August 2021: "Box-Full of Happiness"
Every Rose War Panty Power box includes a card that lists the randomized lifestyle gifts a subscriber may receive.
Sisole Organic Pads, Pantyliners, and Tampons (15 ct) – Listed Value $9.00
Every month you will receive 15 assorted size period products based on your selection. August is another month of an assortment of pads and tampons from Sisole. The pads are extra absorbent which is a plus but I sometimes felt as though I was sitting in a diaper. The tampons are also extremely absorbent. They are, however, a little uncomfortable when inserting due to the paper applicator. These are minor inconveniences to me though, so the products still get put to good use.
Two Pairs of Undies - Listed Value $8.00-$25.00
In addition to the monthly period products, you will receive two pairs of underwear each month. The brand of the powder blue spanx-like undies is by Wakoii. The peach-colored underwear is by Grace. Both pairs received were the least sexy of any other underwear received in previous months' boxes of RWPP. These also appeared larger than other undies received.
This powder blue pair of underwear looked larger than other underwear I usually wear, but I found out that's because these are spanx practically. The underwear gave me a nice silhouette and was surprisingly flattering on. I'll wear this item under clothes where I'd like to have my curves accentuated.
My next pair of underwear is a peach color. Another pair that I wasn't crazy about upon opening the package. However, once on, I fell in love. These are basically a really comfy and cute pair of cotton booty shorts. I love the softness of the fabric and I felt fun and flirty walking around my house in them.
Platone Skin Lab Manuka Honey Mask – Listed Value $3.00
Starting off with our surprise gift this month, because I'm not sure I ever received a marked surprise gift in the RWPP box! I received an Active New Zealand Manuka Honey Mask and just like the beach picture on this month's box insert card, I felt like I was on a tropical island somewhere. The mask smelled of honey and coconut and the serum on the mask was creamy in texture. This product felt incredibly cooling on my face and I loved being able to smell tropical paradise as I relaxed for 10 mins. Once I took my mask off, I rubbed a little remaining serum into my face and then washed with warm water. My skin felt soft, moisturized, and smelled amazing. 10/10 for this sheet mask.
The Top Trends Solid Perfume (No. 5), 20 g – Listed Value $25.00
I'm completely late to the party about solid perfumes, because this was my first time ever hearing of such a thing. What a great idea to have fragrance in a container the size of a small lip balm that is filled with a solid scent! Use this product on your pulse points, the same places as you would spray perfume. This fragrance was a little strong for me, so I would like to try a more toned-down scent. I also anticipated the perfume to be softer in consistency so that it would be easy to rub on my pulse points. I found the solid difficult to rub out of the container and onto my wrists. Again though, I think a solid perfume is such a cool idea and I would love to try more, now that I know something such as this exists!
Derma Treatments Night Moisturiser, 50ml – Listed Value $38.00
This is my first time trying a product by Derma Treatments. From my research, it seems this line is sold by Skin Chemists London. I've had great luck with skincare lines from the UK, so I was more than ready to try this moisturizer. This night treatment looked like a lotion but soaked into my skin more like a serum. This product is light and lightly scented. I applied the moisturizer before bed and woke up with soft, glowy skin. I'm looking forward to making this a part of my nighttime routine.
DrH PURE Hyaluronic Anti-Aging Hydrogel Eye Pads, 5x2 pads – Listed Value $39
I truly adore and appreciate how much emphasis skincare lines are putting on eye masks now. The DrH brand is another line sold by the Skin Chemists London. There are five packets (each including 2 pads each) and the suggestion is to do this mask treatment once a week. I tried these eye masks in the middle of my workday, hoping that they would act as a midday refresher, and I was pleased with how they rejuvenated my tired eyes. The masks are easy to apply and keep on the skin and cooled around my sensitive eye area. The smell wasn't my favorite as it had this odd chemical-like scent. However, it wasn't so pungent that it turned me off from the masks. I can't wait to do my next treatment!
And now for some freebies...
Candy
One of my favorite parts of this box is the freebies! This month's treats ranged from international chocolate candies to a nutrigrain bar.
#Goodwipes
Another freebie that is often seen in the RWPP box is the Good Wipes Down There Wipes. I've used these when I needed a quick refresh and they get the job done.
Verdict
Another winner from Rose War Panty Power this month. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked both pairs of undies received, as upon first look, I had it made up in my mind that I wouldn't like them both. Believe me, when I say, both pairs of underwear will be in constant rotation due to their comfiness. I am so excited about the night moisturizer, eye masks, and solid perfume! Each of these items was unique and nicely produced. Oh yeah, and how could I forget about the Manuka honey mask? I felt like I was at an oceanfront spa.
