First Impressions
I was excited to see so many cute styles in this month's box that I knew would appeal to my daughter, although I was a little disappointed to see so many summery items since the cooler weather has already begun here. Let's see how it turned out!
What's Inside
This is the invoice that was sent in the Fix. It provides specifics on the brand, size, and price of each item. They also give instructions at the bottom for how to check out and either purchase or return your items in the pre-paid postmarked envelope they provide. The items for my daughter came to a total of $208, but with the 25% discount (which they take off before they deduct the $20) and the $20 credit, our total drops down to $136. That's a savings of $72 on this Fix.
This is the included style sheet, which features pictures of all the clothing and a note from her stylist, Alexis P. Her stylist always does a great job at listening to feedback and sending us fun items!
Julie Fleece Short by Threads for Thought, Size 8 - Cost to Keep $22
I loved the style of these shorts with the great colors and tie-dye look. They have pockets and they also have a drawstring waist so you can adjust them, but unfortunately, these were just much too big for her tiny frame. The waistband was incredibly bunched up when we tightened them enough. These are also arriving a bit late in the season for us since the weather has started to turn cooler.
Chels Cross Back Graphic Top by Love Glam Girl, Size M - Cost to Keep $14
I have an elephant obsession so I was immediately taken with this shirt! I love the fun pattern and colors on the elephant while Liv loved how soft this top was. It's a bit big on her, but still fits her comfortably and while it is mostly a very simple shirt, those cross straps in the back add just the right amount of style to it!
The Tie Front Tee by RUMI+RYDER, Size M - Cost to Keep $16
Aren't these colors just dreamy? We both thought this shirt was so pretty! The colors are so great and the way they blend into one another makes it such a great, unique design! The material is pretty thin, but it fit her well and the tie at the front was a cute detail.
The Pom Pom Tank by Bixby Nomad, Size M- Cost to Keep $16
Liv loves this top, I think mostly for the color! The design is fun with that tiny bit of pom pom trim around the neckline. This one mostly fit her, but it was just a little bit big in the armpits. While we really loved this one, it's just a bit too summery for this late in the season.
The Chenille Cardigan by RUMI + RYDER, Size M - Cost to Keep $26
The photos of this cardigan don't do it justice! The colors are just so unique and have this fun rainbow-like effect that is subtle, but still so interesting. Liv loves getting cozy in a soft cardigan and this one was big enough to wrap herself up in.
Josefina Cross Front Maxi Dress by Stella & Sienna, Size S - Cost to Keep $26
Liv absolutely loves this dress and I do too! This red color is so vibrant and it looks so pretty with the teal flowers all over. I love the length, which I think is also what Liv likes about it and that cross strap detail at the top is fun, too! While it's sleeveless, I think that since it is so long we could easily add some layers to make it work for a fall dress.
I suggested pairing it with her jean jacket and she came down with this ensemble on. Can you tell that she loves it?
Chaya Brushed Ruffle Skater Dress by Social Academy, Size 8- Cost to Keep $26
I love the color of this dress! It's like a golden yellow that really does have a bit of a shine to it that really makes it look like shimmering gold. The stripes are cute, the fabric is soft and it has pockets. I loved the way the ruffle looked around her neckline! It has a cute feminine vibe. It's sort of like a tank top dress, but I think the color means we could add some layers to make it work for cooler weather!
Harlee Fit and Flare Dress by RUMI + RYDER, Size M - Cost to Keep $24
I just love how fall this dress feels! The colors, the florals with the wilderness vibe, and the fact that it's long-sleeved. It also has pockets and it looked pretty cute on her! This is an ideal fall dress, especially since we can add leggings to keep it warm when it gets even cooler~
The Curved Seam Active Legging by Runway, Size M - Cost to Keep $22
These athletic leggings were so fun, but just a little too big on her. The colors are great and they have pockets, but they aren't quite her style. I think I'd definitely like these in my size though!
The Graphic Tank by RUMI + RYDER, Size M - Cost to Keep $16
This top was fun with the great colors and the tiny "just beachy" phrase underneath the seashell. My daughter loves reversible sequins so this was an easy one for her to like. While cute, it's just too late in the season for a beachy tank top like this one for us.
Key Takeaways
Stitch Fix Kids delivers cute, stylish clothing right to your door and they make it so easy to send back what you don't want using the prepaid envelope they provide. While you may pay boutique prices, the convenience and unique styles make it worth it to us each month! This month was kind of a mixed bag for us since some items were too warm-weather-oriented for this late in the season, but we also found a lot of really cute pieces that my daughter loved.
