I was a subscriber at GB, Plus, and Ultimate. I cancelled all but Plus, and finally cancelled Plus. I missed it ad wanted October. On my account, in the header over the Plus tab, Ipsy offered a free gift for reactivation. I took them up on it. I finally received my October bag a couple days ago. No ftee gift. Customer service denies that they ever had that offer. They said I misunderstood Ipsy and that the offer was for a Refreshments. I tactfully explained that I definitely did not misunderstand; that the offer was explicitly for a free gift with Plus reactivation. They are holding firm ad so am I. They are basically telling me that I am an inept in my reading comprehension. I am basically telling Ipsy that they are liars, scammers, and frauds.

Products are tempting but I got burned by their terrible customer service.

Ipsy can make substitutions of your order, and they never give refunds.

Ipsy absolutely does give refunds. I have been refunded for a missing RLR mirror, an eyeshadow palette that had one broken, crumbly pan & a highlighter that arrived crumbled. I provided pics of the last 2 & got refunded within 24 hours.

I canceled my subscription, after YEARS because of their garbage customer service. My May bag didn’t even arrive until June 11. I was missing 2 of my 4 paid add-ons, plus the free gift they dangled to get you to spend more. I am maybe receiving one of my missing add-ons, a refund for the other, but nothing for the free gift they promised. This happened with a lot of people whose May bags were shipped extremely late, and it was generally noticed that it was the A+ that was the problem item (making fulfilments late, and then it not being included in the bag, and claiming it was out of stock). They never take customer feedback into account, all they want is more subscribers and more sales.

Apparently you didn’t read the email sent out to all script holder informing of the delay? But it was also noted in news media that we may experience a delay on deliveries due to 1:Covid 2:wild fires west 3:hurricanes east 4:tornados south! Sorry you were short of some deliveries tho. That does suck,

amber

Yea, they said the gift was out of stock, and I was told I was getting only the one item that was missing that was still in stock.

Really sad, because I used to look forward to Ipsy every month. Choice, bag reveals, add-ons, pop up sales, and the daily deal in the shop. I haven’t even looked at the app in several days because I just don’t want to give them more money.

El

Why *they treated you

El

Wow. I don’t understand why did treated you — a loyal customer for years — with such indifference.

I think you’re right about Ipsy — Ipsy sees no point in investing in customer service, when unhappy customers can be easily replaced by new people.

Sounds like it’s just about $$$ to them.

Did Ipsy ever say why they weren’t making good on the free gift?
