The newest spoiler from the July 2021 Kyoto JourneeBox from Kevia Style is here!

Two for Tea from the Kyoto JourneeBox includes two packs of authentic matcha tea, which is only grown in Japan. Matcha is different from other types of green tea because it offers a higher concentration of anti-oxidants and nutrition in regular green tea.

JourneeBox has three types of matcha; they will select one type for you and give you two packs of the sweet, grassy tea. You're getting up to $60 in value here, as each individual pack is valued up to $30.

Not only can you drink matcha for its health benefits, you might want to create your own tea ceremony routine to relax and invigorate you. You can also benefit from the nutrients in the tea by adding it to smoothies, baked goods and other foods and drinks.

The Subscription Box: The Kyoto JourneeBox

The Price: Plans start at $54.99 per quarter + free US shipping to the contiguous US ($250 value)

The Products: Two packs of matcha tea in the Kyoto Box. Each JourneeBox contains products that have been sustainably made or are fair trade.

Shipping: Free to the contiguous United States. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico is $8.

This box has some very interesting curation going on. I like that they take a risk by offering things we haven’t seen before. Awesome!

Forgive me if I have this wrong, but I thought one of the advantages of this box is all things are made in house. The matcha tea has KEVIA written on the package, so I wouldn’t call it a no name brand.

We always partner with local vendors. In this case, we worked with a certified organic tea company in Japan, they grow the teas and process it. This is from the Uji region in Kyoto, also known as the home of Japanese Green Tea. We selected the grade and application options based on tea specifics and designed the packaging. Working with local companies allows us to source the very best for each box. Excited to share of the box with you soon.

Hi, Leo. Is the matcha going to be 2 grades? It looks in the picture like you will definitely have culinary grade. Will you also offer a ceremonial grade tea for drinking?

Pam

No, she buys wholesale and rebrands the products with her name.

When does this box typically ship?

Carol

No regularity on shipping, very loosely, quarterly. Best lifestyle box, imo.

The packages clearly say 100% Japanese matcha.

Charlotte

What makes you think it’s private-labeled?

Ashleigh

Perhaps she will give us some more info with the shipment. But I’m pretty happy that it’s Japanese and not Chinese. Chinese matcha tends to have a lot more contaminants.

My thoughts exactly!
