mintMONGOOSE January 2021 Review
When you sign up there are a few customization options. You can choose your jewelry tone and whether to have earrings included or not. I opted for Surprise Me! and said yes to earrings. One notable thing about the jewelry is that each piece comes with a lifetime warranty, too!
If ANYTHING, ever goes wrong with our pieces, we will replace them. Our pieces are designed to last for years with the proper care. We don’t short on quality, and as a result, we feel confident enough in our pieces to offer this lifetime warranty on our pieces – something you won’t find elsewhere.
FYI - While I did sign up for "Surprise Me!" so far I have only received silver pieces! Just something to keep in mind! Subscribers have mentioned that it is simple to change your metals each month, though.
The packaging was so cute with a wax seal on the envelope and some cute little tags on each wrapped piece of jewelry. The piece of candy was a nice little bonus!

We also received this microfiber cleaning cloth to help keep our jewelry nice and shiny along with a card featuring some care instructions.

This last card describes our pieces this month. This subscription is a woman/mom-owned small business and each set has an inspiration behind it which they share on the back of this card. This month's set is in honor of the curator's grandparents which I think is an incredibly sweet sentiment!

Oval Rope Earrings
These earrings are just so dainty and cute! The rope design, which is meant to symbolize strength, reminds me of vintage jewelry with all of that fine detail, which I think is further emphasized by the silver-tone of the metal. These earrings actually do remind me a lot of my own grandmother (who recently passed), and these are kind of my own sweet reminder of her. She wore a lot of silver pieces and a lot of them had a similar rope shape around the jewels and pendants. I also love that these are so tiny which means they can really be worn with anything, even my current wardrobe which tends to be more casual.

Blue Wisp Pendant Necklace
This necklace is really cool and unique. The oval shape is encircled by a similar rope design as our earrings and there are these black wisps throughout the pendant which look different on either side. The oval itself is a good inch so it's definitely a statement piece that will stand out. It's also one of those shapes that just begs to be held and played with, so I could see this being a nice necklace to wear for calming anxiety.

Here I have it on one of the shorter settings (I could have made it into a choker since it goes so small) and then on a longer setting in the second photo. At its shortest, it measures about 16 inches and goes up to just under 21 inches.

Sunflower Pendant Necklace
This last piece is just sweet and simple. I like the long chain and the tiny sunflower detail. This is another casual piece that I feel like I can wear any time. I am currently wearing it with a sweatshirt and it looks just as cute as it would with a nicer top! While I know this necklace might not be for everyone, I think that it's kind of a classic and again it has that vintage feel to it for me, and I will always think sunflowers are pretty.

Here I have it on one of the medium lengths and then at its longest in the second photo, which is just under 29 inches. If I wear it on the shortest setting, which is 24 inches, it sits right at my cleavage, so I'll probably keep it a bit longer!
Here you can see all of the pieces together. I think the necklaces look nice layered and I love how that oval shape is repeated!
The Verdict: I enjoyed the pieces in this month's MintMOONGOOSE collection, and especially loved the sentimental inspiration. While I was kind of hoping to see some of their jewelry in another metal tone after having only received silver so far, I'm actually kind of glad that I received this set in silver. It gives these pieces more of a classic, vintage feel, and it certainly reminds me of my grandmother who mostly wore silver. I think the earrings are so cute and the sunflower necklace is pretty enough to wear any time. I don't see myself wearing the blue pendant as much, but I think with just the right outfit it would be a standout piece!
