This is the first box in several months I’m actually ok with and feel like I got some bang for my buck in terms of quality and value. I am interested in the skin care items and that O-lipstick is a VERY nice shade on my med deep tone! Cant wait to try the bath salts either.

I did. They offered me $16.50/month. I still said no. I’ve been a faithful subscriber for 4 years. I have enough vitamin C to last for years.

Why do new members get better and more items then the loyal subscribers… the Annual, 3 months, 6 months, or even monthly subscribers? Makes me feel like I should cancel and join as a new member each month. Where is the appreciation for the loyal subscribers?

Absolutely agree. Was so excited to see the Anastasia lipstick, but then, no, not for us. I do feel that Allure has one of the best boxes out there, though for the price. It’s definitely my favorite in the $25 range. I’m excited for the items they show.

I agree!! I always get so excited seeing the new member gifts and then am SUPER disappointed when I see that we don’t get it. I’ve been an Allure annual subscriber for 2 years and haven’t ever received anything from ABH. After my year sub is up I’m canceling.

I’ve been wanting to try tht Acure Serum. It’s $20 @Ulta rn…If the price was the same this would def be a bang for your buck! But, and not trying to sound ungrateful, paying what $3 xtra dollars isn’t worth sampling the Glycolic Acid (which I already own PLENTY of!) And, for me, the sunscreen is so-so. Not anything super-interesting. As far as the lippies (for new subs?), I don’t have any interest in at all. Nor the lavender bath salts. Idk, still can’t pull the trigger on this box. Wish I coulda got the cheaper-year-bought deal right before they raised the prices. Oh well, I will still always keep my eye out for this box, I guess. (Lol.)

I just don’t know what to do. I have an annual subscription but I’ve skipped the last 3 months (my account stays “suspended”). I was really ready to receive a box this month but I just don’t want any of these items. They’re not terrible, like most months, but I just don’t want any of them. Normally I’d be thrilled to get a Sunday Riley product, just not this one because it has chemical sunscreen ingredients, which I avoid.
I just really want to get nice boxes again like we used to. I keep skipping but they may never get better.

Wholeheartedly agree. September’s box is “meh.” I paused my sub for July & August after three years. I was going to see what September had to offer. Then I realized it probably would be more of the same as always. Canceled mid-August because I just wasn’t feeling Allure boxes like I used to. Same products, different companies each month. Plus products in boxes aren’t same formulations as products purchased through companies directly. I feel cheated because I never knew that. Sorry, Allure. I’m breaking up with you. It’s not me. It’s you 🙁

That’s why I canceled. I locked in before the price went up, and based on the meh boxes I was getting, I decided not to renew.

This also locked me out of the subscriber deals, but that’s okay. They were mostly stuff I either already had, or didn’t want.

Skipped again. Not a good box for me personally. Don’t want the Alpha H exfoliating treatment for use every other night with no other skin care products except cleanser. (I have too many other products I need to use up!) Don’t need the sunscreen – I wear a daily face moisturizer with SPF. Wouldn’t wear either one of the lipsticks- not my color at all- too dark and too reddish. So that’s the 3 full size items. Oh well, I’m
saving a little money.

It seems that Australia’s become the new skin care cool place. I didn’t realize that the Alpha H was a stand alone product. I was iffy about it because my skin is sensitive.

Found the first spoiler for October elsewhere- the KAJA Beauty Bento Bouncy Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio in Chocolate Dahlia. A beauty reviewer I watch on YouTube loves these trios and I’ve always wanted to try one. With all my cancellations, I’m in until December. As long as there’s one thing I want in each box, I’m not skipping any more. I want to end this subscription and start another.

OMG, I just watched the unboxing video.

They’re cleaning of shelf space again since the lipstick may be one of two brands, the bath salts may be one of two formulations, and the Belif may be one of two versions, depending on what you got in the past.

What a mess.

You only get your 1st box half price, then all others are the same as Allure monthly. Just wanted to tell you on case you didn’t know. I get both allure and Amazon allure boxes.

Anyone else nervous of Acure? A few months back they had a face mask in a sub box that burnt people’s faces so badly they recalled it. Plus bakuchiol (I know I spelled that wrong sorry) is already a controversial ingredient. Has anyone tried this product from Acure?

I am 61 with sensitive skin and mild rosacea. I have gotten lots of Acure items between Whole Foods bags and Target Beauty Boxes and never had a problem. I DID get that recalled mask but luckily heard about the recall before I tried it.

Does anyone know if Amazon shows the version they send out or is it a mystery until it arrives? Just checked the website and it was just a sample box.

I just checked Amazon and they have the Oryza lipstick (full size) and the Belief True Cream for the options. The rest are the same – Sunday Riley (full size), Alpha H Liquid Gold (full size), the Acure serum and the bath salts.

Ugh. Whatever to this box. I bought the annual membership and am losing interest…fast. I sell Avon, which sells Belif…so I sell these products to myself. Just sent out the eye cream by Belif a couple months ago…switch it up!

Hello! Welcome, and I hope you are enjoying being new to Allure! And please, don’t be sorry for asking questions – better to ask and find out. “Renewing” doesn’t refer to members with annual subscriptions per se; as I understand it, the word refers to those of us whose subscription is not starting for the first time with the {whichever upcoming} new month. However, as a newer Allure member you may potentially receive any of the products listed here because none of them should be repeat items (at least not from Allure). I could be wrong about this, but I think this is how it goes.
For further information, you can contact customer service – I’ve talked to them more than a few times, and each time has seriously been some of the best CS experiences I’ve ever had. 1-800-274-1603

It’s a phrasing thing, think of it as renewing = existing subscribers. So regardless of whether you’re monthly or annual, you are a renewing subscriber. If you haven’t received any of these before through Allure, you might get the “new” box, but if you had been a subscriber before, you would have already received most of them.

I wish the sunscreen and the Alpha-H didn’t have alcohol denat so high up on the ingredient lists! The Acure and lipstick look promising though, I hope they are full size.

Wow, ton of repeats. I got the bath salts, new member lashes,eyeliner, the liquid lip, AND the Belif cream in previous boxes.

The Acure serum and lipstick are the only non-repeats. The serum sounds interesting, but I may just buy it outright. The lipstick looks pretty.

I skipped March so I may be getting this one, I’m not sure. If not, well, there’s always Amazon

I skipped enough that my annual membership is going until December (bought at the ‘old rate’ price). I just want this over. I’m tired of the spoilers getting later and later. As long as there are no brown lipsticks, black eyeliners or fake high end brands, I’m not skipping again.

I know !! What are they talking about? I got the all but the sunscreen.alpha h, and orza lip before. So everything no matter knew or renewing is a repeat ! I’m calling them AGAIN to complain. And this is supposed to be my last box but this just stinks.
