First Impressions
Laurel & Reed always arrives beautifully packaged and utterly giftable, though I doubt you will want to part with it!
There are always a few helpful info cards too!
Now, on to the items!
Nini Organics Natura Detox Oil, 1 fl oz – Retail Value $65
Nini Organics make some really great products, and they always arrive in very cute packaging. This rich green oil is formulated to help regulate oiliness and heal and clear blemishes. Acne-focused treatments are so often oil-free which I think is a shame for people out there like me who are dry but still experience sporadic breakouts. This formulation is also a great option for anyone with redness issues because the hemp seed oil can really help with inflammation while the tea tree calms and provides antibacterial powers. This oil does have a stronger and very medicinal scent but if you are a fan of tea tree and lavender, you are going to love it.
Solara Clean Freak Nutrient Boosted Daily Sunscreen, 3 fl oz – Retail Value $28
I am an SPF enthusiast and I truly believe everyone should be wearing it year-round. If not for skin cancer concerns, wear it because it is the absolute best way to keep your face young. This formula wasn't my favorite because it has coconut oil inside (ninth on the ingredient list though) and I am already in love with another chemical SPF. This is a physical sunscreen, meaning it sits on top of the skin and blocks UV rays. These sort of formulas can often have that white cast that makes them less ideal for many skin tones, though to my eye, this one disappeared pretty quickly. It also has a nice scent that reminds me of summery florals. Weirdly enough, I absolutely loved how this felt on my legs. Now, my legs generally break out in little bumps with most lotions causing me to use oils instead. But this was a really great surprise because it moisturized my legs, provided sun protection, and left them velvety smooth. So while this won't be my first choice for my face, it is my favorite body SPF of the year so far.
OSEA Ocean Cleansing Milk, 5 fl oz – Retail Value $54
OSEA is such a great brand and I am thrilled to see this huge bottle of cream cleanser! This formula is designed for sensitive, dry, and aging skin, though it is so gentle anyone could use and benefit from it. It is also fragrance-free! The main ingredients worth noting are safflower seed oil, sunflower seed oil, witch hazel, and chamomile. This milky cleanser leaves skin very clean but not at all stripped and I found that it makes very quick work of makeup too!
Verdict
This Laurel & Reed delivery felt full of value and had a great variety of brands. I am obsessed with Nini organics in general and the oil is a great fit for my skin and needs right now. OSEA makes such a great milk cleanser and I am thrilled to have such a nice big bottle to enjoy. The SPF isn't my fave for my face but for my legs/body? Total winner. All in all, this was a great L&R box!
