Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson, which includes a plus size line of their fashionable workout gear! You can shop their line in two different ways—either you can shop through their regular store or sign up as a VIP member. The VIP Membership works like this:
- Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
- Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
- Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.
Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

Two things about me you may not know: 1.) I love red and pink items. That might explain why I am such a sucker for Valentine's Day (even when I was single I would get geeked to see Valentine's Day decorations in stores!) and 2.) I am a fiend for all animal prints. Mainly leopard, cheetah, and tiger, but snake print is becoming a favorite as well! This all being said, it is safe to say that I placed this outfit in my checkout cart quicker than you could say PRONTO!
I adore the colors and the print, but sadly I am not a fan of the style/design of this particular sports bra. I have a wide assortment of Fabletics sports bras since I started reviewing this membership service. I have come to find I prefer sports bras like the high impact style or one that has a thicker band in the back. My back is broad and I just prefer a thicker band for support. I have been wondering if a 4x would have been a possibly better option. Ultimately, I don't think it would have been because a larger size would not have ensured a thicker/higher band. Though this style is not my favorite of the bunch, I do feel it gives decent support and coverage in the front. You live and you learn, right?

I might have been "eh" about the sports bra in this set, but the leggings are a whole other story-- I am in love! The print and fit are perfection and completely on point! I appreciate how high-waisted these leggings are, too. The compression fabric makes me feel secure and held in well; I won't have to worry about continuously pulling my pants up while working out. Not only will these be wonderful for my evening strolls, but I can foresee wearing these leggings while working from the comfort of my home and going on my rare trip to the grocery store. If you are doing air travel for your job, I must suggest their leggings for that as well.
Verdict: Well, Fabletics definitely delivered on the bright, flashy designs that my heart craves! This pink and red python activewear set certainly fits the bill! The fit on the sports bra wasn't my favorite, but as always the leggings were phenomenal with their high waist and fantastic fit!
I brought up in my June review how appreciative I am that Fabletics offers their pieces in up to a 4x now, but that I also longed to see more plus size representation. The ad brochure they sent me in this month's box was awesome because it shows straight AND plus size models. This is a great advancement in the right direction, but I truly hope to see them include women in their ads that are in the 3x/4x sizes as well. I am friends with quite a few influencers/bloggers that are brand ambassadors for Fabletics and are my size and larger. I would love to see them included in their advertisements and on their site to be even more inclusive! Like I have said in the past: representation is important. It speaks volumes to their existing and potential customers to see people like themselves wearing their gear as well! I do also hope they expand their sizing even further to a 5x or 6x to compete with brands like Torrid and Lane Bryant. Bodacious babes are active and enjoy doing things like yoga, hiking, jogging, etc, and it would be great to have even more options out there!
I also appreciate Fabletics showing their appreciation to existing customers by offering discounts and sales throughout the year. I would purchase their products due to how well they are made, but if there are points to accrue or additional discounts and promos-- I am all for a sale and saving some money (especially during a pandemic)!
