Why I love it: This has been a weird, dark summer-- so why not lighten it up a bit by putting on a vibrant, bright, fun dress? This dress is summertime fun in dress form. It reminds me of a print off of a beach towel or swimsuit that could have been seen in a happening '60s Frankie & Annette beach movie. It makes my retro style loving heart skip a beat, I tell ya! Not only is this piece absolutely uplifting and mood changing, but it also fits like a dream! I knew I had to have it, especially since I got it on sale!

Why I love it: I can’t stop reaching for this oversized cardigan! It is so soft and heavy and warm - I just keep bundling myself up in it! I know that it’s going to be a staple for me all fall and winter long. The pattern is really fun, but the black and white tones it down a bit. The thick, tight knit is super soft and stretchy so I think it will work well as a coat, too. I can’t believe I snagged this luxe cardigan for just $17.18!

Why I love it: I’m so inspired by this pin; also, it looks fabulous on a distressed denim jacket. There are chains hanging from the bottom of the pin that can be worn disconnected as a way to symbolize breaking through chains or hardships in life. I love anything uplifting that puts positive vibes into the world and has a good message behind it, especially now. So much has happened in the last few months and I have no more chill for negativity. This pin is a great reminder of everything I have overcome as a WOC to be who and where I am today — that makes this little $10 pin priceless to me.

Why I love it: I was not expecting to love this dress as much as I do, but it turns out it's so effortless to wear, with the added bonus of looking and feeling pulled-together. I've been finding that amid the monotony of having nowhere to go all summer while my family continues to lay low, outfits that merge ease with style give me a sense of "arriving" for my day. This dress is great for that, and it'll also be a go-to when social life picks up again!

I can't wait to pair this with a cute outfit when we are able to leave the house again!
