A thick, soft, and elegant striped bath towel from Vipp

This box is a bit bath heavy for me, but I think a major draw with Norlii is that you are getting brands that may not be readily available in the U.S. There are boxes I get because they offer great value, but this isn’t one of them. I subscribe to Norlii for the great curation.

Over 70$ with shipping for what you could replicate at Marshall’s for 1/2. I like the concept but their margins are too great. Personally I would have thrown a book in the box & a hair wrap to match the towel. Something to make the actual value closer to what they claim. Just because someone is selling an orcganic bath scrub for 20$ does not mean it’s selling. I’ve learned now that the 1st spoiler is it. Nothing unique or enticing is coming after that.

Shipping is $9.95, not $7.

Aww shoot, this is my second box with them and I’m not crazy about it. I only take showers, not baths, and I have enough scrubs from other subs to last a few years, these don’t feel very special and I’ll probably have to give them away regardless. While I love products by Vipp, paying $70+ for a towel and a candle isn’t such a treat. Vipp sells a set of six towels on their website for $99. Not sure I’ll risk another round, may have to cancel.

This was my first box. I was very excited to subscribe, but very disappointed. The candle has no throw for me (of course, I did have Covid in November, so there may be some lack of sense of smell left – argh!), the bath salts are tiny, and the scrub is just meh. Very underwhelming.

I’m new too and I’m a bit disappointed as well. I just received my box and the scrub and bath salts are tiny. They’re good for one maybe two uses. The pic makes them look substantial but they’re not. The candle is small as well, like 6 oz. The towel is gorgeous but it’s just a regular size. I thought for the price we paid we’d get a oversized comfy bath towel. The tray and spoon are beautiful. Sadly, I’m super disappointed.

Hi S, I agree with you, the bath products are very small, I was thinking maybe they’re travel size since they came in a pouch. The candle is small too, I do like the scent when burning though. Once the wax is gone I’ll clean it up and use an LED votive in it. I had hoped that the green bottle the bath salts came in would be glass and nice to reuse too, but alas, plastic. This box definitely needed a home item to balance it out. A brass tea strainer, canisters, a streamlined pen/pencil set for journaling, a leather potholder, something. I sometimes think going with one “theme” can be limiting.

I’m looking forward to receiving this; it’s a spa-inspired self care kit not unlike the one from Happy Rebel a few years ago (except that I very much prefer this quality towel over the thin crushed velvet robe sent by HR). Other sub boxes (PSMH or others sending out Turkish towels) have sent a single towel with less cohesive curation.
I enjoyed the Ib Laursen amber-scented sachet from the June 2020 Norlii box so I’m excited about the candle! And I look forward to treating my feet with the salt scrub after soaking in a salt-infused bath, as well — guaranteed “me time!”

Could have done without skincare I personally use neither product. Nice curation though.
