My Ipsy Glam Bag March 2021 Review

Included is a card that usually details each of the items but also outlines beauty tips and tricks.

Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month's theme is "Stronger Together," and the bag is PERFECT. I love the message of unity that the four diverse girls holding hands brings and the cute saying inside the bag, "Confidence comes from within," is the icing on the cake.

BENEFIT COSMETICS They're Real Magnet Mascara, 3 g - Estimated Value $9.00 (Buy a full-size 9.0 g for $27.00)

I get a lot of mascaras from Ipsy, and usually, I'm like, "Oh, a mascara, that's great, I guess..." But this Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Magnet Mascara creates some sky-high lashes. Eyelash curler, who needs it? I would definitely recommend this mascara line from Benefit Cosmetics to anyone looking for a dramatic lashes. The formula is buildable with very few clumps. It stays put - no smudging, even on the lower lashes. After applying, my lashes stayed high and defined for about eight hours before deflating a little. Two coats, and my eyes were popping with a noticeable difference in length. The applicator has short plastic bristles in a custom zigzag design at the top of the wand, which help strategically fan out, separate, and define lashes. I would definitely put this product in the "win" column - a long-lasting, lengthening, and volumizing mascara!

DIONIS Vanilla Bean Goat Milk Hand Cream, 1 oz - Estimated Value $3.03 (Buy a full-size 3.3 oz for $10.00)

Lusciously creamy and deliciously scented, this Dionis Vanilla Bean Goat Milk Hand Cream is the perfect go-to after I've washed my hands so many times throughout the day. I absolutely hate when a hand cream leaves behind that greasy feeling and transfers onto everything I touch, but this cream absorbs quickly, without leaving behind a greasy film, and keeps my hands feeling soft and moisturized. The scent is like a delicious vanilla sugar cookie or a freshly baked vanilla pound cake. It's not helping me with my diet goals, but it's quite a pleasant smell. Formulated with goat milk and paraben and cruelty free, this non-greasy hand cream nourishes, conditions, and leaves skin feeling moisturized.

CIATÉ LONDON Fruit Burst Lip Oil in Mango & Lime, 5 ml - Estimated Value $8.00 (Buy a full-size 10 ml for $16.00)

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm a huge fan of lip products, specifically lip oil, and Ciaté London's lip oils are my FAVE. The scent of this Ciaté London Fruit Burst Lip in Mango & Lime is truly divine - a wonderfully sweet and refreshing flavor with a bright tropical scent. Formulated with a nourishing blend of mango seed butter, jojoba seed oil, avocado oil, lime oil, and vitamin E, this hydrating lip oil is bursting with essential fatty acids and antioxidants, and leaves my lips soft and kissable with a beautiful, glossy shine. This product has zero stickiness and absorbs into the delicate skin on my lips. It's also vegan and gluten free.

CLEARLY BALANCED DAYS It's The (Lip) Balm With CBD in Peppermint, 15 fl oz - Full Size! Retail Value $8.00

Clearly Balanced Days It's the (Lip) Balm with CBD in Peppermint is a protective, nourishing balm infused with peppermint essential oil and 25mg of restorative CBD. I'm always looking for ways to keep my dry, chapped lips hydrated, and I found this lip balm to be incredibly moisturizing. After application, my lips felt smooth and soft, with zero stickiness. The balm has a very strong medicinal peppermint scent, so keep that in mind if you're looking to purchase. It's definitely something some people with love and others might not enjoy.

BELLE EN ARGENT 8 Free Nail Polish in Like A Grape, 10 ml - Full Size! Retail Value $13.00

If you're looking for a bright punch of color to ring in the summer, look no further. This Belle en Argent 8 Free Nail Polish in Like a Grape is a bright, super sweet purple berry nail polish. With a luxe clean formula, this polish is devoid of many toxic chemicals that are found in traditional nail polish. It's also vegan and cruelty free. I found this polish easy to apply. It went on smoothly with the extra wide brush and was almost opaque. Two coats was all I needed. The polish is long-lasting, basically salon quality, and took almost a week to chip. Definitely a good quality polish.

Verdict: I liked the variety of products in this month’s Ipsy Glam Bag. I did receive two lip products - the Ciaté London Lip Oil and the Lip Balm with CBD - which is fine by me because I am obsessed with lip products. I also really enjoyed the bright purple of the Belle en Argent Nail Polish. I love the wide brush applicator and the salon quality of the brand. The Benefit Cosmetics Mascara was exciting because it's a new launch from Benefit. This mascara is definitely my favorite of theirs to-date. Lastly, I received the Dionis Hand Cream. I love the rich, warm vanilla bean scent and the quick absorbing hydration the product supplies. With a retail value of $41.03 on a $12.00 bag, the Ipsy Glam Bag curated a wide range of quality products for me this month.

Ipsy emailed me to let me know that due to shipping issues, I will not be getting my March glam bag or my add-ons. I used points to add-on a lip liner and those points weren’t reimbursed. They added 200 points for the inconvenience. This was super disappointing and I do not like the way this was handled. Shame on Ipsy.

I had the same issue with them. I contacted them on 3/29 to find out where my bag was. Ipsy responded and said my bag had shipped on 3/19 but they couldn’t give me a tracking number, and said if i had recieved it within 15 business days to reach out again. Then four days later I get an email stating due to problems with the distributor they could not ship my bag and will not be able to replace it. I used points for an eyeshadow that have not be reimbursed but they did say they would give me 200 points for the inconvenience.

