There's a Subscription For That is a new series spotlighting subscriptions the team at My Subscription Addiction finds interesting and are excited to share with our readers.

Bored, anxious, and stuck inside during the pandemic, it's no wonder that many people sought refuge in one of the most soothing activities around: Baking. If you've been on Instagram at all in the past year, you're bound to have stumbled across photos of a crispy golden loaf or a beautifully decorated cake.

Whether you're a long-time baker or a recent enthusiast, there's one magic ingredient that's sure to render all your desserts instantly Insta-ready: sprinkles! And Fancy Sprinkles is an expert at crafting the coolest sprinkle blends for spicing up your tasty creations.

Founded in 2016 by Lisa Stelly, Fancy Sprinkles offers edible sprinkles, glitter, and baking accessories for the modern baker. Their colorful, eye-catching sprinkle blends featuring fun names such as "Black Widow" (a mysterious black and gold blend), "Call Me Maybe" (a sparkly pink and purple blend), and "Firecracker" (a patriotic red, white, and blue blend) are sure to add a bright spot to your cakes and your kitchen cabinet.

Can't get enough of Fancy Sprinkles' vibrant blends? Whipping up desserts faster than your sprinkles can keep up? Well, there's a subscription for that!

Each month, their subscription box offers an exclusive sneak peek into Fancy Sprinkles' next limited edition drop. Subscribers receive three 4-ounce jars of not-yet-released sprinkle blends, perfect for topping cupcakes, donuts, sugar cookies, or any other delicious goodies your heart desires.

On your marks, get set, bake!

I purchased from this box previously and the sprinkles are only okay. No one wants giant balls of hard candy in their sprinkles. Sweetopolita has a much better service with superior sprinkles.

No, thanks.

wow. bad reviews so far for this company. However, I am looking forward to seeing what MSA profiles in the future posts for this series. I want to see really original ideas! I think there used to be a company that would mail snow to people.

I was thinking the same thing! I very much want to see what all is out there. Plus, when they make a post about it here on MSA, people can comment on their experience with it Like Terry C did below. Comments like that are extremely valuable to me when deciding whether to try a company or not. As someone with no social media I often feel like I miss out on other peoples experience with things which is why I love the comments section on this site so much. I probably would have given this sub a whirl (I bake and decorate and sell cookies for things like birthdays, showers, weddings, etc. so this subscription is really right up my ally) but hearing what happened with Terry C gives me pause.

No social media = better mental health (in my humble opinion!)

I agree, the comments here are very valuable 😁

Thanks for the excitement, Beth! The goal with this new series is definitely to show the level of creativity and play we see in the subscription space too. Definitely feel free to send us any that you find too – [email protected]!

So it’s not a real sub, it’s just another ad MSA is sneaking in on us…

I’m confused, why isn’t this a “real sub”?

Agreed. I find it interesting how MSA responds to positive comments but critiques or constructive criticism, no matter how many commenters share the same thoughts, are met with crickets. Disappointing

Apparently the founder does not understand that the point of prepaying is to receive a multi-box discount or extra customization privileges. If the cost of prepaying is the same as the cost of buying by the month, why would anyone with a brain prepay?

Only if this is a gift sub, and this is so niche that they can’t expect many people to gift a sub to a loved one.

I will never order from them again. I ordered these VERY expensive sprinkles for Christmas cookies at Thanksgiving and received them the week after Christmas. Total waste of 40.00 . Sitting in the drawer until next year. Bah and humbug.

Thanks. Good to know.
