Is this a joke? These are 2 for $1 at the dollar tree. Throw the whole company away if this is the anticipated spoiler.

Medusa’s Makeup can no longer claim to be a cruelty free company. It is now promoting Wet n Wild, which will be subject to torturing animals if told to: Wet n Wild is therefore no longer a cruelty free company. Why can’t Medusa’s Makeup own up to the fact that they made a heinous error in promoting Wet n Wild as part of their (formerly) cruelty free subscription box?
I just got a DM claiming that they are a “We’re a small women owned business”…and that is supposed to excuse their hypocritical, poor judgement?
I really dislike the whole “cancel culture”, but I have finally found a company that deserves this treatment.
Yes, I am angry and disappointed. But there is no such thing as “semi-cruelty-free”.

This is my second box from Medusa. I’m still waiting for my first box to get here. Very disappointed in this spoiler. Will probably cancel before I get charged for another box.

Wow! I do not want Wet n Wild in any box. I used to think that this was a fantastic box…but this is a surprising low to MM. This makes me think that the MM subscription is on its deathbed. So sad.

Wait for real?!? I thought this box was specific brands only. If I wanted that eyeshadow I could get it at the dollar store

Yes, I thought I’d seen Wet N Wild at the Dollar Store, but wasn’t 100% sure enough to say it. LOL

🤭Looks like a very ruff start 😬

This is really disappointing. Wet n’ Wild is no longer cruelty-free, which is one of the appeals of this box (IMO).

Here is Medusa’s Makeup’s response:
“Hello Rosemary, The company wet n wild has expanded sales of its products to China but remains cruelty-free. Its products have not been tested on animals there, and it has worked with PETA to take the additional steps required to ensure that no tests on animals will be conducted for its products in the future. This info is available on peta.org
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)
peta.org”
Wow! It is not possible for any company to sell in the Chinese market without promising to test on animals whenever the Chinese government wants them to. I know that there are some companies that claim to be “Cruelty Free” even though they have signed this agreement to torture animals when they are told to.
Sorry. Medusa’s Makeup is a marketing gimmick. They don’t care about what companies do to innocent animals. For more information about how China still expects companies to torture animals for no reason: https://www.peta.org/blog/cosmetics-regs-china-animal-tests/

How are they not cruelty-free? The product above has the bunny symbol, and it’s even on their website.

They sell in China. Chinese law requires animal testing on products sold in China. (Cruelty free makeup can be MADE in China, as long as they ship it out & don’t sell it there.)

There was controversy about this, because Wet & Wild makes such a big deal about being cruelty free, & basically tried to hide the fact that they sell in China. Wet n Wild has said that there’s a law that “non special use cosmetics” manufactured in China can be sold in China without animal testing, so that’s what they did.

So, it’s kind of a matter of “your mileage may vary” and whether or not you trust that a company does what they say they do (even after they’ve tried keeping stuff on the downlow).
