Society Socks Men's Review February 2021
Society Socks always comes with a card. It typically informs subscribers of charities it supports. This month they are asking for feedback. Subscribers can answer a few questions and receive a free pair of socks.
As for the socks, each month, subscribers receive two pairs of socks each featuring Society Socks' own designs. Usually, one pair will have a quirkier design and the other will be more abstract. All Society Socks pairs are made with a cotton, nylon, and spandex blend. There's no extra cushioning on the sole, so they're more like formal socks in that regard. The socks come up around 2/3 to my knee. I am 5'9".
Colored Brush Stroke Socks, Estimated Value $12.00 (based on similar socks)
Just like last month, these socks have an 80s feel to them. Like if Cindy Lauper was a pair of socks. They are a light blue sock with dark blue accents at the top, heel, and toe. The socks are covered in what look like brush strokes of red, green, pink, and yellow. They are very rad. I could be wrong, but these may be the first pair of Society Socks I've received whose design isn't repetitive. Even though the socks are the same, the design seems kind of random. They look a bit bold for my taste, but I really like them. So I may have to expand what I consider too bold.
Penguins Socks, Estimated Value $12.00 (based on similar socks)
I'm a big fan of these socks because penguins are one of my favorite animals. I mean, just look at them. I also really like the blue of the sock. There are light blue accents at the top, heel, and toe. Little penguins are seen floating around on slabs of ice. It's hard not to notice that are is not much ice to get around on. Perhaps there is an underlying social statement pertaining to the diminishing ice around the penguins? If so, I appreciate the statement and hope wearing these will make others notice it too.
Verdict: This is one of my favorite sets of Society Socks I've received. Both pairs were playful and fun, even if the penguin one had an underlying depressing message. Rightly so. I have been reviewing this sub for more than a year now, and I am overwhelmed with socks to wear. There has rarely been a miss for me, and I can be pretty picky. I appreciate the quirkiness of the designs and their social support. If you or someone you know is into fun, playful, socially-conscious socks, this is a great subscription. It'd also be great for someone who works somewhere with a dress code and wants to flash a little personality with their socks. Plus, as I've said before, if a pair is ever not your style, there is likely someone in your life who's style they would fit and they make a great gift.
Note: Recently, the socks received in this subscription have not shown up in Society Socks's store. Perhaps they will be there in the future. Until then, there are still many pairs to choose from. Some are marked down, so check them out.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? All deliveries vary, so you are not guaranteed the same socks as what you see here.

Value Breakdown: These two pairs of socks cost $19 with FREE shipping, meaning each pair is about $9.50. Most, if not all, of the socks that subscribers receive, can be purchased directly from Society Socks. Most are $12.00, but some are on sale for $9.00. However, there IS shipping if you do it this way. I did a quick check for Pennsylvania, and it was 3 extra dollars. So you're saving $8.00 by having the subscription, which is a decent savings. A subscription like this, in my opinion, is for people who were going to buy socks like this anyway. You have it delivered to your door, it's a little surprise, and you save some money. Otherwise, if you're concerned about getting socks you don't like, it may be best for you to purchase only the pairs you like directly from their site. You'll just have to pay a little more per pair.
