Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that formerly catered to plus sizes only, but is now far more inclusive offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like that are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items in your virtual closet are sent to you at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!
Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy steeply discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!

Gwynnie Bee January 2021 Review
This review is for each of the three-at-a-time items:
Chiffon Dot Dress by Betsey Johnson, Size 20W — Cost to Keep $85.50
I am a big fan of Betsey Johnson, so any time I see her pieces available in plus sizes-- it is a must-try! Ironically, this dress was also sent to me for my upcoming Dia & Co review, but in a size 22w! My body has changed during the pandemic and I am eager to see which size fits me better! I was concerned about the chiffon material since it has limited stretch. Surprisingly, this piece did fit me in the 20, but it was a bit snugger than I would prefer. I wasn't going to She-Hulk out of this dress, but the arms could have been looser. I am eager to try the 22 to give you a better idea of the sizing, a "to be continued" moment if you will!
Aside from fit, let's talk about how cute this piece is! I love the see-through material-- it adds a flirty vibe to an otherwise modest dress! Honestly, how perfect is this for a first (or 100th) date? I know right now we are limited on places we can go outside of the cafes in our abodes, but imagine wearing this in a restaurant for a dreamy night of dinner and dancing! I styled this piece how I would wear it in an office setting with simple black flats but imagine this with a gorgeous faux fur coat, over-sized round glasses, and platform wedges for a 70s look that would be to die for! Or to go full Betsey, drape yourself with rhinestone and rose baubles to bring a pop of color against this classic polka dot print!
Side Tie Striped Jersey Dress by London Times, Size 2x — Cost to Keep $8.00
If you have been reading my reviews over the years, you know bold prints never scare me away. My photographer (aka my dad) actually complimented this dress and said it looked nice on me. He is a tough critic, so I will take that as a big compliment! I love the hunter green and navy against the bold and bright orange and hot pink in this dress. It has such a retro vibe with the color palette and vertical stripes but is thoroughly modern with the side tie and upside-down V-like formation of the lower front stripes. I opted to bring out the two colors I love most by wearing big orange hoops and metallic pink Dawn Davenport approved cha-cha heels! I feel so kitschy and chic all at once in this number! You can also easily style this for colder weather with black tights and ankle booties as well as a pea coat or coatigan!
Did I also mention this dress is a mere $8? Per the Gwynnie Bee site, that is 91% off of the retail price! Just another perk of being a member of Gwynnie Bee's, I tell ya!
Ruffle Detail Surplice Dress by Andree by Unit, Size 2x — Cost to Keep $54.50
Finally, we have the last dress, another polka dot dress. Unlike the Betsey Johnson one, I definitely needed to size up in this one by Andree by Unit. The chest and arms were tight on me, but I was also concerned I would be showing my neighbors a full moon in the daylight if you know what I mean! Certainly, a pair of tights might have remedied that issue somewhat, but ultimately a 3x would have provided me far more comfort and security.
On the bright side, this dress is pretty cute! I love the ruffle details-- they add a romantic touch! This dress would look fantastic with a cardigan in a bright shade like mustard yellow or hot pink, patterned fishnet tights, and platform heels. You can also go more subdued with the styling and wear this with a faux leather black biker jacket, a beret, cat-eye sunglasses, tights, and some ankle booties for a classically hip look! You would be the belle of the coffee shop in an ensemble like that!
Verdict:
In last month's review, I spoke of the delays I faced with my Gwynnie Bee box. This month, we seem to be right on track! I got three beautiful dresses that can be worn all year round depending on how they are styled. You know I love a versatile piece-- you can get multiple looks for the price of one!
Speaking of killer deals, I am still not over that London Times dress being $8! That is the beauty of Gwynnie Bee: because all of the pieces on their site are pre-worn rentals, they can go on deep discount! I have purchased dresses for $5 that have been shipped to me in the subscription itself, but I also have found amazing savings via the Gwynnie Bee Outlet shop! If you are looking for some phenomenal, but affordable pieces-- it is worth your while to check out their members-only outlet space! I also love that Gwynnie Bee often has sales on at-home pieces and has a rewards program that you can apply credits to as well. During the pandemic, they have frequently offered major slashes in prices on the at-home items. So, if you have a piece you haven't returned yet that you have been debating keeping, you might be able to get them for an even lesser price!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! All three pieces are available to rent.

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95.00 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $148, which is $53 more than my monthly plan! Not too shabby! However, imagine the even greater value had I sent these pieces back sooner and received additional pieces!Gwynnie Bee Plus Size Clothing Box Review + 50% Off Coupon
