The Cult Beauty calendar did ship to the United States last year. Initially they said it wouldn’t, but at the last moment they changed course and shipped here.

How were you able to get the cult beauty calendar last year. Do you live in Europe bc it didn’t ship to the USA last year.

I was able to get the Cult Beauty calendar last year. I just loved what they did with Christmas Day. When I heard about that I became very motivated to get it. I also got one of the lucky calendars that had an extra gift card tucked inside. If you knew me you would know how shocking this was as I never win anything that involves luck (guess I can’t say that anymore!)
I will also share any news I find about release dates and other info although I doubt it will be anything new to you. You are amazing, I suspect you are a reporter or researcher in real life. If you aren’t, you should be! 😉

I think you’re right! Good eye! Not only for the obvious reasons you cited (comparing it to the Tata Harper), but also the bottle for the .5oz looks different than what is pictured above. I should have known it was too good to be true, lol. I’ll still try to get it nonetheless, but I appreciate you pointing it out! 🙂

Do you think the Guerlain oil really is 0.5oz… it looks to me like the 0.16 size sample and in the photo the oil is smaller than the tata 0.33oz…

I’m a fan of hers also. Although one this Luna you should mention is any advent calenders that go live, we need to buy QUICKLY if we want USPS to get them here by December, or these will be new years calenders for the USA lol (mail people don’t hate me I know it’s not your fault )

Correction… I’ve never gotten the Cult Beauty or Selfridges calendars. I tried to get the Cult Beauty calendar last year, but it sold out super fast (within two hours), and I JUST missed it… it went on sale at 2am PST (I knew the date, but not time it was going on sale), I checked in on it at 4am PST, saw it was sold out, and later read that it sold out in just under two hours. Lame!! 🙁 The good thing is is that Cult Beauty said they’d create a lot more calendars this year now that they know the demand for it. Woo-hoo! And, I don’t think I’ve ever noticed the Selfridges calendar before, so I’ll have to see if it ships to the U.S. when it goes live. 🙂

The advent calendars I’m keeping a close eye on are: Liberty, Space NK, Net-a-Porter, Harrods, Lookfantastic, Cult Beauty, Skinstore (although I don’t think they did one last year despite doing one in previous years), Beauty Expert, Selfridges (although I’m not sure if they ship to the U.S.), and Fortnum & Mason (they’re currently saying they’re only shipping within Europe, but they’ve shipped to the U.S. in the past few years, so I’m going to keep an eye out in case they do a U.S. version 🙂 ). I feel like there may be one or two more I’m forgetting. I’ll update if I remember. 🙂 I’ll also be keeping an eye out for the Mankind & Mr. Porter calendars, but to gift.

There are other calendars I’ll check into, but the ones I listed are the ones I really want and have gotten in the past and really enjoyed. Basically, I’m a sucker for the multi-brand higher end advent calendars. They all pretty much have the same “feel” to them because of their curations, but what I like is that despite them sharing some brands, the products are basically always different (at most, there may be a 2 or 3 item overlap between two different boxes (but not necessarily the same boxes)).

It’ll be fun to see what will be in all of the calendars (not just the ones I listed), and especially to see what companies will be launching a calendar for the first time! 🙂

Lol! 😀 I think we have better advent calendar sleuths on MSA than me (*cough* Abby!! *cough* 🙂 ). I’ve only heard a few things about some U.K. calendars, but not too much on U.S. calendars.

For the U.S., Lookfantastic currently has their sign up list open to be notified of when their advent calendar will be available. I sent MSA the link yesterday, so hopefully they’ll post it soon. 🙂

On the U.K. front I’ve seen spoilers for the Fortnum & Mason beauty calendar (which is now on pre-sale) and the Liberty calendar. I’m sooo sad, because I was going to pre-order the F&M calendar, but it looks like it’s only shipping within Europe this year. Wah! I’ve gotten it the past two years, and it was probably my most favorite calendar in terms of discovery since they included a number of brands or products I’d never heard of before but still had a nice luxe feeling to them. Plus, the calendar itself is sooo beautiful and quite decorative & unique looking compared to other calendars.

It’ll be fun (at least for me, lol) to see the advent calendar spoilers start to post soon!
