From cozy winter staples to sustainable swaps, the Winter Box has a little of everything: 5 options to customize; 6 sustainable, ethical, full-size products worth up to $275+, one beautifully illustrated collectible box. Yep, all that for just $49.95.

Sounds pretty good, right? We think so, too.

For a limited time, use coupon code BF20 to get your first CAUSEBOX for $29.95! (Regularly $54.95 per quarter)

CAUSEBOX is a quarterly subscription box that features brands and items dedicated to doing good all over the world. Many featured brands donate a portion of proceeds to charities and/or may employ local artisans, use ethically-sourced goods, etc.

The Winter box will include:

ROSE & FITZGERALD Brushed Gold Kettle - $98

A stovetop statement and your new pour-over coffee bff. Rose & Fitzgerald blends age-old craft with a simplistic, contemporary aesthetic, creating authentic, quality pieces with handmade charm. More than 300+ artisans were employed in making this kettle!

OR

THREAD & SUPPLY Cozy Cloud Wrap - $115

With its downright cashmere feel, you probably would never guess this wrap is made from recycled plastic water bottles — but it is! This cloud-soft sweater pairs well with socially distant dinner dates or cozy nights in.

And:

Activated Eco Reusable Silicone Baking Sheets OR Boon Supply Reusable Zip Pouches

Good taste alert! This winter, let's make less plastic and more deliciousness. Our third spoiler is a choice between two sustainable swaps in the kitchen. Which one are you?

Made from 100% food grade and BPA free silicone, this set of 2 pastel green and light grey sheets save 18 rolls of baking paper each year on average. Plus, they're fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe!
The snacker → Take a little for the road with these @boonsupply Reusable (and translucent, for easy viewing 👀) Zip Pouches in 5 different sizes, and replace more than 300 single-use bags each year! Not only are these an excellent sustainable swap, but Boon Supply also gives back big time with their unique business model. 40% of every order with Boon Supply supports a fundraiser of your choice. At CAUSEBOX, we chose to support Teach for America. For this product, a portion of profits will go towards providing TFA's teachers with the training, tools, and resources needed to best support their students in a distance learning environment.

Again, if I could customize being Seasonal I would already be in but, until then…nope.

Causebox needs to come up with an awesome gift and send it to all their Annual subscribers and then open customization to everyone. From that point forward Annual memberships come with a gift and a discount. The end.

Reply ButtonReply

Jeanette

I have really enjoyed getting the box 📦. I have liked everything I have picked. I enjoy giving some of the stuff as gifts. Enjoy life its to short to complain.

Reply ButtonReply

Kristin

I decided not to renew my annual, not a bad box but was hit or miss for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Jay

I actually like all these choices,
The sweater, the socks, the reusable bags and the earrings are my choices

Reply ButtonReply

Swab

Right!! Same issue here. I feel like clothes shouldn’t be an option or we should be able to give them our sizes. I had to give away the robe and would be super bummed if I had to do it with the cardigan too. Like it’s not one size fits all

Reply ButtonReply

Sharon

I agree with the sizing issue. The robe was skimpy and was actually made weird. I ended up giving it away to my 10 year old granddaughter. Disappointing because I needed a robe like that. I too am skeptical ordering another clothing item. Need to know what size the wrap fits and if there is an option for a different size they need to make that clear – and not on instagram but on the site you order from. I don’t even do instagram.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

They said on Instagram they have a plus sized version, you just have to email them before they ship the box

Reply ButtonReply

Katy

Completely forgot I was subbed to this box until I got the payment notice. I wouldn’t mind so much but I inevitably get the items I can’t use…will end up getting a 100$ kettle for a gas stove…and probably earrings for my unpierced ears…sigh. well at least I can go click unsubscribe now.

Reply ButtonReply

Lily

Can you not use this particular kettle on a gas stove?

Reply ButtonReply

JJ Casuals

You can use it on a gas stove. CB confirmed it on a FB thread where a ton of questions were asked about it.

mk

I will NEVER understand why CB leaves money on the table when everyone here at MSA (customers) are begging them to let us customize 1 – 2 items so we can purchase their box.

