I just had the oddest phone call with Allure. I called to ask if they could skip January for me (I have an annual subscription,) and the lady told me my sub was “discontinued” back in November (I skipped December as well.) When I asked what she meant by discontinued, she said she was going to get a supervisor to “help” me and put me on hold for over 15 minutes. Tired of waiting, I hung up and dialed again. Thankfully I got someone different who repeatedly apologized and proceeded to skip the month of January for me.

It runs me the wrong way when things become way more complicated than it needed to be. A lot of times solid, good help is so hard to find! I would love a post here that rates all the popular subscriptions soley on their customer service. Lately that has been the driving force as to whether I sign up or not.

They lost my account after I skipped October, my November box didn’t ship until mid December after multiple phone calls. I skipped December too, at this point it’s in god’s hands whether I get any future boxes.

How old are those ABH Moonchild palettes? How many are there still loitering in Allure’s warehouse? It seems like they pop up as a freebie every other month! Where was this palette during my disco days when I really would have used and appreciated it?

I am honestly surprised at the amount of leftover stock they have for the new subscriber bundles.

I’m also wondering where all this stuff was when I re-upped in August. (grumble)

I still maintain that the new price wasn’t supposed to take effect until the January 2021 box, but somebody either got greedy or did something dumb.

I heard that some folks were able to get an extension of three months at the old price before it increased when they called to complain to IPSY about the new price, so that would take you/them to January (from the October announcement) before their price increased.
