Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson, which includes a plus-size line of their fashionable workout gear! You can shop their line in two different ways—either you can shop through their regular store or sign up as a VIP member. The VIP Membership works like this:
- Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
- Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $24.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
- Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
- As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.
Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your cart or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call Fabletics customer service to do so.

Fabletics Plus Size January 2021 Review
I had two separate orders this month that I reviewed (long story that I will get into!) but first, onto the review, we go!
Starting with our first order which included the Your Time To Shine outfit.

As soon as I laid eyes on this set, I knew I had to purchase it! It was a must! Imagine, though, how sad I was when the workout ensemble I ordered in a heartbeat seemed to be lost in the mail. Yes, I almost didn't get this outfit to review for you guys! The outfit seemed to be missing and I had to call Fabletics twice to straighten out the matter. Sadly, the outfit was sold out by my second call, so they credited the account and I ordered a replacement set to review for you guys. However, a week or two later, the outfit arrived at our office-- so we had a happy ending. I want to give Fabletics and their customer support a big shout-out on how they handled this matter. When I initially saw my friend Alysse of ReadyToStare in this, I knew I made the right choice in ordering the Your Time to Shine set. I absolutely love the iridescent rainbow shine, it reminds me of a gasoline puddle in a parking lot after a rainstorm. I feel like a human prism sparkling in the light! The beige/taupe color is not my favorite, but the way this material shines in the light makes up for that in my mind! The sports bra fits great, though the piping detail that is meant to frame my chest is a bit hidden by said ample chest. The medium-impact style gives my buxom figure a great deal of support and comfort. High impact is my go-to, but medium definitely does the job and holds me in while on the treadmill, so no complaints!

High-Waisted Iridescent Luxe 7/8 Leggings, Size 3x — Retail Value $79.95 (VIP Price $54.95)
These leggings have loads of stretch and are incredibly well made, but that is no surprise-- everything I get from Fabletics is such high quality! Sadly, the leggings to this set are completely sold out, but the sports bra is still available. I truly hope they revisit this style in different shades because it was such a hit! Wouldn't it be fantastic in black, white, or even a pastel pink shade? This particular set sold out almost immediately and for obvious reason-- it is stunning!

Emilia Top in Red Hot, Size 3x — Retail Value $64.95 (VIP Price $49.95) or buy as a set for $124.90 (VIP Price $64.95)
I don't have many cold-weather pieces from Fabletics, so I decided this would be perfect especially for early spring if I go on walks with my cousin outside. The material on this top is incredibly stretchy. I was concerned the 3x might not fit, but it actually is really long as well and doesn't have the crop fit on me like it did on the models featured on the site. It does provide some compression as well. I am sure one could wear it in place of a sports bra, but I wasn't brave enough to give that a go since I need all the support I can get! Sad to say, the top is sold out in this color but available in blue and black on the site. The black version could go with essentially any leggings you select, so that would be the best buy of the two!

High-Waisted SculptKnit Legging in Persimmon, Size 3x — Retail Value $59.95 (VIP Price $44.95)
If you are looking for the best compression in your leggings, I would suggest the SculptKnit style. The material is less like the sleek spandex material a lot of the Fabletics leggings are made from. This material is more matte and coarser in texture. When I got these leggings I didn't think there was any way in heck that I would get them on my body. They looked so tiny. However, with some effort, I got these on and was rather impressed with the fit. These leggings have loads of stretch and are comfortable to wear! I am a fan of the thicker waistband and the high waist because I feel completely held and protected in the front and behind. I would easily wear these at the gym or running errands just the same. Unfortunately, almost all the sizes are sold out in the leggings.

Oasis Twist Front Bra in Sky Purple, Size 3x-- Retail Value $49.95 (VIP Price $39.95)
I hit the Fabletics site at the right time because I managed to score the Red Hot outfit for 50% off and this amazing sports bra for 65%! I was so excited to get this particular shade because it is a pastel and fairly close to my pale skin color. I will be straightforward with you all-- bras have become rather obsolete for me during the Pandemic. I was never the type to take my bra off when I walked through the door-- if anything I would sleep in my bra because I felt uncomfortable without it! I know, I was an anomaly! People would look at me stunned when I said I preferred sleeping in my bra! Since Big Rona rolled up and I now work from home for both of my jobs, I rarely wear a bra! I only wear them if I am taking pictures for reviews or leaving my house. Even then, I hate wearing my bra to the grocery store and have found this particular sports bra to be my favorite to wear. I have it in a tie-dye style I reviewed in November as well as a black version back in my August review last year! Since then, Fabletics has offered even more colors in this bra-- and I want every single version! This bra is so comfortable and I love the sexy little twist and peephole in the front. If you too have a relationship with bras that has been forever changed by the pandemic like me-- I strongly suggest this bra to you!
Verdict: This month's Fabletics selections were EVERYTHING! Sure, we started off a bit rocky when the Your Time to Shine set was M.I.A. However, it proved that Fabletics offers some awesome customer service! They credited the missing outfit and treated me incredibly well. I am so glad we ended up receiving the outfit though because it is phenomenal! I also like the pieces I selected to potentially replace the set. The Red Hot outfit provides amazing compression and comfort and we all know how obsessed I am with the Oasis Twist Front bra! Fabletics rarely if ever disappoints! First of all, every piece I own from them is incredibly well made and designed. I have been reviewing this subscription for years and the quality just keeps improving along with the designs and size options! I say this time and time again, but I hope they continue to broaden their size range and offer 5x and 6x as well as the 4x they carry. I also love to see the plus size ambassadors they select ranging from ReadyToStare's Alysse, NatalieMeansNice's Natalie, GlitterandLazers' Anna, and Tess Holiday to name a few. Keep up the good work, Fabletics-- don't lose that momentum! Visibility is so crucial and having workout and lounge clothing available for larger-bodied babes is important! For this and all their major sales, they offer frequently, I am constantly raving to friends and suggest Fabletics to them-- and I am here too in this review to all of you! I loved the selections this go around, are you as eager as I am to see what is in store for us next month?

Value Breakdown: The Your Time to Shine and Red Hot outfits along with the Oasis Tie Front bra retail for $324.75, but after the VIP discount and sale promos I spent a total of $116.40! That means I saved a grand total of $208.35 which is roughly a 64% savings! What a fantastic value!