In the current winter box, I do not wear earrings so not having a choice is a deal-breaker for me – how can we support Artisans if CB is not supporting its’ customers by giving us a choice or 2?

Reply ButtonReply

Stephers

Amen.

Reply ButtonReply

Morgan

You clearly don’t understand the point of this subscription. Supporting companies and organizations that are making the world a better place – in one way or another. AND you get beautiful, high quality items. I highly doubt they could stay in business if they were able to provide BOTH items in each section. You have to think about the discounted cost they are providing these at for and the small companies they are supporting. If you’re not looking to support these companies that give back to the world and care about how their products are made, not just meeting consumer demand at any cost, then by all means, switch to Fab Fit Fun… but don’t bash a company like Causebox for being true to who they are.

Reply ButtonReply

Mk

Morgan,

I’m not sure if you are responding to my post. I do want to support CB, but not to the extreme of buying a box that has products I cannot use. If you follow the comments that have been on here for well over a year – person after person has said they would purchase a box if they could customize one or two choices – how is that NOT supporting Causebox? So, in your mind, I should just throw money out for a box with items I cannot use such as the pierced earrings? I also matter as a customer and if Causebox wants to build a customer base, they will hopefully listen to the needs ot potential subscribers.

Reply ButtonReply

Crystal Coates

The box looks great this time around. Unfortunately, I have decided to pare down and intend to stick to my resolve but definitely would not be unhappy if I still had a box left on my annual.

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

Spoiler #5 leaked on Facebook – choice between a 2021 planner or a set of foot masks.

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

Ugh. This box is just not very exciting I was hoping for a WOW #5. Already bought my planner as I look for a certain kind so I guess I’m getting foot wraps, Not really a giant fan of foot wraps but I guess I’ll use it right before sandal weather. Shrug.

Reply ButtonReply

JJ Casuals

Where are y’all seeing this foot wrap/planner thing? I’m just not finding it! TIA!

JJ Casuals

Can you tell us where specifically? I looked and couldn’t find it 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Deb

JJ Casuals, I found reference to it on Reddit, Copied here:

“Someone in a Causebox Facebook group I’m in posted this email she received. It states what the fifth choice is at the bottom. There was also a comment saying they won’t (I guess “officially”) release Spoiler #5 until Dec 4th, I wonder why they make us wait so long when they know and the skip deadline is tonight.

Victoria

On what account? I’m feeling so lukewarm about this box, but it’ll be a nice treat when it arrives next year.

Reply ButtonReply

Izzie

Since I was unable to find the new spoiler, I decided to skip. The cardigan’s sleeves are short on the model, hence they’ll be short (or even shorter) on me: not a choice for somebody who is tall and wants long sleeves to reach the wrists. The kettle is not practical for me, I prefer it to be enamel-coated and to have an insulated handle because for sure I’ll pick it up mindlessly and I’d rather avoid to burn myself. The other items are ok, but the only think I don’t have and I would like to have are the baking mats- not enough to justify the whole box. Too bad they didn’t spoil everything before the deadline to skip, I am on the market for a planner and it could have made me reconsider whether to get the winter box.
Also, despite the fact I just signed up as an annual, I think it would be fair to have seasonal subscribers make some choices when there are so many in the box and the items are so different and particular (ie both cardigan and earrings are not suitable for everybody.)

DW

I bought the coaster holder meant for these coasters in particular… but I’m absolutely skipping this box now. I don’t need any of it to the point where it’s worthwhile, regrettably. Guess I’ll figure out something to do with the coaster holder, unless marketplace orders get canceled when you skip a box 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Natalie

Join the Causebox Community group on Facebook — not the official Causebox group, but the separate one set up by subscribers to talk about their reactions to products. You can resell your coaster holder to people who will buy it. Many people are upset that the holder is already sold out, so there will definitely be a market for your holder. It’ll easily sell.

Carrie

The Thread & Supply cardigan is available at Nordstrom’s for around $50 and I just bought one directly from T&S for $20 that’s very similar if not better.

