Fall is here, and that means it's time for the foods of the season to start making their first appearances of the year. Before long, turkey and stuffing will be on the menu, pecan pies will be coming out of ovens, and pumpkin spice will be everywhere. Here at MSA, we wanted to shine a spotlight on some of our favorite fall foods (and talk about the subscriptions that help make them happen)! Here are the MSA team's favorite fall food picks:

Favorite Fall Food: Vegetarian Pumpkin Chili
Why I Love It: My favorite fall food is vegetarian pumpkin chili, which I love to enjoy with a cold pumpkin beer on the side. It's perfect for game days or quick dinners, and it just tastes so warm and comforting!

Favorite Fall Food: Hot Apple Cider
Why I Love It: Warm and soothing, topped with a dollop of whipped cream and caramel drizzle, what's not to love about hot apple cider? Fall is my favorite season, and this is when I go into apple mode- apple cider, candy apples, apple pie, and apple crumble... I can't get enough of these farmstand finds!

Favorite Fall Food: Homemade Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup
Why I Love It: When the Fall air starts nipping at my nose, there is nothing better than snuggling up in a cozy sweater to eat an oversized bowl of creamy chicken noodle soup. Made with our very own grown vegetables, there is nothing more satisfying than this hearty dish served up with some fresh bread and butter. Yum!

Favorite Fall Food: Apples
Why I Love It: The first time I went apple picking, I went a little overboard and picked bags and bags of apples. After we left the orchard, I looked up how long picked apples last, and was surprised when I read that apples picked in the fall can last until February. I made applesauce and pies, so they didn’t quite make it to the new year, but the apples I was biting into in December were still super crisp. Honestly, nothing beats an apple you picked yourself, and now it’s my favorite fall tradition and I never worry about picking too many!

Favorite Fall Food: Chicken Pot Pie
Why I Love It: I realize this isn’t a “fall only” good, but I’m from Florida so, sipping on hot soup when it’s 100 degrees outside isn’t my jam. But to me chicken pot pie perfectly channels what fall means to me: coziness! It’s like a taste from home with that warm hug you get from family when visiting during fall. I would say a chicken pot pie is the equivalent to a cozy fall night, watching your favorite holiday movies, wrapped in a chunky blanket.

Favorite Fall Food: Pumpkin Pie
Why I Love It: Nothing says “fall is here!” quite like the taste of pumpkin, and IMHO pumpkin pie is king. No Thanksgiving table is complete without one, and I make sure to save room every single year for a big giant slice topped with whipped cream. Is there anything better than the taste of pumpkin mixed with holiday baking spices? Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves… so much yes!
