August 2020 Pet Treater Dog Pack Review
This shipment from Pet Treater included 4 items: a toy, a gourmet cookie, a bag of treats, and a bandana.
This month's box came with some literature on the featured products along with some coupons, yay! Look how cute this month’s “Pick of the Litter” is! Don't forget to email photos of your dog to enter to win a free item in your next month's box.
Back 2 School Bandana for Pet Treater
What a fun bandana this month! I love the bold text and the cute drawings in the background that looks like chalk on a chalkboard. My oldest is going back to school three days a week so he thought it was so fun that Rufus got to dress up for back to school season! Rufus wasn't in our family photo on Fox's first day of school but you can bet he had the bandana on that day! As has been the trend lately, the quality of the fabric is great, super soft with no loose threads.
Peanut Butter Crunch BT’s Bake Shop All Natural Gourmet Cookie, 1.25 oz
I really missed these gourmet cookies and was so excited to see one again this month! The flavor is peanut butter crunch, which I don't think we have received before. It is made with flour, steel cut oat flour, water, chicken broth, natural peanut butter, honey, vegetable oil, and eggs. I love the front icing of the cookie with the animals riding on the school bus. Rufus gobbled this cookie down in seconds, I think he missed them too!
Mega Mashers Rubber-Strengthened Dog Toys
This toy is great for bigger dogs because they are so durable! They act as a chew toy or something bouncy to play fetch with. Rufus doesn't play a ton with toys anymore, but we got a few rounds of tossing this up and he would catch it. It is super bouncy believe it or not! This is perfect to take with us on walks as well since he can hold it in his mouth pretty easily to keep him entertained.
Beef Stew Sausage Bites by Loving Pets, 6 oz.
I love treats like this for Rufus because they are grainless and they pack a ton of flavor! Plus, the bag is resealable so we can keep these safely in our pantry to use over and over again. There are a ton in the bag as well so we will have these for a while! Rufus is obsessed with them which is great for us because we can use them to get him to go outside or to take a bath (two things he does not enjoy doing in his later years). These treats are made with 100% real beef, carrots, and peas since this is the beef stew recipe flavor!
Verdict: This month's box was a hit, plus gourmet cookies were back! The peanut butter crunch cookie was Rufus's favorite followed by those yummy beef stew treats. I love being able to treat Rufus to a delicious snack, and having treat bags around for when we need them makes my hectic life a lot easier. The mega masher wasn't a huge hit, but Rufus doesn't really play with toys that much anymore (sad). My kids got a kick out of it though trying to toss it up to see if Rufus would jump for it, and he did a few times! The back to school bandana was the perfect item that really made my son happy and was great to have Rufus in on Fox's first day of school! You really can't beat a dog box delivered right to you to treat that extra special furry friend that doesn't get nearly enough attention anymore!
This month I received 4 items. I couldn’t find many of the exact items online, so just by dividing it out, each item would cost about $3.75. At $15 a month with free shipping, this box is such a great value and overall experience, especially since I can expect high quality treats for him each month without having to leave my house!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’ll receive a collection of pet-approved favorites as a welcome pack. After that, your pet will receive the same monthly shipment as other subscribers. Items vary from shipment to shipment, so you’re not guaranteed the same items as seen here. Standard orders generally ship around the 10th of each month. If you’ve added special requests to your order (allergies, no plush, tough toys, etc.), this may add additional processing and packing times due to the extra labor involved.
