We have full spoilers for the May 2021 Detox Box.

Detox Box May 2021Each box will include:

  • Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Coconut Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo ($42): Banish buildup and flakes with this exfoliating Binchotan charcoal-infused shampoo. Tea tree and spearmint soothe the scalp while coconut oil seals in moisture for a deep clean like no other.
  • B.Well Organic + Cold Pressed 100% Castor Oil ($26): A one-ingredient wonder. Rich in humectants, vitamin E, and omega fatty acids, this 100% cold-pressed castor oil can be used on hair and skin to reveal a healthy, radiant glow.
  • Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Tea Tree Cooling Hydration Scalp Mask ($12): Find relief with this cooling scalp mask. Binchotan charcoal gently purifies while a trio of invigorating oils—tea tree, peppermint, and spearmint—nixes itchiness and flakes.
  • Scalp Revival™ Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo ($2): Dry shampoo with detoxifying benefits. A base of clay plus tapioca and rice starches absorb excess oil, while Binchotan charcoal draws out impurities for a balanced scalp and bouncy strands.
  • Don’t Despair, Repair!™ Deep Conditioning Hair Mask ($36): Beloved by all hair types and textures, this holy-grail deep conditioning mask contains rosehip, sweet almond, and argan oils to replenish hydration, while B5, biotin, and algae boost resilience and shine.

I hoping next box is more skincare-oriented. 🙂

Me too! I am always very apprehensive of natural hair care products. So many of them give me a rash along my scalp line! And honestly, they just aren’t as “fun” as getting skin care or makeup. I haven’t really lived any of The Detox Box’s sub boxes this year. Though the Pai one was my favorite so far. Maybe it’s just that I’ve tried so many products by now, I’m getting a bit picky.

On the fence! I love that deep conditioning hair mask – I use as conditioner. But, worried all the charcoal too drying for my wavy hair. Anyone used these?

I signed up for this box, I can’t wait. I’m excited to try the Scalp Revival Shampoo. I’ve been using the Christophe Robin Scalp Detox Shampoo and love it and am almost out of it, and this one is cheaper and I love the Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Mask, so I’m looking at it like I’m getting those two products at a discount and the other products as a gift with purchase, so I’m excited. Total cost including taxes was $61.46 (going by the monthly rate, so I can cancel when I want.)

I know the castor oil is the least sexy of the bunch, but I have been using it on my eyebrows for a few months and there has definitely been some growth and we are talking about over tweezed brows from the 90s lol.

Thanks for the tip, Snow! I got my box yesterday, put some on my eyebrows, and was very impressed. It made them look so good! If there’s long term growth as well, that will just be an awesome bonus.

Cindy

what? castor oil works on eyebrows? I had NO idea – thanks so much for the great tip, I’m going to try it 🙂

I found a bottle at TJMAXX last month for use on brows and lashes. It’s making a difference, mostly on my sparse brows. Def try it!

Kristin

It is $58.95 not $55. Had to get I love the scalp shampoo.

Amazing box! I’m a big fan of Briogeo so it’s nice that I don’t have to go out and get some of these products!

Cindy, do you mean this brand? Or one or more of the specific products? You sound experienced… Thanks!

Hi Carol! I mean I love this brand briogeo – it’s like magic for my hair. I have been hoping a subscription box would include it, because it’s super pricey to buy at retail. I do really like the detox box in general, but don’t have a long-term subscription as I’ve got too many face masks and serums right now, so I’m picking and choosing my boxes 🙂

Elaine

Can’t wait!
