Correction: I signed up for the monthly box with the black friday deal which also includes a free mystery box but the mystery box isn’t noted anywhere on my confirmation order. I also think the choice/selections are confusing ( it let me make choices for the quarterly box even though I ordered the monthly box 🤷 ). I finally figured out how to make my selections for the monthly box ( which only shows one item and I got to choose the color- silicone case sleeves – not real excited about this but we’ll see )

They use a survey/form based system to collect choices, so anyone can input info. Their survey includes a statement that only selections for an email/name associated with an active membership will be retained.

I never got an email to pick. They sent me one about the diffuser, but not this. Is there any way to choose on their website or does it have to be though the email?

Sherri

You can link to it through their website. Go to the particular subscription box where are you want to make your choice (select from the menu banner at the top) and scroll down, and you will see the options offered and there will be a link to choose.

Thank you Sherri!

This is so frustrating. This is the second seasonal box and the second one I didn’t know about the choice until I saw it on MSA, and all but one of two of the options were sold out. I receive a zillion emails from B&C, so it’s not like they don’t have my email.

I chose the pink crossbody but I would’ve been happy with several of the choices. I’m looking forward to this box; I’ve been wanting a reed diffuser for awhile, and the Bruja set looks interesting. Yes, their “choice” system could be improved, but I’ve always gotten exactly what I’ve chosen, including for the beauty box, and my emails are always answered promptly.

This is going to be my first B&C box (winter quarterly lifestyle box). The way you make your choices is so confusing to me…you get an email to make one of the choices, go to the web site, input your name and email, then select. But I don’t see a “master” page that keeps track of everything that I picked. Am I missing that link/button on the web site? I’m not confident that they have my choices recorded in my profile…they seem to have been lost in the ether.

I agree, I would also like to see our choices saved somewhere, maybe under “Account.”

I like the surprise, cuz by the time the box finally arrives, I’ve completely forgotten what’s in it!!!

Sherri

They use an online survey-type system (Typeform, you can see it in the URL when you link to the customization page) to collect customization choices. Those choices are associated with your email address and name and by extension your account (which is why they tell you to be sure to input the information associated with your account). Your choices are not lost, but rather are in a “behind the scenes” form with everyone’s choices, by email address/name. I’ve always received the items I chose, even though the form is not interfaced with their main website.

That is so reassuring thank you! I will stop worrying about it 🙂

I’m so tempted just for the Baiser Beauty Bruja set. Baiser is the best and this set has been sold out on their website which I guess now I know why, lol!

Am I the only person who can’t track their Fabfitfun box? MSA can you make a post about FFF shipping?

Mallory @ MSA

Hi Karen! We recommend reaching out to FabFitFun directly for more information on tracking: [email protected]

Any shipping issues with any box should be addressed with the company and/or the courier – although as another commenter noted, shipping is basically a complete mess right now, so people need to expect and accept issues. MSA has no control over any of that.

Janet

fyi: everything is screwed up on shipping, for everyone, all companies and most consumers. They are jammed, every mode of shipping. Some shipping places have stopped taking new packages even.. Just fyi, it’s no one’s fault. Too many workers got or have covid and there were no people to hire and where there were people to hire, no one to train. We all have to hang in there and be patient, hoping they get things worked out at some point, without losing anything in the process. Hard as it is, I’ve stopped ordering anything for the time being.

Thank you Joy! I wish MSA would fix the Bombay &C errors bc this just got my hopes up and then dashed lol. I think it was their last review that the price was also incorrect so it’s just confusing me, I do get confused easily though but still!

Mallory @ MSA

Hi Lawden! This was our mistake, but the price has been corrected in this post. Thanks for flagging this!

Joy

Same! I thought “what a great box!” when I saw the review but when I figured out it was the $75 box I was less thrilled. Nice boxes, just not in my budget this year.

This is the first time that I have seen handbags/wallets that I actually like in a sub box. I like the teal and the pink one. I don’t really need a new purse, but I’ll definitely wait to see what else is in this box.

Those bags are no where close to my style. No fomo

The Cost: $49.95 per month? But this is seasonal right?

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa

The cost and frequency you have listed is for the lower priced monthly box. This is the more expensive quarterly box spoilers.

Reply ButtonReply

Janet

Good catch!!! This is a way better box, but more expensive than they’re monthly one.

Reply ButtonReply

Joy

Wait, is this the quarterly or monthly? Bombay & Cedar’s variety of subscriptions is already confusing without the MSA errors in what box they are reviewing and spoiling.

Reply ButtonReply

mrsames2001

Hi Joy this is the winter quarterly box, that we are suppose to receive by the end of this month….However they are always way behind with their boxes, so you probably will not receive it until January…..This box is 75.00 a quarter if you sign up now, it is very expensive.

This will be my first box with B&C. I signed up for the black friday deal which was half price. It did say that the November box was still available and if I wanted that one ti email them otherwise I would start with the December box. I signed up for a quarterly subscription but haven’t gotten any further emails regarding choice/selection or any shipping updates. Can I still make my selections or is it too late ? Since they haven’t shipped yet I would think I can still make my selections or I at least hope so.

Joy

Thank you mrsames2001, I found the last MSA Bombay & Cedar review confusing as well because it was also incorrectly advertised as the $50 box instead of the $75 box.
