CatLadyBox is always full of fun, cat-themed lifestyle items. Let’s see what was in store for December:

I love how the information cards have custom artwork every month. And the back has more information about the items in the box. This month has a "Meowy Holidays" theme.
On to the items:

Cat’s Meow Hoodie – Listed Value $34.99
About once a year you’ll receive a hoodie, zip-up jacket, or something similar. I’ve been living in these all winter since around 2017 (and especially now that I am working from home) so I am always happy to receive another to add to the rotation. We received a customization email ahead of time. You could choose from ones that said “Purr,” “Hiss,” or “Meow” on the back. I don’t always choose when I get these emails, but I did this time. I told my husband the three choices and asked if he could guess which one I picked, and he got it right…
Anyway, something else I wanted to mention here was that CatLadyBox recently expanded their clothing size options. They now offer XS but I am glad I didn’t go for it because this was a snug fit (a standard outerwear sizing issue). Also, I have been living in Cat Lady Box t-shirts since I started working from home and I like the extra roominess of a slightly too-large shirt so I stayed with my usual size small. They also added at least one larger size at the other end of the range.

Ameowzing Ceramic Bowl Set - Listed Value $19.99
Usually, breakable items from Cat Lady Box come with a little more packaging than how these bowls arrived, and unfortunately, the largest of the three bowls was broken when I received it. I glued it back together and you can’t really tell but I think CatLadyBox is pretty responsive if you experience the same thing and were to ask for a replacement. I am most likely going to use these as decoration rather than their functional purpose so they don’t have to be perfect. The patterns on these go nicely with the towels from last month, too!
Meowy Cupcake Scented Hand Cream - Listed Value $6.99
You won’t receive beauty products often from CatLadyBox but every now and then you do. I’m glad this one is hand cream, which is something I’ve been consistently using, unlike makeup, which I haven't worn since March and I stopped doing most of my skincare routine as well out of sheer laziness. But I have to take my dog out a lot so my hands are pretty dry and cracked. I used this at night so I can’t speak to whether or not it makes my keyboard greasy but I can say it smelled nice and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin, so that’s a win.
Pretty Purresent Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99
My cats mostly wanted to rub their faces and heads on this but they are older and I count that as interest.
A note on the toys in this box: In this version of the box, there are two cat toys. I have read some complaints in some of the comments on reviews that people didn’t receive the toys. Please do check which subscription you have as there is a slightly less-expensive version of this box that does not include the toys. But if you have an item missing in error, please do reach out to CatLadyBox; I find their customer service to be very responsive.
Swirly Candy Cane Cat Toy – Listed Value $6.99
Here is the second catnip toy. This one was a little more interactive although I don’t think my cats appreciated me hanging it over their heads or pulling on their legs with it – Sneaky bit me in response. But then she bit the toy, too! Unfortunately for picture purposes, the camera went off *after* the interesting moments. But I’m sure anyone who tries to take pictures of cats has been through that!

Madison is the black cat, Sneaky is the calico, and Monkey is tan and white (I was asked in another review which one was which).
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $74.95 for the December 2020 "Crazy" CatLadyBox. This was a good box for me, primarily because the “hero” item (the hoodie) is very useful, and in fact I have been looking forward to it for a while, knowing it was likely to come this month. My cats liked snuggling with the toys and the other items are also useful and non-repetitive compared to past box contents.

The cutoff day to order each month is at midnight EST on the 26th. If you order before the cutoff time, we'll ship you the next month's box. If you order after that date, your first box will be one after that. For example: Order by December 26th to get the January box. We'll ship the January box at the very end of December so you get it in the beginning of January!
However, at time of publication December boxes are still available for purchase in the shop, along with individual items from past boxes. Way back when I signed up, I was contacted to say there were a few past boxes leftover and asked if I’d like one of those. So it may be worth inquiring if you're interested in this particular box.
