Ive been lucky enough to get pretty good boxes most of the time but there is always times when I wish I had gotten another variation. I just looked up boxycharm items on offer up and messaged others if they were interested in trading and I have a few trading buddies now and I almost always get everything I prefer that way!! Just an even trade don’t try to price point items as we all paid the same price for our items! Sometimes I trade a higher priced item for a lowered price item and vice versa but if you did not want it you are not losing anything!! Or simply sell your item you will get $5 MINIMUM! And again you do not lose a thing! I use my additional items for birthdays or Christmas gifts! If you donate these are also great donations for those less fortunate!! As far as the palettes go I’m all for them!! I’m stoked for the Ofra face palette!! Yes there is a lot of eyeshadow palettes but now during covid I use them more then ever considering you can only see your eyes for the most part!!

I have so much makeup and skin care thanks to subscription beauty boxes, so I tried to downsize this month. I canceled my 2 Boxy premium Boxes and the BoxyLuxe after choice time last month. Then I saw the Ofra palette and quickly signed back up for December and thankfully not waitlisted so I can get my hands on January’s Premium box, haha! I love collecting Ofra highlighters thanks to Ipsy, and I have looked at Ofra’s website and eyed their palettes but never dropped the money on them. Of course I could have paid $70 to get a palette on their website, but I’ll opted for at least 2 more months of Premium with a guarantee that everyone gets the Ofra palette in their Premium box! I do like your suggestions on swapping with a few people. I’ve noticed lately that pop up seems to have a lot of the items that are in boxes that are a good price. That’s why I canceled my Luxe because I can create my own $50 box thanks to Boxy Pop-Up 🙂

I am super excited for that OFRA palette. Their eyeshadows and highlighters have always been on point as far as pigment and fallout and overall performance.
I still have the OFRA magnetic palette that came with six pans of shadow that Boxycharm sent us in July of 2016. It was my very first “fancy eyeshadow”…

I love Ofra face products especially their highlighters and would love to try their eyeshadow too I’m happy to be getting this, but last time they said EVERYBODY would get the same palette in a box they switched it up and added variations that were not as desirable.

IDK why Boxy keeps stuffing these face palettes in Premium. Am I that out of sync with other Premium subscribers? Do most people want a face palette (or two!) almost every month?

I totally agree and I’m afraid that now the ipsy bought them out it’s going to be full of stuff like this and I canceled my ipsy plus last month.
Ipsy had just become like a box of stuff from TJ Maxx or Ross that I didn’t get to pick out. II mean getting that single dose of colors (I think that is what it was called) eyeshadow, last month was just outrageous to me.

I agree, hiw ridiculous to give an eyeshadow palette and then another random eyeshadow too. And in black, no less, it seemed like they had extra and threw it in the box instead of giving something better. I end up giving away half my box every month. Im giving it one more month and if its not better, im going back to test tube beauty. I also had ipsy and it was a lot of crappy makeup and barely any skin or body care, so im curious what they will bring to the table for boxycharm.

Can’t speak for anyone but me but I love the face palettes so long as they aren’t too pale. I actually do pan these types of products (bronzer, blush, and countour) fairly often so I’m always happy to get new ones. In the mixed palettes, face and eye, I’m always panning the face products but not the eye shadows, since I have so many more eye palettes.

No More Eyeshadow Palettes!!!!! I have pleaded and begged them to stop with the eye shadow, i have emailed, and redone my survey and commented on instagram. The eyeshadow has to stop🙄

The whole reason I sub to Boxy because they send palettes every month. That’s what they known for, and that’s what they promise.

They’ve stated repeatedly that they don’t use the surveys/profiles. Plus for every one comment on IG complaining about palettes? There’s 100 asking for more. There are lots of subs that offer WAY better customization.

This response is for Barbara. It sounds like there might be other subs out there for you. I was sad to cancel Boxy but I did because I have too much. And I DO wear eye shadow, mascara, etc. I’m in healthcare too and it’s the only thing that shows above my mask! But if you don’t like these things, maybe a more skincare focused box, or something like Ipsy with more customization, would be a better match. Just a thought.

They told me personally to re do my survey and specify no eyeshadow, which I did,to no avail. And the choice for December was between 2 eyeshadow palettes yet again. There should be an option for people who dont want eyeshadow. I am a healthcare worker and don’t wear an entire
face full of makeup everyday and for that matter when I home either.With the pandemic ,not going to any places or events there is no call for it. Its great for people who are into it,but for those of us who aren’t we should have another option. I have several friends cancel their subscriptions over this issue ,so I know I am not alone.
