JustFab is a monthly clothing, shoes, and accessories subscription that allows you to shop in two ways - you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:
- Take the Style quiz to note your size and style preferences.
- Each month, JustFab releases a new collection and they will curate looks that match your preferences which you can view in your personalized Boutique
- Shop those looks at 40% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $39.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied towards future purchases.
FYI, COVID-19 Updates: Stay up-to-the-minute on shipping delays, return policy changes, and more right here.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

JustFab January 2021 Review
I get a lot of questions about how this subscription works and since it is a bit confusing I figured I'd walk you through the process:
Signing Up
The first step to signing up is taking a short quiz to answer some questions about your style, or you can just skip that and go straight into registering for an account with your name, email address, and shoe size. Then they will take you to your "boutique" which are some items they recommend for you. While the $10 offer seems like it can only be applied to shoes, it will also take 40% off any clothing or accessories, which will be the price shown in red. Of course, once you go to check out, they may offer you some additional deals, so I recommend finding a few items and seeing how much you can save! Just a warning- they do sell out of items quickly, especially in certain sizes, so if you are in love with something, don't hesitate!
First Purchase
Just for fun, I added these slide sandals to my cart. Now you can see they ring up as only $10 so long as you select that you are joining their VIP membership. I've also included the terms of their membership program. FYI - I have successfully canceled an account in the past without having to call in.
Here you can see the difference between the VIP savings (left) versus just shopping without a membership.
Monthly Membership
Each month you can avoid paying the $39.95 membership fee by simply going into "My Account" and selecting "Skip the Month." Once it says "You've Skipped," you can just forget about this until next month with no obligation to shop or buy. You could also shop that month to avoid the credit, but I much prefer skipping and then shopping at my leisure, or even better, waiting for a sale to shop! Also, you get points for shopping and for reviewing items you've purchased which can be redeemed for a percentage off or even just a dollar-amount off which can add up fairly quickly. Although, sometimes the way the credit applies to sale items can get a bit tricky, so you may have to play around with it a bit to make sure you're getting the best deal.
Summary
- It's $10 for your first pair of shoes or 40% off clothing or accessories for your first purchase.
- Set a reminder to skip each month so you don't end up with a credit you don't want.
- Shop sales to maximize savings!
Longline Jacquard Cardigan by Woven Heart in Grey Multi - Retail Value $69.95, VIP Price $49.95 (This sweater is currently sold out in most sizes.)
Okay, so this was a bit of a splurge and not necessarily a great deal, but I have a black and white jacquard cardigan (check out my review here) that looks similar and it is one of my favorites to throw over anything and get cozy with. The cardigan that I own is super thick and heavy, almost like a jacket and I really wanted another one that I could keep at my husband's family cabin where we've been spending a lot of time recently. His grandfather (who sadly passed before my husband and I got together) built the cabin himself and recently we discovered an old cardigan of his that looks similar to this one which my husband has now inherited. We like to stay up late playing Scrabble and I thought it would be fun and sort of sentimental to keep my own sweater up there to use when I get chilly at night. I actually debated on whether or not to get this sweater, but then I got an email saying there were only a few left (It was true! The next day it was sold out in my size!), so I took a chance!
So was it worth it? I really like the unique style of this sweater and I love the colors, which are actually so different than what I expected from the online photos. I also love that it is long and cozy so I can really wrap myself up in it and it will still serve the purpose I intended it to, but... it is just not the same quality as the cardigan that I already have. It is lighter weight and has a completely different fabric makeup. The black and white one has viscose in it which gives it a tiny bit of stretch and it's just a really unique sweater in general, but this new one is more of a basic cardigan. While I do like it a lot, I don't know that I would have paid what I paid for it had I known it was not going to be as thick as the other one. I was really only okay with the splurge because I know how much use I get out of my other one.
The Verdict: The cardigan that I ordered from JustFab was not quite what I expected, but it is still going to serve the same purpose. I may not have gotten a fantastic deal on it, but I had to take a chance for fear it would go out of stock (rightly so!). While the quality is not exactly on par with the one I already own and wanted to replicate, it is still long, cozy, and warm which is exactly what I wanted for the next time we head to the family cabin. As far as the value, since it is not quite the thick, heavy cardigan I thought I was purchasing, I don't think I would pay what I did for it, but sometimes you just have to take a chance! Hopefully next month I'll fare better!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, at time of publication this sweater is sold out, but it's worth checking back – I've seen a couple sizes come in and out of stock.
ACTIVE DEAL: Get your first pair of shoes for $10! No coupon needed - just use this link.
Value Breakdown: The total retail value for this sweater is $69.95, and the VIP price is $49.95. I paid $51.11 which is a discount of about 27% off retail.
