I think our favorite item from Allure so far was that Christoph Robine hair cream from last month. Could definitely use more of those types again

Has anyone tried an eyeshadow stick like that? I thought it was an eyeliner at first. The picture doesn’t make it look very creamy, I’m not sure how my lids will like this..I might just use it as an eyeliner anyway, which would make it a good travel product for me, as I can make both day and night looks with it

I’m also not thrilled that the 111 was made in China instead of Europe. I also don’t like the scent of Bum Bum products. I might skip.

I canceled today. I don’t want anymore palettes so I sure as hell don’t want an eyeshadow stick lmao! I went through a whole 111 skin of that same one from Ipsy and it did NOTHING! I’m tired of bum bum n ahava is so boring too, n I’m getting a similar one in my Ipsy GB too. I used to looooooooove this box but I’ve only gotten February in months. I didn’t even want February to be honest lol I got it for the hair product and the lippy is not bad! Gave the serum to my mom and the other 3 products were dumb. Lol I’m sorry guys 😝 little vent here 🤣🤣🤣.

I decided I was DONE with Allure after those embarrassing December and January boxes, but dang I was so in love with the February box that I ended up ordering 4 of them 🤷‍♀️ That February box gave me so much hope! The U skincare serum is so, so good and it’s not one of those insanely expensive filler items that no one actually buys(I’m looking at you 111 Skin and Avant.) I’m a sucker for anything Christoph Robin and I’m even in love with the Floss lippie!

I was still riding the high from the February box… then I saw this one and I’m 100% ready to cancel again. I’ve gotten like 10 different 111 skin items from Ipsy, boxycharm, or birchbox and I’ve yet to try one that actually DOES anything. It’s clear the company only exists to add imaginary value to subscription boxes.

111 Skin is legit and pretty popular at Neiman Marcus. But they cheapen up the formula for these boxes so the products aren’t as effective.

I have a question about that U serum. Mine has absolutely no product info on the container itself. Not how to use, Not ingredients…nothing really, except to say to refer to the outer packaging for this info. But once I took it out of the packaging I disposed of the packaging. Like most people do, I’d think. It makes me wonder, is such a product permitted to be sold like this? Maybe this container was a mistake somehow? I’m just suspicious of it.

The 111 skin items I’ve received in Ipsy & boxy have been made in China not Europe like the usual 111skin items I’ve tried previously. It’s like they are cheapening the formulas or something! If you look at the ingredients there’s absolutely nothing revolutionary or unique that justifies the price, especially when they “dumb down the formulas”.
Wish allure would make skipping months easier. Cause this just box just isn’t worth it, I’m not going to use any of these products.

Hope, it’s actually quite easy to skip, I just did it a short while ago. You just call and tell them you want to skip March, resume in April. It only took me a few seconds to get that done.

So far these 3 work for me. I’d prefer the Bum Bum, since I already own two full-sized versions of that hand cream, but this can always be a purse one. While 111Skin is overpriced, I always love another Vitamin C serum. And I love shadow sticks on my late days, so a brown neutral is my fave. I always seem to get champagnes, which don’t really help me get ready quickly.

I don’t like the variations because there is always one product I would prefer over the other and it seems like I usually get the one I didn’t want as much, ugh! Will wait to see what the other products are, but strongly considering skipping this month.

Surprised by all the hate. These are good products and a nice variety – skin (face), body, makeup (and NOT another black eyeliner! Yay!). Full size of a very expensive serum. The Bum Bum and Ahava are not new but they are well-loved. I say thumbs up.

Well, the serum you will get is not the same they sell in stores.The one from allure is made in China. I noticed every time I get products from sub boxes made in china , when I compare the ingredients with the official websites ones it does not match. That’s why I do not use it. I will personally skip the march box, and I hope those of you who don’t check the ingredients list before you use it . I am not trying to be a hater I am just very careful with what I put on my face.

I think a lot of the disdain comes from the star item being something that many of us have gotten in other boxes already. It’s not exciting and I have 6 111skin products sitting in a drawer somewhere from the last five months. It’s over saturation. Beyond that it’s not the same product that you would buy in Nordstrom’s—it’s a cheap version with subpar ingredients made in China that they give to beauty boxes.

