Create Your Own Tarte Beauty Box – Two Days Only!

Mine arrived this morning (yes, on Sunday). I no longer get ipsy or boxycharm so I am excited about makeup right now. I have tons of mascara but none waterproof so I chose that. My mascara runs with wearing glasses and a mask. I also chose a waterproof concealer stick. I chose the eye/cheek palette and it’s too dark for me. Dang, I usually pick all items perfect for my skin tone. I love the maracuja juicy lip. I chose “holiday spritz” color and it’s a nice neutral. The sparkly half-moon bag is pink and pretty. It is small, however. Overall I’m happy with my bag.

I got notice this morning that my kit has shipped – that was pretty fast!

I’ve always skipped these bags before because there were never products in every category that I wanted…but this time there were! Got a nice mix of stuff I’ve been wanting to try, and stuff I already know and love.

First sign that I have a problem is that I have four of the makeup bags from previous times I’ve bought this. I was tempted to get another Flamingo bag, my favorite, but got the rose gold instead. The gold rush is a gorgeous bag too! Yes I am guilty of having unopened foundation and eye palettes from my previous create-a-bags, but I simply tell myself the items will be Christmas gifts and so I cave in!

I wanted too.. But passed. These are great though. I like making a bag then adding a few on sale items to my cart.

I’m broke though buying gifts for others as well as I need a new vacuum and want to snag the one at Wal-Mart sale soon. Also I picked something or two out from the upcoming Sephora 20% off sale that I have my heart set on. So it’s either that or Tarte.

I’ve been tempted in the past but never got one. Today I grabbed one. I am excited because they are all new items to me. I’ve only tried some tarte shadows, blush,, and shape tape before. So this will be fun. I hope I love it all. Fingers crossed 🤞 😁

I created a kit but I want to see what else pops up during the day. They have pressed powder in the foundation category, which I think might be new to this offer and I’d like to try it, but I am not too excited about the other stuff (except for the flamingo bag lol).

I am such a sucker. I always say I am not going to buy this, but every time it comes out I do. I have only used tarte eyeliner and foundation for years, so it is too good of a deal to pass up.

I have been counting the days ’til this sale because I need another double-take eyeliner and assumed it would be in the bag…NOPE, just the remix, and it’s on the same tier as the palettes which, to me, are half the value of the bag.

Meh. I swear, every time this sale comes up I build a bag and then never check out XD

Done! One minor hiccup where the system seemed to think I was in a different country using different currency (no idea how that came to be), but got that figured out/fixed and got great picks – I’m very happy with the available choices and what I selected (not that I needed any of it, but, well….).

I got Face Tape foundation, creaseless concealer, Pro to Go Palette, Gifted Mascara, Quick Dry matte lip paint, foundcealer brush and the classic and chic makeup bag. I wish we weren’t limited to one item per category as there were some sections I wanted two items from and some where I didn’t want anything. I needed a new concealer and foundation and mascara are items I will always get around to using eventually so the value is there. I also like the quick dry lip paint for wearing with masks. I may check back later in the day and make a second bag if the primers are still available.

I think I’m skipping this time, unless they put a really good palette in later. I don’t like Tarte mascaras, so being forced to pick one is mehhhh. It also drives up the average cost per item for me. Since I also don’t need or want a bag, I also don’t count that toward the value… so that becomes $63/5 items. Might still be a good deal for some people, but since I have a backup of items from sub boxes, I really, really don’t need anything.

This is wonderful.

I was really pleased with the choices this time. Added a couple of additional items to my order and am feeling like I got a good deal on things I’ll actually use.
