This month, Society Socks adopted a giraffe by making a donation to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation. I thought this was a cool way to make a difference. I much prefer it when Society Socks supports a cause rather than ask for social media tags or even when they offer a discount.

As for the socks, each month, subscribers receive two pairs of socks each featuring Society Socks' own designs. Usually, one pair will have a quirkier design and the other will be more abstract. All Society Socks pairs are made with a cotton, nylon, and spandex blend. There's no extra cushioning on the sole, so they're more like formal socks in that regard. The socks come up around 2/3 to my knee. I am 5'9".

Giraffe Socks, Estimated Value $12 (based on similar socks)

To tie in with their social cause this month, Society Socks included these great giraffe socks so that you can continue to raise awareness wherever you go. Beige giraffes with Navy spots and tan trees with coral leaves repeat on the dark blue sock. Orange accents complement at the top, heel, and toe. If you read my reviews, you know I love socks with a lot of details. So I'm a fan of these. Plus, who doesn't love giraffes? And if someone compliments your giraffe socks, you have a good reason to raise awareness that the animal is in decline. So spread the word with these cool socks.

Orange Bubble Socks, Estimated Value $12 (based on similar socks)

These bubbly socks are fun and warm. Powder blue, dark blue, and yellow circles seem randomly placed on an orange background. Navy blue accents are found at the top, heel, and toe. These are the first orange socks I've received. (I went through my previous reviews to check.) Just in time for Halloween. I'm not a big orange guy, but I think these are great. I'd probably wear them on a day I woke up in a good mood. If you see me wearing them, you'll know I'm having a good day.

Verdict: I thought it was really cool that Society Socks was able to incorporate this month's social cause into one of its pairs. I would say the giraffe is a widely adored creature and its preservation is something we can all agree on. Even without the tie-in, the giraffe socks are my favorite this month. But I am definitely feeling the orange pair as well. In my opinion, Society Socks has been on a roll recently. The past couple of months have been varied, but all on the mark. Well worth the money if you often wear formal socks and want them to have a little personality.

Value Breakdown: These two pairs of socks cost $19 with FREE shipping, meaning each pair is about $9.50. Most, if not all, of the sock subscribers receive can be purchased directly from Society Socks. Most are $12, but some are on sale for $9. However, there IS shipping if you do it this way. I did a quick check for Pennsylvania and it was $3 extra dollars. So you're saving $8 by having the subscription, which is an decent saved value. A subscription like this, in my opinion, is for people who were going to buy socks like this anyway. You have it delivered to your door, it's a little surprise, and you save some money. Otherwise, if you're concerned about getting socks you don't like, it may be best for you to purchase only the pairs you like directly from their site. You'll just have to pay a little more.
