Facetory Artemisia Refreshing Relief Facial Sheet Mask - Retail Value $3.00
I have a few breakouts that started once I received this mask so I was really excited to give it a try. This mask is made with Artemisia vulgaris extract to calm redness and irritation along with Centella Asiatica extract to calm, heal, and balance your skin. The mask fit me really well and had a lot of extra serum on it, which I love because I can rub all of the excesses in after removing the mask. It had a really strong minty scent to it that made my skin tingle and feel cool. I kept this on for around 10 minutes before going to bed. I was really happy to see that my redness and breakouts had reduced a lot and my skin had a healthy shiny glow to it. This mask was a really delightful surprise at how much I enjoyed it and how well it worked!
Cala Hot and Cold Eye Pads in Watermelon - Retail Value $7.50
I can't decide if I like these eye pads enough to use them regularly. I tried them warm since I tend to like warmer temperatures on my skin, but I found these to be way too hot for my tender eye area. I only put them in for 5 seconds and let them cool for a few minutes, but the material was still too hot. Having them on cold sort of gave me brain freeze and made me a bit uncomfortable, but that is totally a personal preference, I don't like anything cooling on my skin typically. I am going to give them a try when my allergies act up again or when I have a headache to see if that helps. These masks are meant to help diminish fine lines and puffiness and can help relieve migraines, stress-related tension, sinus pain, and heat exhaustion.
Zion Health Brightening Black Cherry Face Mask, 4 oz. - Listed Value $19.99
This is a daily cleansing mask that helps to remove buildup, firm, hydrate, and brighten skin tone. It is made with antioxidant-rich black cherry fruit extract to help purify while hydrating your skin. The directions indicate that you can leave this on for one to 15 minutes, which I thought was interesting. I decided to leave this on for about 10 minutes before rinsing with cool water. I can't say that I noticed a huge difference in my skin after using a few days in a row, but I do feel that my skin looks fresh and clean after using the mask. It leaves me with a little glow in the morning which I always appreciate, and it doesn't dry my skin out which is a big win for me.
Bombay & Cedar Nail Conditioner and Cuticle Oil, 10 mL - Listed Value $24.00
My nails and cuticles are in pretty bad shape still even though winter is finally coming to an end where I live. I was really excited to try a new cuticle oil, especially since the scent is lavender and tea tree, two of my favorite scents. I was a little bummed to see that this was a roll-on oil though because it felt a little clunky trying to roll the oil over my nails and cuticles. It wasn't really coming off well so I decided to roll the oil into my palms and then rub over my hands and nails. It seems to be working well that way and has been helping some cracks around my nails to heal faster. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft. Plus, it smells so amazing! Light and fresh and floral without being overpowering.
Model Rock Brow Powder in Blondie - Retail Value $28.00
I have to start by saying that I wasn't super excited about this brow powder at first. I have a brow pencil set that I really love, and I was a bit confused as to the powder and how it would shape and color my brows. I also prefer darker brows so I wasn't too jazzed about the blondie shade that I received. But I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this product! It did an amazing job shaping my brows, allowing them to look full without being out of control, and gave them a great medium brown shade. This powder is made with biotin to condition your hair and stimulate growth. I love that this powder went on smoothly without feeling or looking as though I had power on my brows. While I am still deeply in love with the brow pencil set that I use right now, I was pleasantly surprised by how well this powder worked.
Lovelight Cosmetics Lighted Lip Gloss with Mirror in Peace - Retail Value $28.00
If you follow my reviews you know by now that I am not a gloss girl. I am trying though because I know some days I just need a little gloss instead of a full lip. I received the peace shade that is a glossy pink, but I love that it isn't too glittery, just a sleek shine to it. It is made with aloe, jojoba oil, vitamin E, and shea butter. This formula is so hydrating! It made my lips tingle and left my lips feeling soft all day. It wasn't sticky and wore really well, giving me lasting hydration for hours. I know that I will be using this a lot throughout the summer on those pool days when I want to add a little lip without being too overdone in the hot sun. Am I a gloss girl now?
Verdict: This month's The Beauty Box by Bombay & Cedar was a fun mix of products for me! The Facetory sheet mask was a big hit coming right on time when I had some redness and breakouts. These masks are always a quick fix, but I was happy with the quality and the glow that I was left with the morning after using this mask. I was able to discover a super hydrating gloss that isn't too sticky or too shiny and is going to become a summer pool day staple for me. The brow powder wasn't super exciting for me at first, but once I saw how full and smooth it made my brows I was sold. I just wish I had received a darker shade which is just a personal preference. The cleansing mask hasn't blown me away just yet, but I appreciate that it is leaving my skin feeling clean, glowing, without drying me out. The only product that I'm not sure about is the eye masks, but I am going to give them a try again when I have sinus pressure or a headache. I calculated a retail value of around $110.49 for this box, a great value for $31.95 a month. I really loved the products this month and felt that the assortment was fun, but I will say that I wish there was one higher quality product to sort of balance everything out. I am always excited to receive this box and love learning about new brands and discovering products that I might not reach for on my own.
