Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service that formerly catered to plus sizes only, but is now far more inclusive offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like that are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items in your virtual closet are sent to you at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!

The cost depends on how many items you would like to rent out at a time. Starting at $49 per month for 1 item and up to $199 for 10 items. Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy steeply discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!

What's Inside This Box

This is a review of the three items at a time for $95/month:

Twilight Dot Perfect Faux Wrap Dress by Leota, Size 2x — Cost to Keep $50.50

Over the last four years I have done reviews for MSA, one of the most prevalent brands I have reviewed is Leota. To say I am familiar with the brand is an understatement. One thing most Leota brand dresses have in common is the material has ample stretch and the cuts are meant to accentuate fuller figures. Most of the dresses I have tried by them have been faux wrap styles-- you simply cannot go wrong! This piece hugs all my curves in the right places and even offers a modesty button on the chest. This is fantastic if you are wearing this to a family event or at the workplace. The design of the fabric on this dress is a variation of the classic polka dot print. I opted to do rather simple styling and pair this dress with my favorite Torrid white Mary Janes and these glitzy blue abstract acrylic earrings from Fairly Odd Shop! You can add extra sass by pairing with wedge platforms or heels as well. In addition, this is a piece you can essentially wear all year; wear this same ensemble with opaque tights, cardigan, and beret in the fall and winter.

Camo Leopard Green Dress by Sanctuary Clothing, Size 3x — Cost to Keep $84.50

I love lighter cotton t-shirt like dresses because of their versatility. This dress is no exception. The dress has loads of stretch and a roomy boxy cut. If you know me from my reviews-- you know I love animal prints, so this was a definite must to try on. I usually prefer avoiding cold shoulders, but I actually love the slit detail on the arms. It adds some needed flair and sass to this piece. I did simple styling with cool silver geometric-shaped earrings and off-white western-style booties. Imagine how chic this will look in the fall if you add black tights and a faux leather biker jacket to the outfit? You will slay! In the warm weather that remains, you can easily wear this dress with sandals and sneakers. Don't forget the oversized sunglasses too-- they are simply a must!

Multi Floral Black Maxi Dress by London Times, Size 3x — Cost to Keep $100.50

As much as I love animal prints, I am as big of a sucker for retro floral prints. When I spied this London Times dress, you know I had to closet this piece! I love the use of orange, butter yellow, lilac, seafoam, Kelley green, and white against the black for this floral design. It is just absolutely stunning! The material has loads of stretch and is incredibly comfortable to wear. If I were still in the office, this would certainly be a summer mainstay for me. I did some simple styling by pairing my favorite orange retro jelly flats and some psychedelic earrings to match from the Actias Luna Etsy shop! Though this dress isn't necessarily something I would opt to wear in the fall and winter, I am envisioning all the fun you can have in it in spring and summertime! You can easily wear this to a brunch, shower, wedding, or simply on a date with your honey. For cooler days and nights just slip on a seafoam or lavender cardigan, jean jacket, or faux leather biker jacket depending on your mood.

Verdict

This month, my selections from Gwynnie Bee were all absolutely fantastic! My favorite was probably the London Times maxi, but that Leota faux wrap dress was a close second. I loved the prints of each of the dresses as well, but they are all such different styles: a maxi, t-shirt, and faux wrap dress. Fashion is definitely an expression of your mood and how you want to present yourself to the world. We have so many emotions-- you need variety to express each well. What I love about Gwynnie Bee is the ability to rent and try pieces-- there is no commitment to purchase pieces. Like feelings, fashion trends can be fleeting. Why not try out a style that appeals to you at that moment? Gwynnie Bee is wonderful for this! Also, if you fall in love with a piece and want to give it a forever home-- you get it at a discount due to the item being pre-worn-- I love it!

Gwynnie Bee also offers frequent sales on at-home pieces and returned items where they take additional percentages off of the cost of items, but you stand to save even more with the combination of the reward points you accrue just by being a member! You can also take advantage of the Gwynnie Bee Market Place. The Market Place is filled with bargains from name brands at deep discount prices. I have seen some items in there for as low as $4 or $5! I am all for experimenting with fashion, especially on a budget! Plus if you know me, I am a fiend for a good sale and Gwynnie Bee quenches my thirst in that regard. Keep in mind too: you get to this all from the convenience of your own home! No need to go to the mall, you can have your own little fashion show right in your own living room! Plus, with everything slowly re-opening, a rental service like Gwynnie Bee is great if you need more pieces for events you are attending or an office job. You are able to wear pieces to work or special events without any commitment to buy-- I can't suggest the service enough!

Value Breakdown: Gwynnie Bee’s costs range depending on your subscription and how many items you are sent at a time. I have the $95.00 three-item-at-a-time plan. This includes free shipping and returns. I can get as many pieces as I like monthly, as long as I return each item first. I got three items this month. The three items total up to $235.50, which is $140.50 more than my monthly plan! That is phenomenal! Imagine also the even greater value had I sent these pieces back sooner and received additional pieces!

The polka-dot and the floral print were my favorites, and all of the outfits were perfectly accessorized.
