Nomadik "On the Water" Review

There is a small trifold pamphlet that goes over the three items included in this month's box as well as Nomadik tips, the Nomadik challenge, and some brand discounts.

ALOHA Collection Splash-Proof Pouch - Estimated Value $32.00 (other designs in the same size are this price)

Will and I go fishing more often than we go camping or to the beach, and water-resistant pouches like this are really handy anytime you are near a body of water where things need to stay dry. This pouch is made of coated Tyvek which is soft and flexible. I like the simple and clean blue-and-white design that reminds me of a nautical flag.

Earth-Pak Waterproof Phone Case - Retail Value $7.99

My phone falling into the lake is legit one of my nightmares. Will is even worse with his phones: his screen is always cracked from dropping it! This handy case is lightweight, waterproof, AND you can still use your phone when it is inside. Genius. I am going to end up ordering a second one of these so we both have one. They are super inexpensive, too!

YumButter Keto Nut Butter - Buy 4 pouches for $29.99

I was skeptical of this pouch at first, because it seemed to stay really liquidy no matter how much I kneaded the pouch. Don't let that dissuade you from trying this yummy treat! It is so good! It is nutty and has just a little sweetness, just a little salt, and some coconut, too. This is an ideal on the go treat if you are avoiding carbs but want a savory energy boost.

All Good SPF 50 Sunscreen Butter - Retail Value $9.99

This is like legit old-school sunscreen that has a little bit of that white chalky finish even though it is supposed to rub on clear. It also has SPF 50 and lasts for up to 80 minutes in the water, which is impressive. It is also reef-safe, non-nano, gluten-free, and organic. While this wouldn't be my daily go-to, this is a great formula for those longer fishing trips where performance tops what it might look on my face.

Carson Floating Wrist Strap - Retail Value $7.99

Our final item is a very handy wrist strap that you can attach to anything you wouldn't want to fall into the bottom of the ocean or lake. For me, that is my keys, because if you have ever dropped your keys into a lake, you know the rest of your day (or week) is close to ruined.

Verdict: This month's Nomadik box was pretty cool! As someone who finds herself on the water pretty often in the summer and fall, all of these items are super useful. I especially loved the phone case and wrist pouch, though everything in here was solid. Value-wise, I am guesstimating around $65 which is good for the cost of the box. This is generally never a jaw-dropping value sort of box, but rather a decent value with useful things.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Your first box will be the Welcome box. More from Nomadik:

Just pick your plan, sign up, and fill out your profile. A themed adventure box will arrive on your doorstep, get ready to plan your next trip! We re-bill on the 5th, normally the cut-off date is the 14th (if you order before that you get the box that month, if not you get it the next month). We ship on the 24th each month (except December, we ship on the 20th).

Value Breakdown: At $37.94 ($32.95 + $4.99 to PA) for this box, each of the 5 items has an average cost of $7.59.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I’m not an outdoor type of person at all but I love reading the reviews for this box. I think all the products they send are pretty useful, whether or not you enjoy going outside

Holy cow! What makes that pouch worth $32??

I wondered the same thing! Especially since it looks about the size of a “large” coin purse. I didn’t see measurements, but it didn’t look like you could put much in there.

I went on the website and there’s a pic of these pouches with a model for scale. It’d say it looks maybe a little larger than an Ipsy plus bag? Not enough to store much but maybe you can store a rolled up swim suit in there
