The Items
JaxSea Aloha Reversible Pullover - Listed Value $95
I am into this cozy sweatshirt with a very subtle nod to beachiness! The grey color is perfect for my wardrobe and I love that it is reversible to a pretty tropical leaf pattern. This box has a way of sending beach-themed clothing pieces that you actually want to wear and never feel silly wearing if you live far, far away from a beach.
Tucker is my own personal paradise.
Earth Harbor Sunshine Dew Cleansing Oil, 2 fl oz - Retail Value $24
I enjoy Earth Harbor products and I am excited that they now have this oil cleanser. I am typically a double cleanser (unless I'm feeling lazy) and I like to start with a cream and finish with an oil to keep my dry face moisturized and calm. This golden dew has a citrus and vanilla scent that is pretty darn wonderful and the formula itself boasts some seriously nourishing oils: grapeseed, jojoba, avocado, and more. It is a great cleanser for this time of year because it is super effective at softening those dry patches that so often happen around the nose and mouth when the winds get cold.
Salty Cali Salty Shell Necklace - Listed Value $38
FYI: Subscribers can choose between gold or silver.
I really enjoy layering different dainty gold necklaces but I am also metal sensitive, meaning they have to be pretty good quality unless I want a green line around my neck. So far, this little shell and chain have passed the test! You know when you are wearing a piece of jewelry that has that perfect sort of weight? Like your fingers just want to play with it and it is heavy enough to feel nice in your hands? This solid shell has that quality and is just lovely to fiddle with while you wear it. The chain is marked as sterling silver and I am tempted to assume the shell is too.
Lu & Elle Paradise Palm Backpack - Listed Value $120
Again, this box excels at prints that are totally a "sea" vibe but are so darn stylish and modern. This backpack is made out of durable canvas material with a grey botanical print. It has faux-leather accents (that are pretty nice actually) and is closed with a drawstring and flap. Now, as much as I love this backpack, the listed price feels way out there to me. But, still, this is a super cute piece and I have already used it multiple times. Most recently, I had to drop Tucker off at the dog sitter and I filled it with his favorite bowl, bags of kibble, and a few of his squeaky toys. It was a perfect size.
Billie's Seaside Catch-All - Listed Value $25
While this catcall was really truly on the flimsy side (it is made out of a thin tin material) it is kind of charming and a great choice for your vanity (to stash perfume samples or necklaces) or the guest bathroom (for smaller soaps, travel shampoos, etc). I like the texture and lightness it adds to a space.
Lu & Elle Paradise Palm Wallet - Listed Value $25
This last item is a cardholder that matched the backpack perfectly. I don't generally use items like this but I could see it being great for a hotel key card or if you are someone who doesn't like to haul around an actual purse.
Verdict
This Beachly assortment was a perfect merger of fall and the beach and somehow it works! As someone who used to live in New England, that sort of cold coast idea is my personal beach paradise, so I always appreciate Beachly's ability to reference the ocean without defaulting to Pina Coladas or coconuts. The curation of this delivery was pretty great and I am loving my sweatshirt and backpack especially!
