, Benefit pencil, & Glossier balm in past boxes/bags.

Marion Exactly! These products have ALL been in past boxes. I like a lot of the “repeat” brands and have yet to get a repeat item in the over 3 years I’ve gotten Ipsy. I swear people will complain no matter what’s in the boxes.

I can appreciate this! I’ll admit to liking some of those brands that Ipsy’s constantly pushing, but I agree that it becomes mundane and predictable when they do that. It certainly does remove some of the excitement when you see the same products that have already been in many Glam Bags of the past year. I’ve been lucky and haven’t received repeats, but I agree and would like to see some more of the brands on their advertising photos, or even just other brands in general. There’s enough that I haven’t tried and would like to try for me to stick with it this month, but I will say it’s a miracle I haven’t received repeats these past few months because in some of them there were only 6-8 products that I hadn’t already received once before.💁

CIATÉ LONDON Watermelon Translucent Powder must be a typo. They have only coconut setting powder and it’s loose and not in a compact. The only thing I can think that it would be is one of their highlighters.

The ciate London is a watermelon setting powder, it’s new. I’m going to pick that If it’s not grouped in with the bailey palette most likely it will be knowing my luck!

Nicole, the first product you pick will lock you into one of several bags that contain this product. That determines what your second and third choices will pop up as. The bags are in pre-made combinations. A human does not package each one separately from a printout of what each subscriber picked.

Nicole, I think she means she’d choose the Bailey palette over the Ciate powder if they’re in the same group of 4. It appears that you’ll be able to pick 1 product from each of 3 groups of at least 4 choices.

Awh! Is that how they are doing it? Do you actually have to pick a product grouping, rather than just straight up picking the 3 you really want? That would be really disappointing.

So what are the chances that you’ll be able to choose the Complex Culture brush AND the Ciate powder? Those are the only things I’m really interested in. I like the scrub, but I hate that it is in a tub.

I also want to know how Ultimate and Plus will work with each other now? Like if I choose something they planned for my Ultimate, do I get two? Will they change my Ultimate to adjust? Will my choices be more limited because I have both? Also it sucks that add-ons will be available the day before the ultimate & base reveal as there is a chance that you’ll purchase what you’re already getting.

I think I need to pause Ultimate (and maybe plus too) to see how it all shakes out.

EXACTLY! I asked a couple of these questions on the choice posts because IPSY hasn’t yet clarified how these overlaps might work. I’ve been with Ipsy 2 years now, all 3 tiers (though I skip 1-2 tiers each month) and I’ve never gotten a repeat until this month. I wonder how they will keep it all straight.

Does anyone know if the bag design will still change? I really hope so, but kinda doubt tbh. I think they’re trying to make us choose between the regular glam bag and the ultimate lol.

I absolutely love that brand! I tried some of their caffeine sheet masks and they were phenomenal! They are expensive $20/ea and one of the few I actually think are worth it. I don’t normally like receiving cleansers because I use a $4 one that blows most others away, but I’d love to try this one!

I really want either the Estate palette or the Murad SPF moisturizer. If I can get either of those, I’ll be happy. If I can get both, that would be great. If I can get both of those AND the Ciate watermelon powder, that would be excellent! I even went to my beauty profile on ipsy to ‘like’ the Ciate brand, even though it may be too late. 😂

I’m also hoping there are more shade options for the Laura Geller liner + the Huda lipstick.

Even the returning zombie items are ones that I’d be OK with getting. I just got a brow powder for the first time in my life, & I’m trying the R+Co clear brow gel from Bombay & Cedar with it, so I wouldn’t mind having another brand to compare it to. I also haven’t tried the Goldfaden scrub yet, & I like that brand.

I know Ipsy does tend to make its products brighter & more color saturated in their photos, so it can be hard to tell the true colors of a product, but it looks to me like one of the shades of lipstick in that Huda bundle is a more pinky color, vs the two apricot-nude shades that have been spoiled. 🤞

So… I was thinking (and yes, that hurts my head… lol) some of these add-ons were choice options for regular GB. But other than what I chose for GB, I won’t know what will be in my GB when add-ons open for GBP, right? That’s gonna kinda suck, to potentially grab an add-on for which I end up getting a duplicate as part of my GB. I mean, I guess I could wait, but then I run the risk of stuff going out of stock. Or just plan to get any $3 add-ons with my GB? Hmmmm….

I think it said somewhere that each tier would have their own batch of add ons so no one would have fear of them running out. So, you should be able to wait until the 2nd.

I just cannot be excited about the choices, because my July bag with adds on has not shipped. CS is absolutely useless. They are giving me standard copy and paste reply about COVID and shipping in batches. After multiple demands they finally provided tracking number, which is useless as well because box never made it to the shipping partner. I just afraid to give Ipsy any more money because “per our policy we do not provide refund”. I probably be on the safe side and will skip August.

I’ve never had a problem receiving my box but I have had a few missing add ons and they refunded the $immediately to my account on both occasions. The second time it happened they gave me 600 additional points for the add on store as well. If they can do it for add ons they should do it for a box too but if not then at the very least they need to get you another box sent out before charging you for a the new month’s box. Make sure you tell them that you’re planning on canceling Aug box because of the situation.

I haven’t received my yet either. My bag was shipped July 3. It went to NC, NJ and now in Atlanta, GA. Where its been for 2 days. I’m live in north FL. Not that far from GA. I don’t know why I haven’t received it yet.

Exact same thing is happening to me. They shipped through Pitney Bowes and I’ve had nothing but problems with everything they’ve handled of mine. My bag sat in Indiana for a full and literal week. Then it was rescanned in IN, now nothing again for a couple days, except it says receiving info sent to some other state that is waaaaay past my state. I got my ultimate bag super early but idk what’s going on with GBP. This shipping is really beyond aggravating though!!

I’ve been waiting on my Plus and Ultimate since the 7th. I’ve received no concrete help from CS. I’ve been passed around through five different CS reps. The fifth one, yesterday, said she was going to ‘personally’ investigate my bags. Sure you will… No communication today. I’ve got the original tracking for both, it shows that one went to NJ and one to IN…both shipped from NC. As far as I know, they’re still in those respective states, I live on the Gulf Coast of MS. Why the hell would they go north when they usually go thro processing Mobile, AL prior to my delivery?! I’m not very pleased with Ipsy this month, to say the least.

This exact same thing happened to me. They said they shipped out by bag and add on’s on the 15th but on the 22nd it still said it was en route to the distribution center. I sent an email to support to figure out what the deal was and they asked for my address to send out a replacement. They actually responded to my email within 4 hours and were really nice about it. No update since then if the replacement has been shipped but I’ll follow up if not. Their customer service is a lot better and more responsive than Boxy in my opinion.

I reach out to them via DM on Twitter and they are so nice and helpful. They work on a solution and you speak with the same person throughout. They get with you quickly as well. If you use Twitter it’s a good option. I’ve also used Twitter to reach out to Ulta when I’ve received a broken product. They looked at a photo of it then got a replacement for me immediately. It’s so much easier than waiting on email responses.

The same thing is happening to me!!! And I have add ons. The Sunday Riley which I’ve been so excited for. They told me to give it 14 days and have me point. 😞 I even received my second chance add ons but nnnoooo bag.
