"Lady Tiger" Postcard by Megan Massacre
The two tiger prints featured this month are meant to be partners. They are each designed to complement the other. The designs are bold and classic and this lady tiger is totally fierce. I am so obsessed with the bright colors, they're feminine while still being strong. I am going to use this postcard to send a note to my best friend that I haven't seen in over a year.

"Skull" T-Shirt by Megan Massacre
This tattoo-style skull is hand-drawn by Megan herself. It ties in her tattoo shop as well, Grit N Glory in New York. The shirt fits me perfectly, but I will say the fabric quality is pretty thin and see-through. I was wearing this around the house the other day and my son Fox asked if he could have it. He is really into wearing our shirts for bed or on the weekends at home. He is really into skulls so I decided to pass this awesome design along to him!

"Tiger" Canvas by Megan Massacre
Here is the male tiger from the set of partners. We met the lady tiger in the postcard above. This design by Megan pulls from her tattoo style and is just so packed with beautiful colors. This is another item that my son asked if he could put in his room. He has actually started a pretty cool canvas print collection from this box! The tiger is now sitting pretty on his dresser, hopefully working to keep bad dreams away.

Coloring Cards by Megan Massacre
These are tattoo-inspired cards that were hand-drawn by Megan. The cards are thick and sturdy, perfect to frame and display. They recommend using colored pencils or markers on these designs. My son is our little artist, he truly zones out when he is coloring and creating. I showed these to him and he asked if he could color them, sitting at his art table right away to get to work. You can see his finished coloring above – he used markers and crayons. These drawings are so detailed and unique, perfect for any art or tattoo lover. These are proudly being displayed in my husband's office and one in my son's room.

Tiny Bandit Candle in Amber + Lavender featuring a design by Megan Massacre
This candle is amazing! I was so surprised to see the dainty crystals inside, they are gorgeous. I browsed the Tiny Bandit site and was blown away by some of the candle designs they have, some with pretty large crystals inside. These candles are poured by hand in California with a 100% natural coconut wax blend along with pure essential oils, fragrance oils, and cotton wicks. This candle was selected because of Megan's love of lavender and it even has her custom design as the sticker on the outside of the candle tin making it that much more special. The candle smelled so fresh and lovely, filling my entire downstairs and burning so well. This is my favorite item this month!

Hustle Butter CBD Luxe, 5 fl oz. - Retail Value $49.99
My husband had a big jar of Hustle Butter like this back when we first started dating, back when he used to get tattoos pretty often. He was really excited to see this item this month, especially since his skin is in a bad way from winter dryness. This blend contains 500 mg of pure CBD with no THC and works as an anti-inflammatory, skin calming, and muscle-comforting cream. This is ultra-hydrating and is already working to help my husband's dry skin. It goes on a bit greasy, so a little can go a long way, but it does drink in quickly.

I really appreciate that this box sends so many tattoo care balms. My husband and I both have tattoos that just didn't heal well or haven't aged well based on the products and care we gave to them when they were brand new. So having quality tattoo care is so important. This blend is an all-natural skin cell recovery salve that was developed specifically for tattoos. It also provides pain relief which is really cool! I remember the first night that I got my first underarm tattoo and being up most of the night from the burning. It also works on current tattoos to keep them healthy and vibrant. My very first tattoo is starting to fade so I've been using this balm on it to see if it will help bring some of the beautiful colors back.
Verdict: This month's Marked by Inked box is my favorite to date! The featured artist, Megan Massacre, has a tattoo style that I really gravitate towards. I truly enjoyed learning about her and browsing her Instagram. What I really loved about this box was that there were so many items that were developed by Megan herself. It really made the box feel unique, special, and very art-focused. The coloring cards were a fun surprise and kept my art-loving son, Fox occupied and left him feeling so proud of his new artwork. The candle was gorgeous and smelled just as lovely as the tin it came in, filling my house for days with that lovely clean lavender scent. Among all of the hand-drawn pieces of art were two skincare products focusing on hydrating dry winter skin and tattoo care. My husband is truly itching to get a new tattoo so maybe getting this organic balm with natural pain reliever will get him in the direction of scheduling his next tattoo appointment. This month's box was hard to assign a retail value to since so many of the pieces are unique art designs, but each of the 7 items in the box has an average cost of $6.77, a wonderful value in my opinion. This box truly is a tattoo and art lovers' dream, making it perfect for us, but would also make an amazing gift!
