According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter is a time for restoration, not acceleration. For clearing, not accumulating. For stillness, not action. To be in balance with nature is to follow its rhythms, and despite what the New Year’s Revolutionists will tell you, the first months of the year are yin, not yang.
This month, we honor the timeless wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a consciously curated Discovery that supports a gentle, full body reset. YINA’s Recovery Body Treatment and Gua Sha Bian Stone work harmoniously to stimulate a gentle yet powerful rejuvenation that supports the body’s yin/yang balance for multidimensional healthy, vitality and longevity.

This was the kind of thing I’ve been waiting for to resub! I’m looking forward to the ritual.

I just used it. I really like it. Curious on if I notice long term effects

I feel like I’m not usually picky when it comes to skincare or makeup. With that said, the scent of this was INTENSE when I opened it. I didn’t want to touch it without knowing that the scent would disappear immediately. Has anyone else noticed the scent?

Lydea
It definitely persists.

Thank you! I’ll pass out along to my mom, if she can get around the scent.
I subscribed to a year of Beauty Heroes a few months back. My first month was the clay jar of pricey cream. Mine pills on my skin no matter how little I use and so I’m now using it on my feet.
I loved January’s and felt like multiple products have me a better shot at liking something
February’s cream has a scent that is very polarizing.
We shall see what March brings.
Gloria
Update:
Tried mine yesterday! Love the cream so much that I activated my 2nd subscription so I could get another one.
Before seeing the spoilers I was hoping to get the bluh alchemy oil. Well this cream smells similar and much prefer the texture of the cream than the oil. I don’t know anything about science. I do enjoy the smell and the buttery and warming feel the cream has in my body.
I’ve splurge on body products from British brands, depending how much it lasts I might repurchase this again. Im hoping my second order process. I gave a mini massage with the gua sha to my boyfriend and he loved it as well since sometimes the Theragun is a bit too much.
Overall, I was not thrilled with the spoilers but once I tried it I order another one! Here’s hoping for no masks in March (-:

I think there is definitely something wrong with mine. Bummer! It is really nice as far as smell and warming as it melts, but mine is like a bowl of mini pebbles. It wouldn’t be bad, but because of the texture it goes all over the place when I try to use it. I may contact BH.

Their customer service is amazing! BTW mine had no pebbled.
Pd. I could have really used that gold spoon to scoop it out. Hopefully you are able to get a replacement.
Kristin
I just used tonight and mine has the little pebbles too that got everywhere because it is hard to get them to dissolve when applying!
Ragan Buckley
Yeah, that does not sound right. I would contact them.
Lydea
Can you tell me about the texture of your balm? Mine is very LUMPY which I would not have expected. I love the balm itself, the smell and once it is rubbed in, but the texture. I am wondering if it is due to the cold, or is defective.

Gloria
I agree with Ragan. It feels like a “harf balm” but delightfully melts into the skin.
Im not familiar with the texture of body butters. In terms of comparison… the texture is a little bit “harder” than the balm that arrived in the December boxwalla box. So… maybe yes.. Lumpy. I was also expecting to be more creamy. Little product goes a long way. *Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
Ragan
Mine was not lumpy but it was kind of hard (“balm” is a better word than “lotion” or “butter” for this item, for sure). Although I have reason to believe it was exposed to cold (my husband received a metal woodworking tool in the mail the same day that was ice cold to the touch and coated with oil to prevent rust, where the oil had congealed due to temperature), I didn’t notice any texture changes as a result. It did soften to more of an oil texture once applied, but the consistency was even throughout.

Not bothering with the whole “ritual” (who has the time?) and not into the pseudoscience regarding all the minerals in the gua sha but I figured I could at least try this on my knees, which sometimes hurt and have the beginnings of spider veins. (I have somehow managed to avoid getting a gua sha before now?) We will see if it helps with anything.

Tip for the Gua Sha- take it with you to your next body work/massage/physical therapy session. They can work wonders with them (if your practitioner knows how to properly use one). It helps me with inflammation, especially in my legs (I am on my feet all day walking dogs and they can get swollen sometimes)

I would love if the golden spoon is included! I dont own any gua sha. I’ve been wanting one form MZ skin and Im stalking Mintd to see if the box that has it goes in an amazing sale.
I like that I will try the trend of the gua sha and then decide if to buy the one I really want. Regarding the body cream I like it. Im not thrilled about the shipment, but Im happy for the variety. I very much prefer this than a face mask.
I plan to re-sub on March, unless the spoilers are a mask, that is the only product I have to much and would result on my skipping the re-sub for 3 months.

Sorry there wasn’t a gold spoon!

Just got mine! I like it! Maybe I got super spoiled with Beauty heroes in the past 4 months. I’m happy that is something different.
I wish we would have gotten a mini bath salts or a candle, but given the price I paid in the 3 month sub time December to February I feel I got more than my money’s worth (the ayuna cream and for glow lip serum have worked wonderful for me)!
Mary
Whew! I’m glad I took a short pause on this subscription. While it is not something I would choose, I trust BH that it is a lovely product.

I am going to reserve judgement until I try it. That being said, I am not especially excited. The tool looks a little bigger than the standard Gua sha. Maybe it will do wonders on my legs? I can’t wait to see the reviews. Mine is in the mail today so I will try it tonight.
I was kind of hoping this month would include Lovinah- pretty and Red for Valentine’s Day.

The gua sha is meant to be bigger as it’s for your body and not face.
Reply
Kristin
It’s almost as big as my hand. I can’t imagine spending the 30 minutes suggested to do this routine.
Lauren
Me too! Everything I’ve tried from Lovinah so far is divine!
I feel the same way about this box. Not at all excited but, open-minded. I would not pay $125 for what is essentially body lotion, so if this is fantastic, it’ll be a treat. If it’s not that great, I wasn’t going to repurchase at that price point anyway so nothing lost. I definitely would’ve preferred a second product to a gua sha, but I’m willing to give it a try.
Still hoping for that Lovinah box though…

Really not sure how I feel about the box this month. I wouldn’t normally pay $125 for a body treatment so this is a treat for sure. But, if I like it… I’m not going to buy it again because I’m not spending $125 on an at-home body treatment! lol *Maybe* In my pre-COVID life, but $125 for (basically) a body lotion is not in my post-COVID budget.
The gua sha stone isn’t very exciting. I would’ve much preferred a second product with a lower price point.
I’m on a 6-mo sub and I’m not unhappy to get this one, it’s just not nearly as thrilling as some of the others have been.

Or, you could just grab any solid item in your house (spoon? Jar? Your phone?) and rub it on your face for free. Same effect.

I have to agree. Beauty Heroes is one of my favorite subs, but I feel like this box is a year+ behind the trend.
Nat
I don’t have any and I don’t want any
Carrie
I mean, I enjoy a nice facial massage to relieve my migraines here and there, but I can’t help but feel this box is getting a little weird in the value department. I’d be pretty upset if I’d paid $60 for a body butter, personally. I hope the subscribers feel differently.
