Dia & Co is a monthly plus-size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia & Co, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes, and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five items that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 25% discount is applied if I chose to keep all five items too!
The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co may be entirely different than mine!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
First Impressions
That Dia & Co envelope I look forward to seeing every month now comes as a sleeve.
Enclosed is an awesome message from my stylist, Melinda H.! She complimented the three pieces that I selected this month and gave some fantastic styling tips too!
There's also an invoice that has a detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item she selected for me along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off (if I opt to keep all five items) is applied. My prices aren't listed, so this form is a bit inaccurate. The total would be $285.00. After the $20 styling fee and 25% is applied my balance for the entire box would be $198.75! The savings would be $86.25 if I did decide to keep everything! That would be like getting either Madison and Mia dresses almost for free -- that's pretty fantastic!
Now for the fashions!
Mia Floral-Print Sweetheart Skater Dress, Size 3x-- Listed Value $42
The first dress of the bunch is one my awesome stylist, Melinda, selected for me! This dress has such soft and stretchy fabric-- I am in love! The color and floral print of this fabric reminded me of something that Iris from Taxi Driver would have worn. I opted to style it with 70s inspired faux wood platform open-toed shoes in a cognac shade. This dress could easily translate to Autumn weather-- simply pair with knit or opaque black tights, with the same shoes or ankle booties, as well as a black biker jacket or oversized, long, bulky knit cardigan for extra coziness.
Acela Ruffle Trim Maxi Dress in Yellow/ White by Chetta B, Size 22-- Listed Value $65
This was the dress I rushed to closet-- I knew I had to have it! I love most anything in yellow, but this polka dot pattern with the fantastic ruffles had me sold! Think of this as a modern-day Naomi Harper dress. The ruffled sleeves and mock turtleneck details are some of my favorites. This dress is definitely perfect for spring and summertime, so I opted to style it with my favorite Torrid white Mary Janes and pastel flower power hoops from the Ziggy Pop shop! The outside layer is a breezy, sheer material with a thicker stretch lining. I am pleased with how comfortable this is to wear-- perfect for a summer wedding or even a picnic! Sadly, the dress sold out fairly immediately on the site, friends!
Laura Printed Tiered Midi Dress by Chetta B, Size 22 — Listed Value $65
This blue marble vision is by the same brand as the Acela style dress. This dress is labeled as a midi length, but as you can see on me it definitely fits more like a maxi and is fairly long. The top layer is surprisingly a mesh-like fabric with ample stretch. This dress is incredibly comfortable to wear! I would have loved this when I worked at this office because I tend to sit with my left foot tucked under my rump. I would never have to worry about this being too short or about limiting my movements in a dress like this one! The print is so bold that I opted for very simple styling with my silver drop earrings and my black jelly flats. This dress is fantastic for spring and summer with a light cardigan or jean jacket for cooler evenings. The only negative is this dress wouldn't translate well into cooler months-- I can only envision wearing this dress while taking strolls on the beach at sunset!
Elinor Chiffon Maxi Dress, Size 22— Listed Value $65
Another Chetta B design that I selected-- what can I say, I was in the mood for sleeveless maxi dresses! This beauty is similar to the Laura style in terms it having more of an empire elastic waistline. The top layer is a beautiful chiffon with a stretchy polyester lining underneath. This is a sultry dress that will make you look fantastic for date night or for a family wedding. The darker tones on this dress make it a piece I can see being worn into early fall-- you can pair this gorgeous piece with flats and a jean jacket for a more casual look. I opted to emphasize the glamorous element by styling this dress with pink metallic open-toed kitten-heeled sandals.
Madison Halter Dress by Sandra Darren, Size 22 — Listed Value $49
Finally, we have a maxi dress that my stylist picked just for me. This will age me, but I think I loved the print on this dress partially because it reminded me of the album cover for Elliott Smith's Figure 8. I also appreciate the slightly retro psychedelic vibe: right up my alley! The top's fabric has stretch and I love the solid dark navy material-- in addition, I adore the cutout in the back! Doesn't it add such an alluring touch? I opted to wear my white Mary Janes with this piece as well for a cute, yet comfortable touch. This dress is perfect to wear for a backyard family get-together or out for an afternoon date!
Verdict
This month's Dia & Co was filled with some dreamy summer dresses! I love every single dress in this month's box, especially the Acela ruffle dress. I know I will only get wear from it in the spring and summer, but I think that will be an ideal piece to wear for events like bridal and baby Showers. It is cute, has some retro flair, but is modest. The Mia floral dress Melinda selected for me was a fantastic surprise. I can see wearing it all year-- we know I love a versatile number! I am so pleased with my new stylist-- the pieces she has selected for me so far have all been home runs!
I know I say it frequently, but I cannot suggest enough that you provide feedback as well as your Pinterest, IG, or sending your stylist direct links from the Dia & Co site as your feedback. I post frequently enough on my IG that it is a great resource to any of my stylists. Providing this information assists them in creating a more personalized box. Yes, you do have the ability to select all five of the items in your style box or even purchase items outright from the site itself-- but I love that element of surprise! I generally try to select three of the five items to ensure I get two mystery pieces. It can be hard to restrain myself--I am a shopping fanatic and know what styles and cuts I prefer on my body at every size. I definitely do a great job of ordering things for myself, but through the last year and a half, it has been such a lovely surprise receiving Dia & Co boxes. Yes, I can go to the mall, but I am limiting unnecessary trips with the Covid cases increasing. I love the convenience of getting amazing clothing sent directly to my home! Not only can I have clothes sent to me, but Dia & Co also offers styling box services for activewear, intimate pieces, and now swimwear too! I just cannot praise Dia & Co and their customer-friendly options and service! Melinda nailed it with her selections for me this month, are you as excited as I am to see what I get next month?
