The bra was carefully wrapped and the cups were stuffed, which really terrified me because it just look so large. This was mainly due to coconut-sized stuffing to help the bra maintain its shape, but still!

I used to wear regular bras to the gym because sports bras can be such a pain if you have a larger cup size. They either aren't supportive, are impossible to get on, or they just make your bustline look even more huge! When I noticed this pretty blue sports bra, I figured it looked soft, feminine, and it was also a style I could pull over my head, which I prefer. Honestly, whoever designed zip-front sports bras for boobs as large as mine wasn't thinking about how hard it is to keep the bits in the right place and simultaneously zip a small zipper between them without tears. Though this style is a pullover, it has three different adjustable sliders which make it feel like a custom fit.

I normally avoid padding at all costs because I just don't want any extra added to my top, but this was very thinly lined like a demi style cup. When I am lifting heavy weights at the gym I don't need as much support as a runner might, but I really get annoyed when my headlights are pointing in different directions and just looking wild. This bra hides any crazy nipple moments without beefing up my bosom and the support is more than enough for any of my weight-lifters out there. Running on a treadmill was actually still pretty ok in terms of bounce and miles better than my other bras. (Yes, I ran for like 3 minutes for this review and almost died). Another solid design feature here is that the straps cross over my back, distributing the weight evening and preventing pain and soreness. I loathe the styles that have a racerback because the pressure sits on that spot right underneath my neck. None of those issues here! Both the stretch satin and the mesh are also soft and non-irritating too, even when sweaty.
My Verdict
I decided to take a chance on this month's Adore Me pick and it was a gamble well played. In addition to being comfortable and supportive, this bra is really, really cute which is a lot more than I can say for most sports bras in my size. The beautiful blue shade makes it feel special and thoughtful details like the light blue mesh and the customizable straps make this a big winner in my book. And I think the price is pretty great too, especially compared to a lot of sports bra brands out there. Adore Me is now a great place for me to find both lingerie AND more practical items, and I love that. I hope you will stop in next month when I try out their period panties. Apparently, I am down to be out of my comfort zone this fall!
