Before checking out Huron's website, I knew nothing about the brand. Seeing more hygiene brands popping up that cater to men is exciting and encourages men to research the products they use, find a signature scent, and customize their hygiene needs to fit their own lifestyle. While I am not a man, I purchased products with the intent to gift to a guy friend and get their opinion--although I ended up deciding to keep a few products for myself because I loved the scents. Let's break down what I got.

My First Impressions
I received a selection of hair care and body wash products--but Huron does also offer skincare for men. I received the classic shampoo and conditioner duo, two body washes, and two bar soaps. For testing purposes, I tried out the body wash and soap but let my friend take the shampoo and conditioner for a spin as I have different hair needs compared to most men. I like the packaging, it's easy to read and explains what the main ingredients do for your hair or skin. The bottles feel sturdy and the design is simple yet trendy.

The shampoo in the range has a hydrating and nourishing formula that washes away daily oil, sweat, and flakes. It's formulated with oils and vitamins that smooth, hydrate, and moisturize hair with a rich, creamy lather. There are no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, or aluminum in this product. I let my male friend use this shampoo and he loved how soft his hair felt once it dried--he also noted that he deals with dandruff on the reg but noticed way fewer flakes after using this shampoo for three days. The hydration and moisture in this product didn't weigh down my friend's hair, he said he was still able to style as usual without losing any volume.
Huron Conditioner - Retail Value $14.00

This conditioner is lightweight and works to moisturize, smooth frizz, and restore shine. Use this product if your hair is prone to dullness, dryness, breakage, and frizz. My friend gave the same reviews for the conditioner--he's used to using a 2-in-1 so he had to figure out an appropriate amount of conditioner that wouldn't make his hair look greasy. About a quarter-size was all he needed to get a soft and shiny finish.
Body Wash Sandalwood + Black Pepper - Retail Value $14.00

I gave this body wash a try and was very impressed with the lather, hydration, and moisture. Not to mention, the scent is both woodsy and leathery which left me feeling refreshed and recharged. I used this wash in the morning and it woke me up and made me feel ready for my day. I also noticed that the scent stayed on my skin all day, while many other body washes I've tried fade after a few hours.
Body Wash Original Citrus + Eucalyptus - Retail Value $14.00

This body wash works the same as the sandalwood + pepper wash, but it's in the original citrus + eucalyptus scent. I personally liked this scent more as it was a little more subtle and refreshing.

When it comes to bar soap, Huron has nailed both the size and the shape. This bar retails for $8.00 and it's a lot of soap--5 ounces to be exact. I can tell that this bar will go a long way, so it's worth every dollar. I also like the shape: it's slightly curved to give you a solid grip so the bar doesn't slip out while you're using it. Another major bonus: I didn't feel sticky and dry after using this soap like I normally do with other bars.
Was This Box Worth It?
Overall, I think this box is perfect for men who want to find affordable products that are effective, smell good, and are better for you and the planet (who wouldn't be into all of this). Subscribing to have your favorite products sent every one to three months means you don't have to experience a shower without body wash or shampoo because you forgot to go out and purchase more--and you also get 15% off and free shipping. The hair products worked great for my friend who gets dandruff, he said his hair felt soft, was flake-free, ad easy to style post-shower. The body products gave me everything I want: a good lather to make me feel cleaner, a fresh scent that lasts all day, and packaging that is easy to open or hold while showering.