Reply ButtonReply

Janet Ellen Cooke

We all understand that nobody pays full retail for anything. We also know that the the box is either $30, $50, or $60…that this the full season’s purchases. Are you also aware that anyone can go to the Nordstrom’s site and see that this piece is NOT available there. https://www.nordstrom.com/sr?origin=keywordsearch&keyword=thread+and+supply+cozy+cloud+wrap+
Give it another try, maybe? How can you know if something is similar or better unless you have owned it? What do you think of the rest of the box?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I don’t see the exact one, buy Nordstrom does have the Thread and Co “Perfect” cardigan for $49 (normal price) and the Wubbly car coat for $59 (normal price.)

The Cloud Wrap cardigan looks like a similar shape to the perfect, but shorter, with a more textured look.

Kristin

So then it’s not a one size?

Marie

Search “thread and supply cozy” on nordstrom.
It’s there.

Lauren D.

Geeeze, she’s just trying to be helpful. Someone might like the sweater style, but not want the box. It’s not a big deal.

Julie

So frustrating. I loved this box when I first subbed last year. I wish that seasonal subscribers would at least 2 choice options when these choices are so drastically different. When it comes to color of the item it’s not a big deal but when it’s coming down to such a huge range consisting jewelry or coasters or body scrub? Come on.. I gave it one more chance after the fall box but after seeing these spoilers I’m unsubscribing and sticking with other sub boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

Cary san

To me only scarves and beanies are one size fits all. Not sweaters or robes. Why cant there ever be a small, medium, large choice. This one size just kept me from doing a good causebox deal.

Reply ButtonReply

Swan

Exactly! They should either not do clothes or should allow us to give them our size. I’m going to be bummed if I have another box with an item I can’t use, I had to give away the robe.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle F.

I think you only get a total of 4 items in this winter box. I just saw an advertisement on facebook with Michel Janse doing an unboxing. She didn’t get any extra items. I thought you always got 6 items. I couldn’t find the same video on YouTube.

Reply ButtonReply

Tami

Not true at all…she was just given some promo items in a box to show us. They have said there will be 2 more items they havent spoiled yet.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle F.

Tami thank you for clearing that up for me. I was getting a little worried. I’m looking forward to see the next 2 items.

Sara

I already have all these items or something very similar (they are great, but don’t need duplicates that seems wasteful). I’d like to skip this box, can someone tell me how I can do that?

Thank you!

Reply ButtonReply

Mallory @ MSA

Hi Sara! You can pause your subscription or skip a box by emailing Causebox at [email protected]. Hope this helps!

Reply ButtonReply

Jade

If you’re an annual, just send them an email before Dec. 1 to [email protected] saying you’d like to skip the box. That will push back your subscription to another month so you still get 4 boxes total before you renew.

If you’re a seasonal subscriber, then you just cancel your subscription and sign back up (preferably using a discount code) when you see a box you like.

Reply ButtonReply

Steph

I was told to just shoot them an email telling them you want to skip a box! You’ll still get 4 total.

Reply ButtonReply

Suzanne

FYI, they do have a plus sized option for the wrap/cardigan. You just have to email them to request it.

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

THANK for this heads up!

Reply ButtonReply

Tami

Thank you so much for that… I will be sure to request it!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle F.

When I made my select on the website I was not able to pick the size of the cardigan. Right now my assumption is one size fits all.

Reply ButtonReply

Sherri

If you just select the cardigan as your choice, then you get the one size (00-22). If you want the plus size option, as Suzanne mentioned, you have to email them to request it. help (at) causebox (dot) com.

Sherri

Yes, they finally put that info in comments on FB and IG (would have been more helpful in the body of the post and/or on their website, but whatever…). Regular option is 00-22, plus size is 20-26.

Reply ButtonReply

Elena

Can I just say how much I love that the model wearing the earrings has silver/white hair?! She’s gorgeous and it helps to normalize grey hair.

