A little late here, but I’d like to see this reviewed. I originally subscribed to beauty boxes specifically for mascara samples (3+ years ago) and that is the one thing I do not receive. I have been in the market for a new cruelty-free mascara that doesn’t have a pro-cruelty parent company. I prefer waterproof though, for curl-holding value, but I could give this a try.

There’s a great mascara sampler at Sephora for $48, which is a little over the cost of this sub for 2 months. If this was cheaper (like $15 a month) it might be a good sub to gift my sister who wears mascara every day and loves trying new ones. But I think the sampler at Sephora is a much better value, I think it had 8-10 deluxe samples. It even has a deluxe sample of the Grande Lash serum my sister buys that made her lashes grow amazingly long in three months.

I would like to this reviewed as a mascara junkie. Especially to see what that surprise is. Hmm.

Don’t we all have 1 million mascaras at home because we’re subscription addicts? I can’t imagine getting this box, I literally have enough mascara and black liners to last me for the next 5 years.

Snow

Probably. But part of the fun is trying new stuff and possibly finding that hg!

Bahaha literally what I was going to say. Remember the April Fool’s post anyone?? Though I did stop subscribing to beauty box a couple years ago and now I need a new They’re Real! …

I totally thought of that April Fool’s post and thought this has to be a joke when I read it.

Boxtopus!

Pass for me.

It looks like it is a deluxe sample size for $21 (the makeup remover isn’t worth anything to me, you can get a bag of those for a few dollars)?

Still, I would like to see it reviewed.

“weekly tips and inspiration” – so, get their in-house mascara periodically, and be bombarded by blah blah emails and social media solicitations constantly. That is the business model here.

Any one of us could start a business like that.

Sure, why not. Review it once. But do please give us a count of how many emails they bombarded you with from the day you ordered it to the day you received it.

That’s a great point, Julia! I feel like this is tied into brand messaging, rather than only emails that are purely sales-focused. Either way, there should be an option to pare back email notifications!

Yes, please review!

I would too. However I can usually tell if a mascara is going to work for me just by looking at the brush.

Mallory @ MSA

Glad to hear it! How are you feeling about this brush?
