You're All Kinds of Wonderful by Nancy Tillman - Retail Value $17.99 (found here for $10.67)
I just love this book! I am already a fan of this author and was so excited to see such a sweet book from her. Not only are the pictures full of diverse characters and critters, but these illustrations are beautiful and magical. This book has such a sweet message about how everyone has special traits inside them but you just have to find them, and sometimes it even takes practice. The wording is poetic and filled with rhymes that will make this one of those books that your child will want to read over and over again. You'll enjoy it too as it lets your children know how special all of their differences make them.

The Story Book Night by Helen Docherty - Retail Value $17.99 (found here for $14.63)
This next book is also filled with beautiful illustrations but stylistically it is so different. This one features rhyming text that flows quickly and is easy to read. Leo the knight is told he must fight dragons, but all he wants to do is read. While he encounters some pretty scary creatures, he uses his knowledge and books to help him and still manages to become the hero. This story had a good message, too!
Verdict: I was happy with this month's Bookroo picture book selections. They were two very different styles but filled with sweet messages and wonderful illustrations. The total retail value of our books comes to $35.98 which is pretty good for a $24.94 ($19.95 + $4.99 shipping)/month box. With sale prices, we are just a bit over that at $25.30, but I love that these books are vetted for you and come straight to your door wrapped up so beautifully!
