As much as I love Huda and other brands, they are way too expensive. We are in a history pandemic and it’s just not an option to purchase these now which is a shame since they are so much fun to get.

I can’t really think of a brand that I like enough to have a single brand advent calendar. This is a nice one though, with a good variety of makeup, skincare, and fragrance. (I need to try those fragrances, vanilla and musk are my favorites).

Good Grief, wouldn’t it be nice to see some nice samples from Huda for under 50? It just seems like these Advent Calendars have went crazy stupid.
I can do a lot with a 175.00 for my Grandchildren in the way of presents.
If people can afford the price tag and enjoy it, nothing wrong with purchasing, but for me NO.

I appreciate that Huda is at least giving their customers almost all full sized products at a lower price point than several other calendars costing more and being nothing but samples or deluxe sizes. The fact that it includes 2 full sized eyeshadow palettes with mostly wearable colors for all is pretty outstanding in itself as far as advent calendars go, even the luxe ones.
I have way too much unused makeup products laying around to seriously consider this over an ipad but it it were more financially feasible within my budget, I would nab it up. It would be my Kiss 2020 goodbye treat myself extravaganza holiday gift. Lol.
It is lip shaped after all. 🤣😂

Anyone else miss the days where you were excited to take a small object out of a small pouch and put it on a small tree? Or take a small animal out of a small drawer to put in a small advent scene? And after the holidays it got packed up and you were excited to do it all over again the next year??
Now we have $175, $250, $400 advent calendars full of beauty products when we already all have more skincare, mascara, blush, and eyeshadow, than we could use in 20 years.
Even the food ones have gotten INSANE. I remember my mom buying each kid a $5 calendar that had cheap chocolate behind each paper flap. And we were thrilled to have that tiny shaped chocolate piece each day! Maybe it’s just quarantine getting to me but I miss the simpler days when a $5 calendar excited me… instead of lusting after the only two advent calendars that have drawn my attention, both with price points nearing or over $100 (David’s Tea and Vosges Chocolate).

One of my best memories is of a Nutcracker Suite advent with a paper theater and hazelnut chocolates, also had one of The Night Before Christmas with mice paper dolls. Ahhhh innocent and less complicated times. Hugs to you all ❤️

I remember coveting samples from Sephora purchases. Your comment is testimony to how subscriptions have changed our spending habits and product expectations. I am looking at my amazing collection of unopened palettes, and wondering what to do with them (I rarely use makeup these days). I need to find some inexpensive craft organizers and make my own advent calendars with full sized products from my stash. Then I need to find someone that I haven’t already swamped with makeup and skincare in the last 12 months.

I’m here if you need to test a homemade advent calendar out 😂 I have had the worst year and lost some of my makeup collection, I lost my home, lost my grandma ( in my arms’ and I’m in organ failure …and this year I had a mild heart attack, went through chemo and had to give up chocolate. Frankly even a $5 advent calendar makes me smile now. It’s the little things. But your idea of making advent calendars for others is really sweet and I am going to pass that thought along to others. We can get something positive started.

I’m pretty Bah Humbug about beauty advent calendars and their prices in general.
With that being said, I do think that Huda did well in providing a nice curation of products that even I think is worth a $175 holiday treat. And the box is adorable. I would Holiday Treat myself with this if I wasn’t already Holiday Treating myself to a new Ipad. 🤷♀️🤣

Katy you put it perfectly! I feel the exact same way about all of the advent choices/prices this year but if I had to pick one that seems to have the value there for the price and is actually exciting I would also pick this one. Also, I recently received a sample of that Kayali Vanilla 28 perfume that is in this calendar and it smells SO PRETTY!

This is probably the best one I’ve seen and want it. My first temptation!
But can’t afford it right now. Really don’t need it either. It’s awesome though ✨

This is the only one I have liked too. I just went and looked at the Retrograde palette and it is so pretty.