I finally received my March glam bag yesterday but I noticed that the Ciate London lip oil in Lychee & Açaí that I purchased as an add on was missing. I emailed Ipsy and they are usually good about sending replacements. I had on add on item missing last month as well. Something is definitely going on at there warehouse.

I’m glad I’m not the only person who’s noticed this! Five out of my last six bags have been opened or missing items. Super annoying. It’s never happened before the past few months, to me at least. I wonder what’s up and how common it is.

For a long time I’ve had more months where things were wrong rather than right. Several times I didnt even bother reporting it just because I didn’t want the hassle. The month were the Plus had the Vitamin C serum (can’t remember the name) they had offered it as a points redemption, which I redeemed, and then got one in my plus. When it shipped, they only sent one. I emailed about the mistake only to have them tell me that there records showed they had sent it….I was like yeah, i got one, I was supposed to get two lol…they just weren’t hearing me. I canceled because I’m just sick of having to contact ipsy care. Maybe when they get it together again, but right now it wasnt worth the additional frustration for me.

Just got my bag today, latest arrival since I started quite awhile ago!! NOT 1 of my 5 items were what I was due to get. My 2 add ons were correct, so someone definitely took the time to get that part correct. Very disappointed this month. ZERO stars for lateness and accuracy of my bag 🙁

My bag finally arrived today after two weeks in transit. All items were there. However, with add-ons I bought the Kosas tinted face oil in tone 1. I received tone 9.5! I’ve emailed Ipsy, awaiting response, but I’m sure it’s sold out. It seems this month was terrible for a lot of people.

I have already heard back from Ipsy care that they are sending a replacement bag for my 5 missing items within 15 business days!! That response was very quick!!

The comments are making me nervous. I was with plus for a year and switched to just the regular bag while I claw through using up my stash. To see so many people on one site with shipping issues , I hope this doesn’t carry into April or I will cancel as well.

Yeah there are sometimes issues but if you have any issues I suggest tweeting at @ipsy and @ipsycare that works better then calling or emailing in my experience. I get an answer within 24 to 48hrs.

My March glam bag has yet to ship! I tried to reach out to customer service, but they no longer have a phone number. I emailed them and got an automated response. I’m fairly upset with them at this point.

Ewww that is awful Bebe, I had an issue this month too. I suggest tweeting at @ipsy and @ipsycare that works better then calling or emailing in my experience. I get an answer within 24 to 48hrs.

Mine hasn’t shipped yet either. Glad I canceled.

I haven’t gotten my March bag yet. It finally shipped a week ago and seems to have disappeared about a day after it shipped. Most of what’s in the bag are products I don’t use like liquid eyeliner that I’ve gotten many times already so I’m not too disappointed it hasn’t arrived yet.

I really like the watermelon Ciate London and would love to try this flavor. Sounds delightful.

Yesss! Hands down my fave in this bag, it smells soooo good.

I am supposed to receive the same two lip products you got but mine has not shipped yet, plus my last month’s bag is lost in the mail. They need to get a new shipper for Ipsy.

My March bag hasn’t shipped. I don’t care about most of my products except the Milk lip and blush cream. It’s also frustrating because after a certain point in the month, I can’t see my bag status on the timeline or in my account

Frustrated with Ipsy. They are refusing to tell me anything about the Glow on 5th or Sophia + Mabelle brands. They just refer me back to their brand websites (which have no information about CEOs, founders, etc, no mailing address, no phone number).

No accountability at all about the sketchy brands they are sending. (And that’s not even getting into the whole Nicole Wademan-Emanuela Defalco drama….)

I just looked up the websites for the first two “brands” you listed…super sketch. I feel sure they’re “fronts”. And the address listed for “Glow on 5th” (actually NAMED after the iconic Avenue where it’s supposedly located)? It’s just a rented virtual office space. Also sketch is that you can’t get any actual answers from Ipsy.

How can any sub box claim to be “curated” when they’re including products like this? I think I’m going to start unsubbing boxes that send me this crap, or otherwise poor quality products. New Beauty Test Tube is the first to get the ax from me.

I haven’t received my March bag yet! I am so excited for my add ons but probably won’t receive them now. My bag has been sitting in DHL purgatory for 8+ days. According to Ipsy’s new policy, I cannot contact them about it until April 2. 😡🤬. The more frustrating part is that the NC distribution center is 18 minutes away from my house. 🙄

So unhappy with Ipsy this month. I got nothing that was supposed to be in my bag. Instead I got all items I have given bad reviews for. I guess someone decided to punish me LOL. Luckily I emailed Ipsycare and they are sending what was promised.

I completely agree about that mascara. I usually only use Thrive mascara but this one comes in a close second. Your review was spot on. It stays put all day (and is actually a little tough getting off at night). Makes my lashes stand out. Love this mascara!

That mascara was a bit of a disappointment for me, especially since I love the original They’re Real, but I do see it’s getting mostly good reviews. I’m going to give it another try.
I got that nail polish, too. Very cool! 🙂

The nail color looks so pretty against your skin! I’m always looking for flattering shades like that. Thanks for the review!
