Sephora Favorites: Baby, Let's Glow Outside Review

Everything came packaged in this super shiny gold bag.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow in Perla, 0.68 oz - Retail Value $25.00

This is the liquid highlighter you reach for when you want a strong, pigmented glow – this stuff is potent. This is a champagne platinum shade that looks pretty on its own but would also be gorgeous mixed with a liquid foundation before applying it. This doesn’t have any chunks of glitter, but the shine in this is definitely bold.

HUDA BEAUTY Silk Lip Balm in Blush, 0.06 oz - Estimated Value $12.60(buy the 0.1 version for $21.00)

This is a pricy lip balm, but boy have I been loving it. It hydrates my lips while also adding a strong boost of shine, and it is incredibly comfortable to wear – no stickiness here. The shade Blush is described as a “universal pink” to flatter every skin tone, but I actually didn’t notice much of a pink color. On me, this was essentially clear, but I was still happy with how my lips looked. I have at least seven different lip products in my purse, but this is the one I have been reaching for the most lately.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Rose Gold, 0.05 oz - Retail Value $29.00

I am a big fan of the caviar sticks from Laura Mercier, and I am really stoked this set includes a full-size one instead of a mini. The shade Rose Gold is a classic rosy gold shimmer, and it looks gorgeous blended out over my entire lid or just as a liner on my top and bottom lashes. This is a true shimmer shade, too – no glitter here.

NARS Bronzer/Blush duo in Orgasm/Laguna, 0.17 oz - Retail Value $24.00

Orgasm is one of the most well-known blush shades in the makeup world, and that is because the peachy-pink shimmery blush looks good on just about everyone. I am someone who is hesitant with blush due to my naturally red cheeks, but even I can apply this and have it look good. The blush is paired with the Laguna bronzer, a sheer light brown shimmer that works well with my fair-light skin tone but wouldn’t work on anyone whose complexion is deeper than olive. I am not an expert, but I would say this product is the only one in the bag that truly won’t work for those with deep complexions.

Milk Makeup Flex Highlighter in Lit, 0.1 oz - Estimated Value $7.50 (buy the 0.2 oz version for $15.00)

This is a creamy highlighter stick with a champagne pearl finish. I normally am not one for cream formulas (I haven’t figured out how to use them without them messing up my base underneath), but I liked how I was able to apply a quick swipe of this to my cheekbones and I had a touch of natural glow. Straight-on I didn’t see too much of a difference, but my skin indeed looked more radiant when the sunlight hit my face.

Sephora Collection Colorful Eyeshadow in Twinkle Twinkle, 0.04 oz - Retail Value $9.00

I don’t use the Sephora Collection-brand products often, nor do I really have an interest in them – until I tried this sparkly eye shadow. It’s affordable, it’s pigmented, and it’s gorgeous – what more could I ask for?

From top to bottom, here are the swatches: Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick, Milk Highlighter, Sephora Eyeshadow, Nars Blush, Nars Bronzer, and ABH Highlighter.

Here I am wearing the Huda lip balm, the Sephora Collection eyeshadow, the Laura Mercier caviar stick on my bottom lash line, and the Milk highlighter.

The Verdict: I am obsessed with this set from Sephora – every product feels like it was truly curated to help my skin glow. I love that all of the shades are so wearable and that we received multiple full-size products (including the Laura Mercier caviar stick!!). If you’re shopping at your local Sephora and see this available in store, I strongly recommend grabbing it. From a value perspective, everything in this set adds up to $107.10, which is more than the promised value of $98.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you order today? Yes, but only if your local Sephora carries it – this is sold out online.

Value Breakdown: This kit cost $42 (and is currently on sale in-stores for $29), which means you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • ABH: $9.80
  • Huda: $4.94
  • Laura Mercier: $11.37
  • NARS: $9.41
  • Milk: $2.94
  • Sephora Collection: $3.53

I actually like a lot of sephora brand makeup items. Not a fan om their skincare but I love their powder foundation and lip creams.

They just released a Sephora Collection mascara that I am eyeing, too. Have you seen it?

I’d love to see more matchmaker or discovery kits. That highlighter really is bold!

Great review! I too love the Caviar Sticks – the rose gold color looks lovely on you.

And don’t discount Sephora Collection products! There are some real hidden gems there. I swear by their brushes (just make sure it’s the “Sephora Collection” brand – not just “Sephora” brand), and the Lipstories lipsticks are so inexpensive, yet their formula is one of my favorites. I actually prefer my Sephora lipsticks to a lot of higher end brands. And they come in a million colors too!

Thanks for the feedback, Alissa! Have you seen the new mascara Sephora released? I don’t need more mascara, but I’m eyeing it.

I’m not big on Sephora Collection products, but every so often they seem to stumble into a happy accident — the Colorful Eyeshadow in Unicorn Dust is 👌👌👌🔥

I love Laura Mercier caviar sticks. The rose gold is one of my favorite shades.
