Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey of your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when you'd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)
My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!
FYI, COVID-19 Updates: To learn more about Stitch Fix's extended return window, any potential fulfillment delays, and more, read all of their service-related updates here.

Stitch Fix for Women August 2020 Review
This is my invoice which provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items. My total came to $250.00, but with the 25% off (which they take off BEFORE deducting the $20!) and the $20 credit, my total drops down to $167.50. That’s a savings of $82.50 on these items. Stitch Fix also includes a prepaid USPS envelope for you to send back any returns or exchanges which makes it so easy and hassle-free!
Your stylist will also include a style sheet with some tips on how to wear the pieces in your Fix. I actually thought my stylist last month did a great job, so it was a bit of a surprise to see that I had another new stylist this month. Kristie does reference how she included some pieces that were inspired by my Pinterest board, so I think we're off to a promising start!
Marissa Tote by Emperia- Cost to Keep $64.00
First up we have this fabulous bag that is a beautiful rich brown with varying tones to make this vegan tote mimic real leather. It's accented by brass hardware and a fun black-and-white striped fabric on the inside. It also has a removable tassel detail on the shoulder straps and a removable crossbody strap. There is a zippered pocket on the outside and then a partially open zippered pocket for the main compartment that opens up to three different sections. The inner section has another zipper and the outside sections feature a double open pocket on one side and a zippered pocket on the other making this a great bag for organizing! While I love this bag, I have one that is very similar, although I wish I had seen this one first because I think I prefer it to the one I already own! If it was a different color, this probably would have been a keeper!
Here is the bag worn both ways. It's a great size!
Alvena Split-Neck Blouse by Fun2Fun, Size M - Cost to Keep $40.00
This top is one that I have pinned on my Pinterest board. I had asked for some transitional pieces now that we are heading into fall (can you believe it?) and I think this top is perfect for that! I love the beautiful teal-green color and the pops of orange and I could see myself pairing it with jeggings and a sweater to stay warm. The only thing I didn't like was how sheer it is meaning I'd have to wear a tank top underneath. Normally that isn't an issue, but this top was a bit tight at the bust for me so I'd probably have to size up to wear it comfortably.
Lillian V-Neck Blouse by Fun2Fun, Size M - Cost to Keep $40.00
This next top is very similar to the first and from the same brand, although this pattern is a bit more subtle and there aren't any pleats at the neckline. I love the cute feather print with just a hint of pink to it. Again, the fact that this one was so sheer was kind of a bummer to me, but it's so cute and a white cami will work well under it.
Denver Front Twist Brushed Knit Top by Market & Spruce, Size M - Cost to Keep $38.00
This top was so soft and cozy! I think it's another great transitional piece since the sleeves aren't full length and the colors are great, too. I feel like I've tried a shirt similar to this one and while previously the placement of where the colors changed really bothered me, but this time, I like it! Maybe because the colors are different or maybe the fit of this one is better? I don't think it looks too odd and it's really comfortable! It looks like this is a top that I had pinned although in a different color.
Siana Stitch Detailed Hooded Cardigan by Fate, Size M - Cost to Keep $68.00
This sweater was based on one that I had pinned and while I really love the vibe of this sweater and dig the colors and fun stripes, it's not quite the look I was going for. I wanted a longer sweater and this ended up being a bit shorter on me. It is made from acrylic and nylon and it has just one little hook and eye closure at the top just below the hood. While I probably could get comfortable with the style of this one, it ended up being pretty itchy.
I was going for the whole cozy, bundled up vibe, but I don't think this look is really working for me!
The Verdict: While this was the first time having this stylist, I think she really nailed my style! I love that she found me several looks based on my Pinterest board and I thought she did a fantastic job of including pieces that will transition well from the end of summer into fall. While I can't believe that summer is almost over, I am ready to dive into Stitch Fix's fall inventory next month and see what great finds my stylist sends me! Hopefully, I will get the same stylist (you can request them when you check out of your Fix, although it seems that it's not a guarantee) and I can enjoy some more great styles that I get to test out in the comfort of my own home.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this Fix if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its Fixes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!
Value Breakdown: This styling service costs $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $250.00. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if I keep all 5 items, then I get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee for the Fix is applied to the purchase no matter how many items you keep, and in this case, it would bring the total down to $167.50. That’s a discount of around 33% for these items.
