My Ipsy Glam Bag July 2021 Review
Included is a product card that lists the products in your Glam Bag and their retail value.
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month's theme is "Stay Golden," and the bag is a beautiful gold color with gold and teal hardware. I love this bag; it's simple yet elegant.
GRACE & STELLA Foaming Face Wash, 60 ml - Estimated Value $7.20 (Buy a full-size 150 ml for $18.00)
I love the brand Grace & Stella and I absolutely LOVE their foaming face wash. I’m so happy to receive this product again and in a travel size — perfect for a summer getaway. It’s a super gentle fragrance-free cleanser that pumps out in a luxurious light, airy foam. After every use, my face feels refreshed and clean, without feeling dry or tight. This cleanser efficiently removes dirt, oil, and impurities without stripping skin.
NEOGEN DERMALOGY White Truffle Serum in Oil Drop, 15.5 ml - Estimated Value $10.85 (Buy a full-size 50 ml for $35.00)
I’m always a bit skeptical of oil-based serums — because your girl has the greasiest t-zone out there. But this Neogen Dermalogy White Truffle Serum in Oil Drop is great. A drop or two is plenty for my whole face, and the product absorbs super quickly and doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily. My skin feels smooth and soft and looks radiant after application. Formulated with white truffles, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid, this serum is designed to take dull, dry skin to a more hydrated, plump, and luminous place.
KOKIE COSMETICS Full Face Sponge in Purple, 1 CT - Full Size $5.00
This Kokie Cosmetics Full Face Sponge came just in the nick of time. I was in desperate need of a new makeup sponge. My old sponge is permanently stained with foundation no matter how many times I attempt to clean it. This cute lavender-colored sponge is super soft and is great for applying liquid and cream-based products. It blends beautifully without leaving behind any streaks or cakiness. Since the sponge is so soft, it does seem to absorb product but it is very easy to clean.
Saint Luxe Clear Brow Gel, 5.8 ml - Full Size $16.00
I have some wild and unruly brows, so clear brow gels are a go-to in my basic everyday routine. Saint Luxe’s clear brow gel is ultra-lightweight and doesn’t leave my brows feeling stiff or sticky. But what really sold me was the fact that the product doesn’t flake once it dries. The applicator has a small spoolie at the end for precise and controlled application. This brow gel held my wiry brows in place all day long leaving me with a polished, put-together natural look.
FIRST AID BEAUTY Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer, 0.34 oz - Estimated Value $5.76 (Buy a full-size 1.7 fl oz for $30.00)
I have tried First Aid Beauty’s Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer before and I loved it. It feels cool and refreshing on my skin, it smells great, applies smoothly, and works well under my foundation. This primer has a 3-in-1 nutrient-rich formula that nourishes and hydrates skin while prepping your face for makeup. I love that the product is free from artificial fragrances, alcohol, and dyes.
Verdict: This month’s Ipsy Glam Bag featured products that I use and will always need. I'm very happy with the beauty sponge and the brow gel... I was in URGENT need of both. I'm also a huge fan of the Grace & Stella Foaming Cleanser, and I love the hefty size of this sample. I also got to try a new-to-me product, the Neogen Dermalogy White Truffle Serum in Oil Drop. With a retail value of $44.81, this month's Ipsy Glam Bag delivered some main staples and new discoveries!
