Have you been making the most of your Ipsy Points? If you have an Ipsy subscription, you can earn Points and redeem them for more products! Here's everything you need to know about Ipsy Points:

How to Earn Points

You can earn Points for participating in activities centered on your membership, and use them to redeem free products from IPSY.

To get started, log into your IPSY account and go to the Points tab. You can see how many Points you've earned when they'll expire, and pick out products to redeem.

Here's how you can earn Points:

  • Referrals: Earn 600 Points for each friend who signs up within 24 hours through your unique referral link.
  • Follow our creators: Follow the IPSY creators on Twitter (10 Points) and YouTube (10 Points).
  • Product Reviews: Earn 15 Points for each product you review in your online Glam Bag.
  • Full Glam Bag Review: Earn 10 Points for reviewing your entire Glam Bag experience each month.

NOTE: To earn and spend Points, you must be an active member who is at least 13 years old and living in the U.S. or Canada.

FYI - Points expire!

Yes, Points expire 12 months from the date they were first earned. We encourage Ipsters to stay actively engaged in earning and redeeming Points, and we add new Points items to redeem every month in a range of different point values.

If you cancel your membership, your Points will still be kept for you for the full 12 months, so you can redeem them if you decide to rejoin.

How to Redeem Points

You can use the Points you earn to redeem free products from IPSY.

Log into your IPSY.com account, then select “Points”. To see the products we currently have available, select "Redeem". We update Points rewards frequently.

You can redeem Points for any available product at any time, and you can redeem Points for multiple rewards in one month. However, you can only redeem one of each item since inventory is limited. If you see something you like, act fast!

When you redeem a Points item, it’ll arrive in your next month’s Glam Bag. If you redeem after 12pm PT on the last day of the month, it will be included in the following month's Glam Bag. For example, if you redeem a Points item at 5pm PT on January 31st, you'll get that Points item with your March Glam Bag.

Products You Can Get With Your Points

To see the current products available, go to the Points tab and click Redeem. That will show you the products you can use your points on right now.

Here's a look at a few of the Ipsy Rewards products from past months:

I have 6,000 points and the most expensive product to renew for it is 1200 points. I haven’t used any of the. The fact is, the products are just not goo. I have been waiting months to trade in my points and I have never seen products like the one shown above. The redeemable products that they have out to choose with your reward are small unnecessary and frequently their own leftover “Refreshments” products are trying to push. I keep waiting and waiting for them to renew into different new choices (it’s been almost a month) and it’s the same items. Out of six there are only two left that are not sold out and they are junk.

The choices are never appealing to me. Right now they have two past Glam Bags, just the bag and a mascara. Oh and a lip oil but that is sold out.

I agree I have 3485 points, and I check almost everyday, and they do not update what you can get very often. Before the pandemic they actually had some really good stuff there. Lately there has not been that great stuff.

I have 2645 points. I haven’t been able to redeem anything in forever. They don’t update the point store enough. Its the same items almost every time I check, and they’re usually sold out. The pointing system used to be better. But then items were selling out so quickly, they raised the points for everything and don’t update frequently.

The only way you really accumulate any useful points is through referrals. Otherwise, they expire too quickly to use.

They rarely update the rewards. There’s hardly ever any good full size items to redeem for. It’s definitely not something to hang your hat on if you think you want to sign up.

The points system is an absolute sham. There are never any products, and the points expire faster than they can accumulate. I have been with Ipsy for YEARS, and have only received two points items, both for 600 points.

I currently have 1,175 points, but 90 are expiring at the end of the month. Unless I buy three add-ons, I cannot get to 1,200. However, the only 1,200 point award is an empty bag I already received. Got 600? You can get an empty bag you probably received, a lip balm with lanolin that may turn your lips into clown lips if you have developed an allergy, a mascara sample, or a tiny body lotion sample. WOW! The choices are ASTOUNDING!

They need to step it up, or do away with it.

I agree the point situation is grim and points aren’t easy to come by, but you get 15 points per item (5 items per bag) and 10 points for the review of bag itself. That’s 85 points a month minimum (more if you have multiple bags, much more if you take advantage of the add on sale). That’s over a thousand points a year, if you only have one bag and never buy add ons.

Why does this always happen…I was commenting under another comment and it got moved to someone else’s lol! Sorry for being confusing! That was supposed to be a response to Amber’s & Crapsy’s comments! 😉

Rena

Exactly what I was thinking. How do they “compensate”? By giving a whopping 600 points to use on…a lip balm? A bag you already have? Gee thanks! I’m sitting on a couple grand myself and consistently checking for something worth spending them on. Pretty sad when even “free” is too much to pay for an item lol!

amber

LOL HARD at “we update points rewards frequently” and the fact that there is nothing good in the points rewards to even post here, so you posted rewards from the “past few months”

Crapsy

You hit the nail on the head. All I can add is that when they screw up your order or your bag, you don’t get a refund, you get more useless points. It’s such a scam.
