Essentials Crate June 2021 Review
Essentials Crate uses a digital info page instead of including a book. The theme this month is "Relief to the Rescue".
Let's dive in!
R+R Medicinals Full-Spectrum 1000mg CBD Cream, 2.5 fl oz - Retail Value $42.99
As someone who likes to pick up heavy things at the gym, muscle soreness just comes along with this daily habit. And I like using CBD creams to ease those aches. While I am not sure I could measure how much they help, I do believe they aid in soothing my arms especially, even if a lot of that relief is taking the time to sit down and massage cream onto myself. This is an especially potent cream with 1000 mg inside. Otherwise, it is very nondescript, with no scent and an easily absorbed texture. I was especially pleased that this formula was menthol-free!
Bombay and Cedar Calm Body and Linen Mist, 3.4 fl oz - Listed Value $24.00 (the sold-out product was previously 4 fl oz on the B&C website)
It always feels a little weird to get a subscription box brand product in another subscription box. That being said, I always enjoyed the oils from my Bombay and Cedar subscription and still use tons of them daily in my diffuser. This blend is lovely. It smells like Ho wood (one of my favorite oils) and lavender, with hints of orange and lemon. It can be used on linens or on the body, and I found that it is especially nice on fresh laundry to keep it smelling nice longer.
Essential Living Anto-Cellulite Brush - Listed Value $15.00
The last item this month is a wooden brush with chunky rounded bristles used to massage out cellulite. I have quit caring that I have cellulite (it is a losing battle and I have better things to worry about) but I find that with a little massage cream or oil, this texture feels great anywhere on the body really. You could absolutely use this in tandem with the CBD cream above to massage out any aches or pains.
The Verdict: Essentials Crate felt a little lean this month. I know technically the value is there if you add up the numbers, but I am used to just a bit more from this subscription. That being said, I will certainly use everything inside this curation and the quality inside was great. I think it might have benefitted from one more item, but we will see what next month brings!