Robin, yes, annuals can still skip. What I learned when I called to skip March is that they technically just do a countdown on the # of boxes you have left. They just count one down for each month you get a box. So you can skip whenever you want and just use what boxes you have left when you want.

I was told I needed to call by the 3rd of the month to skip that particular month. If you plan to email them, I’d say back that up a few days in case they are backlogged on emails and don’t get to yours on the same day.

When would we have to email them by to skip this box? I’m on annual. So far it really looks like maybe the least interesting one since I started. It makes sense to extend the year instead.

Annuals can still skip, right?

I would love the box if it weren’t for the fact that I still have over half a bottle of the vitamin c powder so I don’t need more vitamin c and it’s not like I can just store the 111 skin and use it when I’m done with the powder since vitamin c is so unstable and goes bad fairly quick

You can store the rest of your powder and go back to it later, it’s stable as long as it doesn’t get wet

I love a dual ended shadow stick but I don’t think I can pull off those shades. I’m always up for trying a new vitamin c brightening booster and Ahava usually smells nice. Not an exciting box but I’ll wait another month to cancel. btw, the V&R nectar sample is extremely tiny – adorable, but doll house small.

I am so unimpressed with 111Skin and the overinflated price for a different formula. It makes me look at the entire brand poorly even if the other products are good. If the formula I’m trying isn’t all that special, and I can get affordable products of better quality, it just makes me feel like they’re pulling a con on me. I’d rather have solid brands, smaller sizes, and a lower price point. It felt like a great deal at $15, and a small price increase would have been okay/understandable if I was getting to try a lot of deluxe samples of things I might actually want to buy.

Where’s the fancy, new, special, exciting products they were promising for the price hike? These are been there done that mostly. snooze fest.

FYI, after initially refusing to answer the question, 111skin confirmed that the serum in the allure March 2021 box is made is China and not Europe like the products sold at retail…just as other commenters have predicted.

I’m super suspicious of the U beauty product, because the plastic container has NO info…no ingredients, no instructions for use…the only thing it says is to refer to the outer packaging for this info. But since the outer packaging (just a basic cardboard box) wasn’t anything special, I disposed of it. Like many people do! It makes me wonder if this batch were considered defective (the container, not necessarily the product) so they were willing to put them in a box. Can such a product even be sold in the US without any product or use info on the container? And it’s not like the container is too small to fit the info. It’s huge!

Both The U beauty and the Christophe robin hair mask were made in Italy. The floss lip advocate was made in China.

Wow! Thank you for sharing this! This is totally ridiculous… and definitely should not be allowed! Its like buying fake or a knock off purse. Its either not real OR they switched out some of the expensive ingredients for other/ cheaper ingredients. I was actually surprised to see this in this month’s box & THIS is exactly why! Easy skip!

I did not ask but it was like pulling teeth to get them to say that it was made in China. Based on their reluctance to disclose where it’s made, I wouldn’t put that stuff on my face

I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but I’d vastly prefer the hand cream. I’m going through so much right now with all the hand sanitizer and hand washing I’m doing.

I have the large of the hand cream as well as two of the ones that size. It lasts and works really well. I also have that brand and size in another scent that is even better. That’s the only thing I’m looking forward too from the box. Once my annual is up I’m cancelling. I refuse to pay nearly $25 for the stuff they keep putting in there. I agree with everyone else that the BumBum cream smells too strong. I ordered some in November’s popup on BC and ended up giving it to my oldest daughter because one whiff made my head start hurting.

You aren’t!! I want that hand cream. I lotion my hands up every night when I get in bed. Any moisturizer that isn’t a love for my face goes on my hands. So many people pamper their faces, but I can usually guess someone’s approximate age by looking at their hands!

I’m with you on the hand cream! I’m an essential worker who uses her hands for detailed tasks. My nails were tearing off after being weakened by all the alcohol. I’ve had to treat my hands with my more nourishing face creams to rehab them, as well as keeping them super short. Besides, I can’t stand the smell of Bum Bum!

You’re not alone. I go through a ton of hand cream in the winter and love samples for desk, purse, car, etc. Also, I seem to be the only one who can’t stand the Bum-Bum products.