Reply ButtonReply

Stephers

No kidding! LOVE the normalization of gray hair and that it can be so beautiful to boot! I’ve had a lot of grays since early 20’s. With this Covid situation and therefore my letting it grow out, I’m hoping it’ll work out for me like that also! This gives women the courage to be more themselves. Sad that we need courage for it though. 😉

Reply ButtonReply

Jean

I agree – she’s stunning! I really appreciate photos of the earrings on too. This is the perfect size for me – I’m not a fan of big hoops.

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

Nice spoilers but again, they would get a LOT more business if they would let seasonals pick out 1 or 2 options

Reply ButtonReply

Annabelle

Totally agree! It’s not like it’s just between 2 different colours of the same purse…a kettle vs. a sweater? Totally different boxes. They should allow the most expensive item at least to be customized.

Reply ButtonReply

maria

Most of the cardis at the THREAD & SUPPLY store are marked down to $20, so I’m questioning the $115 value of this cloud wrap. And I couldn’t find the kettle for sale anywhere, so another “made for sub box” item? The kettle is pretty but the sweater is the more useful of the two IMHO. But as a seasonal, not being to select even one item is too much of a risk 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Stephanie

And the regular price for these cardigans are $78 but somehow this is $115. It’s a made for sub box cardigan so I guess it gets special pricing, lol.

And the $78 cardigans that are now $20. This is because we are smart shoppers and know a polyester cardigan can be purchased anywhere for 20 so why would anyone pay almost $80?

Reply ButtonReply

DW

There’s literally an almost identical cardigan for sale on Target’s website for $19.99, except it’s 76% recycled polyester.

Didds

I think that kettle is so pretty, but I never use stove top kettles and don’t like decorative items cluttering up my kitchen counters/stove. So I guess cardigan it is, even though I can sense the sleeves are going to be too short for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

The sleeves do look very short – I wonder if they are suppose to be 3/4 length? That would sortof defeat the purpose of staying warm, lol

Reply ButtonReply

Erica

I want both the kettle and the cardigan. I really can’t decide. I want both the mats and the bags. Probably picking the bags. I’m getting the socks and the coasters.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

I ended up choosing the mats because I’ve had a stasher bag for over a year and have only used it twice. We use tons of tin foil though, and I’m hoping the mats will shave off some clean up time.

Reply ButtonReply

Andrea

Can I buy the $30 special and choose the kettle? Or, is it a random selection?

Reply ButtonReply

Mallory @ MSA

Hi Andrea! You will get the option to choose with the annual membership. Hope this helps!

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Does anybody know if this kind of teapot can be used on a woodstove? gas stove?

Reply ButtonReply

Melody

I really hate that the kettle and the wrap (why are we calling this a wrap and not a cardigan?) are in the same category. Or I wish we could add extra items. I really want both!

Reply ButtonReply

Kim

I’m going to use the tea kettle to water my plants.
The sweater is cute, but it’s probably poly blend. No thanks.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

That’s a great idea! I do plan to use it as a kettle, but as another lady posted, the handle isn’t actually insulated! So I’m not sure it will be a good fit. I don’t really want to have to grab a pot holder ever time I want to make a cup of tea.

socaldeb

They sent a wrap, and called it a poncho. They sent a poncho, and called it a caftan. Must have a different dictionary.

Reply ButtonReply

Iz

Lol

Annabelle

I am adding a second seasonal sub to get two boxes so I can have both. If you email customer service the will usually let you customize the extra box if you are an annual member. The extra box is only $30 right now

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I can’t seem to get the coupon box to appear when trying to purchase an additional box. I’m currently an annual member and have purchased season boxes with coupon codes before, but now it’s not giving me a coupon code box. Can you share how you did this?

Annabelle

I’m going with the earrings, pillowcase, baking sheets and kettle. Really hoping a travel mug is up next. This is not as great as last winters IMO but not a bad box.

Reply ButtonReply

~^..^~Brenda

I picked the same so far! I’ve gotten a few single boxes in the past so bit the bullet and got an annual sub. The kettle sucked me in!

Reply ButtonReply
